Grate! Grate! Grate!

App is super-trumper useful, would be grate if you add a gradient tool 👌
Great app, but...
By Socks & sandles
I love using this app, I’ve made all sorts of cover art and backgrounds, etc. this app has been great, but they recently updated the app which deleted all of my artwork that I’ve spent hours on hours working on. I usually subscribe to pro when I work on a specific project, otherwise there is no need for me to do it. However, I was very disappointed to going into the app to find a new update and all of my drawings missing. Very disappointed.
This app is amazing
I love the balance between simplicity and flexibility. This has just enough features to create my own designs, but doesn’t offer so many features that it’s impossible to learn
One minor request: I’d love to be able to specify hex or RGB values for colors rather than just using a color picker. This would be super useful for matching existing color schemes.
Shape library problems
1- I have purchased the all shapes pack before,
Now I note most of my shapes pack seem no em with no shapes,
I try make restore purchase (in m iPad) then click download all pack… but unfortunately not effect
2- In my iPhone I have another problem
It give me massage no pervious purchases… and I’m in beta version, is this reason for this problem?
And how I fix it
Need help please

Great and awesome but you are money hungry because i have to have premium to have unlimited projects so 4 stars
Great fun !!!
But its great
Update-still think it’s a great app needs update(s)
One being an easier way of getting knowing about up date
5 stars, of course, but I have a festering question and it’s driving me MAD 😳
Doesn’t this app have a community to see and share with others? Where the hell did it go? I have NO IDEA where to find it like it just disappeared & im SOOO aggravated right now 😤😭
This app should be in any logo creators phone or iPad. It is so useful for getting ideas down quick and very intuitive for layering all your ideas into a story board. Love this app.
I enjoyed it for the brief time I used it, but I am shocked that it defaults to a 2.99 subscription WEEKLY. Why is that even an option, when a monthly or yearly is much much less? Everything is gated by money. It’s a great product ruined by greed.
An Illustrator type app made for touch control!

It’s a great UI, you can soon make something you will like. Suitable for all ages!
ASSEMBLY: Nice Updates!
• The new and evolving features in Assembly reflect the devs knowledge of design and what tools can be useful for photographers and designers.
• Assembly’s updates are meaningful, stable and enhance my work.
• Apple recently moved to a subscription model for iPhones (and more) and “gently pushed” devs to realize the fair value for the apps/art/tools they create.
• 99¢ apps are long gone and devs deserve the value of their work—subscriptions are the future.
• I AGREE.
• DEVS ARE PEOPLE TOO!
• There’s a trial version and a very fairly priced subscription version.
• Legacy Owners HAVE been given time before subscription pricing activated.
• I was out of the USA, away from phones and computers (seriously nice), and just returned about three days ago...I think. (SERIOUS jet lag.)
• Devs slapped me upside the head with kindness, great service, and supportive answer.
• I hereby rewrite my review to reflect the amazing Assembly app and the dev’s truly genuine solution. (I waved my hands around in the air to make this officially and worthy of using the word “hereby”.)
• I should have emailed the devs before I went whining like a whining person on the Review pages—I ALWAYS FORGET to do that! Dam TBI!
• THAT’S WHY “Contact Us” PAGES WERE INVENTED!
• Thank you, Pixite.
• Still besties?
I no longer use Adobe Illustrator
Yes, you heard me right, thats how great this app is. It allows for full customization and flexibility for any graphic designer as well as the portability.
Though, it still isn't perfect and would like to see more things
Things I would like to see:
-Better Snapping ~
At the moment, snapping is ok, but when augmenting a shape's width and height it doesn't snap to other shapes. Also, when there are many objects in your project, it tends to get cluttered with objects to snap with.
-Custom Color Palletes
-The Ability to images into a project
-Custom project dimensions
Thats really it on things I wanna see, but more content is always appreciated :)
Love this app! Three things that can be improved
- Having the option to layout a grid with an opacity slider and the ability to control the density of the grid would be very useful for things that require symmetry.
- The ability to warp text is long overdue. If Microsoft word can do it, this app should definitely be able to do it!
- Lastly, we need a color gradient tool and maybe even a paint bucket tool. I find that coloring is the most restrictive part of of this app.
Subscription based apps are greedy money grabs
Downloaded this app only to find it very limited, everything behind a subscription paywall. Looking through these reviews it looks like this was once a one time purchase to unlock the premium features. I will not be supporting any subscription based app, let me pay 10 or 15 dollars for permanent unlock or you won’t get my money at all.
$3 a week!
I was interested in trying this but not if there’s going to be a weekly recurring charge. Maybe for $3 a month!

