  • Payment

    By Suitscc
The app is an amazing idea. Teaches you everything you would need to know, BUT the pay barrier is way too much. I could go watch YouTube videos and learn everything for only have to watch a few ads. Lower the price or have ads with a payment options to have no ads would be amazing even though you won’t.
  • Love it but...

    By yay! 🤗
Ok so I absolutely LOVE this app. However, I HATE how you have to pay for almost EVERYTHING! I get you have to make money but still. I can’t even do the build a website thing without having to pay! Please change this! I really want to use mimo but I’m only 11 anda can’t exactly go around paying for every app I see! I just REALLY want to do the build a website thing! 🥺🥺🥺
  • Good app, but not good on the free plan

By You think i need a nicknams
Mimo is a good app for learning things like HTML, JavaScript, and how to be a hacker. Bu, there is one problem. 95% percent of classes are only for a paid subscription, WHY??? You could have just put in ads at the beginning and end of each lesson! I rate it 2 stars because of the availability of classes on free plan
  • I love it

    By zellbonr
I spend probably too much time on my phone and I feel this is going to be a good use of my time and my foot in the door.
  • It seems to be free but not..

    By Funtimesummer
I bought this app to learn about coding but it gives you one chapter and the rest is for premium..I did 5 stars to get to the top soo.
  • Love&Hate

Love:I love learning the coding it’s a good app for kids but I think you need to change the age rating 9+. Hate:😤😡😢Ok first of all why is finishing cost money and it’s a lot of it like too much. No hate AND NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE OR MEAN

    By Mudvayne1986
I really like this app! For those of you complaining about the price, you’re over reacting! I’m a beginner at coding and I’m really beginning to get a hang of things! Worth the $30!! Can’t wait to Master all courses!! I really plan on going to school and starting a new career with Coding!
  • Learning A lot

    By Ryanjaq29
I have been recently thinking about going back to college and majoring in Computer Science. I’ve only been using this app for 2-3 days and I’ve already learned so much! You start on a 7 day trial then move on to $79.99 a year. It can teach you practically any programming language there is from webpage design(html language), to IPhone’s IOS software(Swift language). You can cancel before you are charged the yearly amount but if you are serious about learning to code I would definitely give it a shot! All in all if you are using this app to learn for your future job then $79.99 a year is a great investment. (This is like the first serious review I’ve ever given on anything lol)
  • Mimo is amazing

    By coding potter
Mimo has helped me so much with coding 👍
  • Take notes!

    By all4hero
I really like learning with this program BUT these are complex ideas to someone who is new to programming. Don’t make the mistake I did. Take notes! After the lesson write down as much as you can remember bc you won’t be able to retake or reference the lesson in the future. You can only access the recharge portion. Why would they limit us in this way — no idea! Just make it a habit even if it seems like you’re remembering it easily at the beginning. The ideas build off of each other and their is no reviewing and incorporation of past lessons. I do recommend Mimo but this is a really ridiculous restriction— and I can’t go back and retake the lessons without starting a new account and paying again, so...
  • I actually open this app

    By TwerkTheSwork
While I really want to learn how to code, I find actually opening the app and getting started pretty difficult. This app makes me want to open it and get to learning.
  • Deleting the app but overall good

    By Doge cute
I would of given it 1 star but it is good for beginners but the money to be paid for lessons is a bit too much I am still a kid and am very tech savvy but want to get a start on coding but I might keep the app if I get a response because like someone else said I hope there is a update to be ads before lessons except having to pay. Please respond ASAP..... Thank You!
  • Not a free app

    By Bladenight314
Despite letting you download it for free the app has little to offer unless you sign up on a monthly “premium” plan. For example I tried to take the C# course and it wouldn’t let me past “Hello World!”. Just use SoloLearn, a genuinely free app
  • The premium is to much-

    By JustAPersonToYou
It’s a great app and I really thought this was ganna be the app the teach me how to code but as soon as I barely finished the first level it said I need premium. The premium is to much- $50 a year or $6 a month? I can’t get it because I’m still a little young and my mother says that’s a bit much for a Learn to Code app. This app was awesome till I needed premium.
  • Really

