  • Fine money spending tracking user experience but enough to beat other trash apps

    By Seeyan Zoo
My need is to find an app to recognize the transactions and put it in the right category so that I can track my spending. Unfortunately, the app store have hundreds of apps and other apps do not put too much attention to basic functions and instead to how they make every penny from us customers. Truebill is the choice after I tried 10+ money spending apps but it stills have drawbacks. A big part of my spending is like my friends pay the bill and I give them money via Venmo and other transfers. But Truebill isn't smart in change the categories of those transfers to others. It does not have batch operations and the UI is stupid because it refresh all even if you just change one category of one transaction. It does not recognize the transaction titls very smartly. It seems to me that they only care about the transactions they can benefit from you, like making you believe you should buy their service. That is really short-sighted. But I still give 4-star because other spending tracking apps are trash!
  • Never use this app

    By rockstar569
I used the app to try to lower my AT&T bill and then I decided to cancel the Negotiation. It still went though and I was charged and can not get ahold of anyone to fix this. This is just a way for them to take your money even when you change your mind.
  • Scam

    By jazzzybb
This app makes absolutely no sense. They claimed to have saved me $20 a month on my WiFi bill, but they automatically charged me $40 without my permission a week after I deleted the app and unlinked all my card info. they want you to pay double of the monthly amount that they’re supposedly “saving” you?? Makes zero sense. Tried to call and email and have gotten no response yet, not to mention my WiFi bill is not changed or lowered what so ever so I’m paying them 7 $40 monthly payments for absolutely nothing. This is a scam, don’t even download it. I will be waiting for someone from Truebill to contact me and give me a refund.
  • So convenient

    By Daone489
Love the convenience of this app, with premium subscription you pick your monthly payments. They also cancel any subscriptions you have and don’t want anymore. Thanks for the great app
  • Bill lowering service is shady

    By Teddyury
Like other reviews have mentioned, the service which promises to lower bills seems hit or miss. In my case, Truebill lowered my cable bill by $40 (total) at a cost of $90. This is because they arbitrarily estimate the length of the service which defaulted to 12 months. Support seemed to brush off my inquiry and —nearly a week later— I haven't received a response.
  • Fraudluent App

    By zeolite4ever
This app is a complete fraud. I wish I had read other comments, as others appear to have had the same issue as me. They offered to negotiate my Verizon bill. They contacted Verizon and got my bill lowered. TrueBill charged me their commission. However, the only way they got my bill lowered was by taking me off my unlimited plan and placing me on a 10GB plan without my consent. I.e. they downgraded my plan. I contacted Verizon and they confirmed as such. This was misleading and fraudulent, and quite frankly, illegal. I have contacted True Bill customer support and still no response.

This company is a scam and a disgrace. They charge you for things that you can actually do for yourself in order to be compensated for fees or reduce a bill. Please do not think due to a lack of information that they are able to do anything for you that you can not do for yourself. They have no special connections with these companies and even if you do see improvement as others have stated in their reviews their bills late end up even the more outrageous than what they were before. I would suggest for everyone to call your creditors for yourself and ask them about lowering your bills or getting fees returned. I myself have been able to do this for years but was unaware that so many didn't know about it so when I ran across this company I thought they were offering something "different" and was sadly mistaken to say the least. The first opportunity I had, I deleted my account and have not looked back. Also, if you do not change your notification settings will be be annoyed to no end with frivolous and unnecessary emails from them mainly regarding what you probably ALREADY KNOW. I'm sure they are making a good buck off of that feature alone.
  • Doesn’t work as expected

    By Trishraymond
Won’t link all of my accounts I discovered this within 5 mins of signing up for this “premium” and requested a refund immediately. 4 days later I’m still waiting for help getting my money back. It was a hassle just to cancel! So far they’ve only helped me not be charged further but I want my money back.
  • Terrible app!

    By Alwayshome63
First of all the app kept loosing its connection with my bank account. I tried to get the app and my account rekindled several times. After loosing the link between the two a 5th time. I just removed the rest of my accounts that were linked...or so I thought. This month I received a notification from truebill that they negotiated with Verizon on my behalf and saved me $75. That was great! But, I thought they had no access to my account because I’d deleted it. Plus, how could they pay themselves $30 from my account if it was no longer linked! Not only that, after speaking with Verizon they negotiated a new contract on a phone that has had suspended service since December 2017. This renogitiated a new contract on a phone I had lost and didn’t replace, but still had a balance that I was paying on because I owed for the purchase of the new phone. On top of that, this phone was paid off and totally deactivated/removed from my account in Nov 3018. Both TRUEBILL & VERIZON are at fault! At this point TRUEBILL COST ME MONEY rather than saved by adding a contract to a line no longer viable to the tune of at the end of the one year contract on a deactivated phone of around $240. I’m responsible to pay on a contract for a deactivated phone, PLUS THE $30 they paid themselves. So, now I’m out of pocket $270! Will Truebill return my $30 for the fiasco I’ve had to clean up! Stay tuned!
  • I was recommended by a website but