يسحب رصيد حتى بعد الحذف
Completely lousy app.
Don’t bother with this app as it is completely limited to shapes they have for you. This turned out to be a waste of time for me. I only hope I can delete this w/o getting charged.
This app is amazing

For logo design and simple, modern graphic design projects, Assembly is powerful, efficient, and easy to use.
Very fun and easy
I am having a lot of fun playing with this app, and I'm excited about the different features it has. Some features aren't very intuitive and take time getting used to and finding when you need them, and the procreate app (though very different) is more powerful and less money. I also really don't like things you have to subscribe to. But overall pretty cool.
كل شي بي فلوس حتا حفظ التصميم
It’s that good...
I wrote a review before, but I’ll say it again. It is a great great app. In fact I upgraded my phone due to this app. I love it. I love working around things it does not have yet. I love solving things out within the constraints of this program. They add new features to make it better and better. I am one of the early adopters of this app and gladly unlocked all the shapes. If this had a subscription I would sub it. I can’t say enough about it. Give it a shot. Use other apps with it to get amazing results too. It is an art making tool that runs great on iPad and iPhone. Keep up the great work. I don’t mind paying again to keep this app alive and current. That is how much I love it.
Amazing!!! But NEEDS Improvement!
By Adam Ashbaker
First off let me say that the app is so amazing. However there are many crucial things I think it needs.
-First of all a proper layering system like in Procreate or Pixelmator.
-We need tons of more snapping features within the editing of individual shapes. Currently when you go to edit an individual shale it removes almost all snapping points. This make it incredibly hard to transform shapes into exactly how you want them.
-Ability to import regular JPG files for reference. This would be really helpful and just for reference to overall shapes on actual pictures.
-Ability to Erase parts of the shapes in the app.
-Ability to have transparent background (checkerboard pattern) within the editing canvas.
-Also one last thing that would be so amazing is adding some type of animation/gif creator. I make video games and there is huge potential for this app to be super useful for game designers. If there was simply a sort of story board on the bottom that had multiple images within an animation and then you could rotate and image slightly and move to the next image to rotate it again or adjust it to create simple animations. Then have the ability to export as .gif and as a file with all .png in it to then move over to the game engine. It seems like the app has all the ground work for that and it would be such an amazing addition.
I hope you’ll take my feedback into consideration, thank you!
This apps is great..