    By Ndmdkmfc
    Nice to learning the code.
  • Great App

    By TxHurt
Love this app. It makes learning the language easy
  • Spread too thin

    By evanman321
The courses are ok and give me some light exposure to coding in general. However, my progress in the courses constantly gets wiped, forcing me to start from the beginning each time. In addition, I’ve contacted support once weekly for two weeks about my premium subscription (a hefty price) not working and have gotten no response. It seems they can’t properly stitch together teaching, coding, and a proper business model. At least not yet. It’s a shame. Great idea, terrible execution.
  • Needs more

    By د.حسين
Needs more professional app developing courses.
  • Make a game app

    By Lost all my sh*t
I can no longer access the make a game lesson to continue making the game I started. Has this been taking down? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a issue currently. I would like to continue with this program. I don’t really want to spend time doing just courses without hands on.
  • Issue resolved

    By WhoIsWatching2020!
I joined for the trial, my card was charged though I thought I’d canceled the trial subscription. Read over their policy of cancellation with 14 days. Contacted their customer service with NO RESPONSE + NO RESOLVE/REFUND. ***UPDATE*** Received a response, resolve and refund - all timely. Thank you for handling MIMO! Fun app but not worth the high price tag with other options available to learn coding.
  • Do Not Buy!

    By shishianne
The developers response to my last post was not true and my account is still lost. They have done nothing to resolve this and won’t even issue a refund so I’ve paid for nothing. Complete waste of money do not get this app.
  • Great way to get started!

    By KingRah1017
Love Mimo, I try to use it every day. It’s a great way to get introduced to the world of coding and development!
  • Absolutely Unprofessional & Unethical Behavior

    By Rexy Mathew
I had subscribed to Mimo a year back on June 2018. I used it for a while, but found the courses not up to par, so I stopped using it for the last 4-6 months. This year on 13th June, the developer Johannes auto renewed my subscription without my permission and my knowledge. When I asked to cancel the subscription, he has been continually giving one lame excuse after the other for not issuing me a refund. I was auto-subscribed on 13th June 2019 & immediately next day on 14th I requested for a cancellation which this developer has been refusing. Don’t I have the right to refuse an auto renewal and ask for my refund? @Apple Team, I have been duped and robbed by this developer. Request you to intervene and issue my refund at the earliest. I can share copies of my email conversations with this developer.
  • It very good but...

    By Totemcharge
I love this app! It takes me through the steps to learn an entirely new language from virtually no experience. I problem I have with this is the curriculum. I would like a feature to “test out” of things that I already know about. Sorry if I sound needy or like a beggar, but I don’t like having to go through the lessons I had already went through.
  • Great app

    By Bennybcl
If u want to learn how to code this is the app u should get !!!
  • Awful at explaining

    By CC123girl
It’s like the people who made this app have never tried explaining code to anyone. The very first few lessons were fine, so I spent $13 (not $10 like the App Store description claims) for a month long subscription. If you get something wrong it “explains” it by telling you the answer in a technical way which you obviously won’t understand because you didn’t get it when they explained it in a technical way THE FIRST TIME. Found some free apps and websites that are by far better than this such as CodeAcademy and Code.org. Highly recommend those over this.
  • Don’t buy this app

    By Austey1
Tries to get you to do premium for $75, if you decline you get emailed that you can get 50% off, but the offer “expires in 24 hours.” The offer resets when you close the app and go to buy premium. Not 12 hours after the initial email I was sent another that says now I can apparently get the 50% off offer all of spring!! But yeah, about that $70..
  • Find another App - Not consumer friendly

    By Kparsons124
I purchased a year of use to this service over a year ago. I only used the service for a few days. I didn’t find it helpful. It auto-renewed a few days ago. According to subsection 7 of their Terms and Service you have a right to a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you notify them. I’ve notified them. They said they’d refund 50%. After reading so many reviews complaining about the auto-renewal, I’d figure I’d let people who read the reviews know about their terms of service and their business practices.
  • Click bait

    By gomightycard
I think I just subscribed to $80 a year, and there’s no way to turn it off. These people are losers. Nothing worse than trolls trying to lore people into their ridiculous Ponzi schemes.
  • Not a Functional Way to Learn Code

    By XO Man of War
Reading 2 sentences then trying a couple of lines of code in fairly disconnected examples on my phone makes it very challenging to learn this material.
  • Nice idea, but...