    By kuunderecoco
I started reading the reviews and I’m glad I did. I came to check this app out cause I need to lower my bills but I see all these extra fees being charged for helping you lower your bills or for other unknown reasons, and I came here to lower my bills, not give away MORE money. 👎
  • Save money on ur bills so you can pay truebill instead

    By NelldaMYLF
I have all my bills listed in the notes of my phone so when I seen truebill i though awesome & downloaded it immediately. Im glad I checked the reviews before committing to the premium service. It seems your saved from spending money with one company just to give that money to truebill. Also the lack of customer support bothers me. If Im paying for a service and I need help Id like a better response time Ill continue to use the free portion but I want no parts in a service thats charging me by helping me “save” money.
  • FRAUD!!!!

    By True gaming reward
I set up an account to help manage and view bills, they negotiated double the amount of the bill, and never sought prior authorization, contacted the company the supposedly negotiated with, no contact was ever made, and they still charged for double the amount of savings!! I tried contacting their customer service multiple times, and they seem to be ignoring my inquiries. If this had no stars I would select that.

  • So far so good

    By MyraNut
This is an eye opener of seeing how much I spend on dumb things & is helping me understand how to control where my money has gone automatically. Great app idea & highly recommended
  • Incorrect advertising

Free is free. Doesn’t mean you have to pay something.
  • Great App

    By Whimsicalvirgo
I’ve has this app for several months now and love being able to manage all my bills in one place. It definitely beats using the spreadsheet that I used to make each month :)
  • Not worth it

    By je551k477
Can’t link my corry federal credit union to it. Worthless to me
  • app forzen, frozen, frozen

    By Tabs key Amaden
only sctolling works and cannot click anything, frozen in my whole use of one weeks. Try 50+ time open and quit. Try 3+ times reinstall. Tell the service and nothing happened to me, not even told me SDE was researing questions.

    By coach_jalil
Super cool best way to track money literally
  • Huge scam

    By Abhishek Kar
At the face of it, this looks like a great app. But the biggest advantage this app promises which is saving money is an outright scam. It made some hypothetical arrangement with my network service provider which doesn’t even reflect on my bill and charged 40% of the savings for the whole year towards their development fee. They wouldn’t respond to any service complaints and are truly a disaster.

    By Mnicoleg
They claim to lower you bills and then charge you $250!!! I had a $100 att bill they claimed they negotiated a lower price.... they said we got you from$175 down to $130... and then charged me $250 for this negotiation!
  • Cancel

How do I cancel premium??? I should have read the reviews first.
  • Good for those looking to improve finances

    By Chicago1815
I think that this is a great app. I don’t rate too many but I really like this app. I even subscribed to the upgraded version. I would give it 5 stars if you guys were to: 1. Enable a confirmation be sent before final negotiations are reached.
  • Update

    By Bph8
With the most recent update, my app is going straight from December or February and skipping January. Can you correct this, please?
  • Incredible

    By kcuchiara
If you don’t have True Bill you are missing out! It’s fantastic!
  • Poor service = no stars

    By Godisgood92
Only reason I’m saying this is because, I cancelled my gym membership last month thought Truebill and I was still charged for this month. Truebill is a true lie!
  • Real

    By Hahakahahksh
No joke this is a really good app
  • Useless

    By Nativeflgirl
Half of my accounts “can’t be linked” and bills such as my Verizon wireless and my power or satellite aren’t even options.... don’t waste your time.
  • My bank not listed

    By Nannybeth55
You do not have my bank First State of Brownsboro in Texas. I need this app so please add it. I love your app and would like to use it
  • Excellent App to manage earnings and spendings

    By Bharadwaj19
This is the first time I am writing a review for a mobile app. This application has made my money management lot easier. You can filter on spend categories and see month and year wise earnings and spendings. I got rid of few subscriptions which I forgot when I saw them on app.
  • 40 percent fee to negotiate is a bit extreme

    By Iphoneprankster
This isn’t the worst app. It gives you a good idea on what are your spending habits. I allowed True Bill to negotiate my phone bill. They are were able to bring it down 135 dollars for the entire year. I think it’s a bit extreme to charge a 40 percent fee! Guys can we work on lowering that a bit. I would be much happier.
  • Good spending analysis, continued improvements

    By Paranormal Molotov
Not perfect, but definitely a five star app. Sometimes recurring bills don’t get added automatically, but this has been improving steadily since I joined. Overall, an excellent way to get a better look into your spending habits and how much each area of your life is costing you.
  • One of the best finance app

    Who don’t like saving money??!!!!
  • False advertisement

    By Yeni19837655
I downloaded this because I wanted my blink membership to cancel easily. They did not do that. The only reason I bought the monthly subscription for this app was for them to do that . . I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to cancel blink membership...
  • False charges!! Won’t respond to you when you question them.