This Assembly Apps is great and if you are looking to create your own new sticker and logo than this apps is perfect for you...
Epic, but needs one tiny thing...
Amazing app!! I ❤️ it, but for the colors, can you please add something so we get an exact number? I’m kind of a perfectionist in that, so it would really help! Thanks for the amazing app!
EDIT: OK, so I got this app a little while ago after getting a new iPad, and it changed, but not for the better. You really can’t leave in the combine for none pro users? Really?
I love so much
You can make so many cool things
Simply the best
This app is simply the best. You can create virtually anything you want when you put your mind to it. I love it. It is a keeper.
I love creating textile designs on the app. I wished there were more new tiles.
Annoying - settings is grayed out so I cant cancel!
Doesn’t seem to work
When I open this app I get a blank “My Work” screen. No options to create a new drawing appear. Have deleted and reinstalled. iOS 12.1.2. I used to have a previous version of this app installed and it worked well.
By Panda Express Isn't Food
It’s a weekly subscription service
Thumbnails not working
After the last update/major update that changed the interface, the thumbnails of arts no longer load... so everything is just a blank white square. I’ve waited for days, but none of them have loaded.
I also feel that the developers have stopped adding new content (shapes). I’m grateful for the added features to customize the existing shapes, but continuing to add new shapes is really important as well. I know the developers have added lots of new features lately, but I would really like more shapes! :(
I can see how Adobe has subscription based products but there should be a one time purchase for this app. I can’t do anything without subscribing. While this has some good features, it’s definitely not worth the price that they are asking. I’d pay a $10 one time unlock but that’s it.
This is my favorite app in the world. It has helped expand my imagination and extend my imagination beyond what I though I was capable of. I have some of my creations created on this app listed for sale on Adobe stock site. Since using this app, I started using Illustrator more and enhanced my knowledge of Illustrator.
I especially love import svg feature and also the ability to edit a shape where I can skew it. I do most of my graphic design in here and then open in Illustrator for .ai saving. I get my designs done quicker in this app. I use this app in an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil
That $30/yr is worth it
Best app for quick logo mockups
I use this app for quick geometric logos which I can then export as svg for fuether development. The snap function is super useful to speed up the process. This is one of my go-to apps for design work on the go.
This app was a great app, but like all great apps, this app has come to an end and succumbed to the idea of monthly subscriptions, I cannot even use it for free, You either have to subscribe to this app every month for $2.99 I believe or find another (my choice) goodbye assembly
Love it please make Mac app too .
By Trasher___ Man
Just because it’s free doesn’t mean it’s bad. Assembly is easily the best graphic design app I’ve encountered. It’s easy, simple, and can be suited for professionals and children alike. I’ve been using this now for a while and I’ve encountered a few small problems but none that take away greatly from the app.
Other than a few small things this app is honestly really good. Solid 4.75/5.
I’ve created soo many logos with this app. It’s so intuitive and easy to use
It used to be fabulous! Now it crashes all the time
Let’s you create awesome stickers that you can use in messages
Finally folders... Sort of
I've been wanting the ability to organize my stickers since about 2 months in from when I started using it around the time this was first released. Having a couple hundred stickers tends to both slow things down... A lot. Thanks for adding it to the my work. Though it'd be great to be able to group our own sticker packs still.
Best graphic design app. Period.
Can’t be topped. Started out amazing and every update makes it even better. Honestly the only thing that would make this app better is if you could import simple logos or designs from pictures and use them as in app objects but regardless this is the single best design app out there. Does more than apps that charge big $$$ even come close too. It’s the AutoCAD of graphic design amazing.
A fee per week? Yeah nice try.
Endless creative possibilities, and some uninspired additions
Update for something I can't use/see:
I am on an iPod Touch 5th Gen, running highest iOS possible (9.3).
I assume because of that, the app is occasionally buggy for me. Many objects will not show up for me unless I delete the app, reinstall, restore purchases, and re-download the pack I would like to use. I also cannot update any further, but apparently I can still receive the "please rate" messages. Woohoo (/s).
Update for the addition of text and stickers:
I personally could have done without either. Now the interface feels crowded (iPhone screen) and clunky.
There are some great apps that are designed specifically to add text to images (I use "Over") and I think this app should have left that to them. An app designed to add text will always out preform an app for creating shapes that also lets you add text.
IMHO I think the stickers look tacky and take away from how creative this app used to feel. I came to create my own shapes/"stickers" and these feel...lazy. Uninspired.
Overall I dislike this update. It went from feeling like all ages were welcome to create, to feeling like all ages welcome but really this is to shut kids up while patents are driving.
Which (in addition to disliking pushy "Rate this app" interruptions that appear the instant I open an updated app I haven't even had a chance to look at, asking ("") for a 5 star review to 'keep updates coming') is why I dropped to 3 stars.
This app lets you do SO MUCH (especially with the addition of creating your own shapes), even with only the basic packs.
I love that you can make your own color pallets (and save them!), the color wheel is pretty easy to use, and there is an eye-dropper to pick colors directly from your Artboard (if you've uploaded your own). I suggest looking up HEX color pallets, saving the images, and selecting those images as your artboard. Create your in-app pallets from the HEX/artboard using the eye-dropper, save that custom pallet and voilà! New pallet(s!) to use in the app. I haven't found a limit to the number of custom pallets the app allows, but I also wasn't looking. I have enough that I can scroll a bit before I arrive at the default pallets.
Sometimes the app crashes, but only if I'm "going crazy" - adding a LOT (about 100 total) of copied/pasted stars, with various transparencies, in several different sizes, rotated in many alternate directions, at a fairly rapid pace and including multiple changes-of-heart. *Then* the app behaves a bit jittery, but since I was too, the blame seems equal to me :).
Union is also a great app, but once you export your project to Union to edit, everything will be locked as-is. In the event you export your project back into Assembly, your project is, essentially, the artboard. Anything new you add will be separate, and I think may be a new project in your library, though I can't remember and am too lazy to check for an iTunes review ;)
Why 4 stars?
• On the iPod/Phone size screen, the workspace is a bit cramped.
• Objects anchor/align by the corners, but resize from the center.
Sounds like no big deal, but it can be really frustrating when everything snaps together incorrectly because the sizes are slightly off, multiplied by the number of objects used, regardless of how many are locked together.
• Turning off the 'snap to grid' feature also unlocks rotating the object while resizing. It would be incredibly helpful if these were separate, toggle-able features.
• Turning on the 'snap to grid' feature will re-align any object that was carefully placed when the 'grid' was off, back to the grid, but only if that object is selected at any time while the 'grid' is on. If you don't accidentally select it like I keep doing, you'll be fine. Probably.
• Locking objects together does not also combine the points where those objects align to the grid. New objects added can/will snap/align to each individual object within the locked group.
The 'create your own object' feature is a great work-around for this, just not all the time.
LOVE this app
I have one suggestion being able to make gradients in the style menu
Love this app, definitely my go to app for all of my designs, really loving the last couple of major updates, I have been using this app for the past 2 years, and I still get excited to see it under the update section in the App Store. Would love to see some more pro features come to this app ( grids,pt/px/in, advanced font editing). Keep up the great work!