    By DercJon
Literally everything costs money outside of a 10ish page introduction lesson.
  • Broken

    By Dj0soul0ja
Got this to further my python skills. It’s stuck on quiz 5 in classes. There is no way to skip the quiz. The quiz is written wrong so there is no right answer. I want my money back.
  • Why Isn’t it Free?

    By William Sterling
I am into video game designing. I make games on Unity using C# and what to do more, but I can’t if I have to pay $80 a month which is ridiculous and I can make large games for free. If this was all free it would be a much better app.
  • Pay for everything

    By 1234114
If you are willing to actually use this app then be willing to pay for everything
  • Not Actually Free

    By Ian947
You can download the app for free but must pay to use it.

    By killmasterkill295
It is a good app to download
  • Stupid Money

    By Anu SP
At the beginning, I enjoyed the first lesson or two. But then I got stuck. And there was no place to get help. And once I got it right I had a pay the other lessons. I did one, and I couldn’t do the others. I am not a professional, and I don’t want to spend money. I just did this for fun. There should also be a way to change your username and avatar photo.
  • Love This App!

    By Ean Erickson
I am using this app to learn Python before I take a Mechanical Engineering class where I will have to use Python to program a robot that picks up objects on it’s own. This app makes everything easy for me because of the daily tutorials and goals. So far, I feel more confident that I’ll learn the basics of this language easily.
  • 🕺🏿

    By Jamarcus💪🏿
Very easily understood. Fairly interactive, this app makes learning code very simple.
  • Automatic Renewal

    By Ellekayee
I stopped using this app quite early into buying a year subscription. I did come back to it here and there because I did pay for a year’s subscription but it wasn’t enough to keep me using the app. My issue is with the automatic renewal. I had no warning email or a notification that I was going to get charged for another year. Two days ago, I checked my emails and I get an invoice from them. So I immediately cancelled my account and emailed them requesting a refund and explained my situation. They said that it’s in the terms and conditions. And that they sent the email out that the auto renewal was coming and that it might have been in my spam folder. I checked my spam folder because it could have been true that I missed it since I never check that thing. Gmail does not delete spam for 30 days and so i looked through and no email. But the invoice was able to find its way through to my inbox pretty well... it doesn’t make sense. In the end they only refunded me 50% of the annual subscription back because “they put some thought into the situation”. I still feel robbed.

Only a few steps are free, 99% costs money. I would recommend a baby coding app over this one. Why not just make EVERYTHING cost money?! The app, the courses, EVERYTHING. At least some baby coding apps are free. Khan academy is SO much better
  • I expected better

    By aidenpeirce1010
I expected to at least get one whole lesson rather than just one thing that barely tells anything except for only starting
  • Stole my money

    By Luke Mersino
It said free trial but it sucked up 40$ the same day. I tried to cancel my subscription and I tried to get refund but it said the app wasn’t eligible for refund i want my money back you money sucking rats.
  • Cost

    By JamisonCoal
    It’s way overpriced
  • Scam.

    By KevinN45837
Waste of money in my opinion
  • Waste of Time - Pay 2 Play

Great idea. But, you’ll only get the first lesson of any session for free. The rest is behind a paywall. Horrible business model. Take notice of how a service like Duolingo keeps learning for free with ads.
  • Pretends it’s free; it’s not

    By Yaynbdn
Like other reviews, I downloaded the app because it said it was free. It’s not. You get through the first lesson and then it costs money. If you’re going to make the whole app cost a subscription, it should say more than “in-app purchases.”
  • Please make it free

    By ahhhhhHHFH
I know the creators are trying to get money, but you literally can’t learn anything cause it all cost money. I was disappointed, I wanted to learn so many stuff but I have to pay. Hope it’s free in the future
  • Hum

    By maddensdidfhdjd
I am in 11 year old boy who really likes codeing but I can’t find anything that’s free and that will teach me like I can only do one of each lesson then I have to pay and I don’t really have money you guys should make a free version that teaches you everything and I know you guys aren’t money hungry you guys just need it to grow but it would mean a lot if you guys made a thing where ppl didn’t have to pay to learn