    By pinkglttrprncess
This app seemed promising. Within two or three days, they had negotiated my bill “down by $10 a month”. Therefore I was charged 40% of the (supposed) $120 I am (supposedly) saving. I come to find out that they negotiated it before taxes and fees, so I’m actually saving $7 a month. I asked for a refund on the 40% fee, and to be charged 40% on the $84 I’m saving in actuality. I’ve been waiting for a response for two weeks now. Only one person messaged me to say “we saved you $10 a month”...?? I was already informed of this, and, by the way- I am not saving that much! They are only getting two stars because they saved me something... otherwise, they are nickel and diming people who rely on these types of services. Awful! I am ready to report to the attorney generals office. Make this right!
  • Cannot log back in through Facebook?

    By lightnaros
Might be a glitch right now but I cannot log into my account. Fix on the way?
  • Love it...AT FIRST

    By GabrielleRH22
At first I used to love this app and how it tracked me spending habits, because I became aware of how crazy (as a college student) I spend money quicker than I can make it and I wanted to see what things I needed to cut out so I can make it possible for me to save money. The only problem I had with this app that later made me unlink my bank accounts, delete my profile & my account was because it didn’t update my bills and spending for about two weeks in the month of November and I kept refreshing it to see if it will update and it never did, then I wanted to adjust when my bills were do and it doesn’t give me that option either so everything was incorrect on my account and all over the place so I decided that the app was starting to become no use to me so I decided to delete my account.
  • Hey, it works

    By fakehead
It’s had a situation where I was charged all at once for a bunch of stuff and was over drawn by three separate payments. It was a fluke really but thanks to true bill’s automatic overdraft fee refund request, I was able to recover around four overdraft fees at $36 dollars a pop. It basically has paid for itself since then. A few things to consider. Banks will only refund overdraft fees a few times before they stop. Truebill should really have a lower my bill questionnaire before you send them off to lower bills. Things like what do you want to keep when lowering bills? Data strikes me as something people would want to know about before a bill is changed. This way, truebill knows what the customer is ready to lose in order to bring their bill down and things are not willing to part with. In essence, a checklist of features that truebill knows know to work within. It’s a great app and worth the optional premium price.
  • Spam city!

    By yogaptla
Added this app to my phone and within an hour was inundated to my email address with 100s of junk emails. Hadn’t done anything else in my phone exceptnadd the app. Coincidence? All the emails said I had “subscribed” or that I had been added to their subscriber list. I’ve spent all day deleting emails. What a mess....
  • Don’t do it!!

    By AAllen1981
Truebill seems like a good idea until they charge you and don’t tell you. I was charged $72 and emailed hours later. This caused my checking account to be overdrawn and multiple fees to be assessed. It took them almost a week to refund it and then they told me too bad about the fees. By bank only would refund 3 of the fees which left me -$115. Customer service is horrible and not helpful at all. They refused to help me even though they created the problem in the first place. Do not use them!!!!
  • Good sets of functionalities, but visual is overwhelming

    By snowdawg12
90% of the text you see it’s either bold or semibold. Very overwhelming since you don’t know which information you need to look at.
  • Great visibility

    By benpb777
Using this app has really opened my eyes as to what I am spending my money on and helps manage my subscriptions. I love the format of the app as well. I would highly recommend.
  • Loving it for expense tracking

    By JessiS35
This app is by far the beat I’ve seen for tracking income and expenses and it even negotiates lower bills for you! Such an awesome feature. I’ve tried many other apps and they are not nearly as easy to use as this one. Thanks!
  • Think I’ll uninstall

    By nopenotdoingit
I just installed them read the reviews, yikes shows how important good reviews are and how they can impact your business. Not worth the risk.. uninstall
  • Customer feedback a joke

    By danny987678
    They don’t even respond
  • What a scam!

    By bamsir
They are charging you for service they did not deliver. They “lowered” my bill for the next 12 months but charged me right away! Don’t enroll!
