  • Nomorobo appears to have cut down on robo callers

So far I seem to be getting less robo/spam calls on both my cell phone and the landline. Why do I still have a land line, well I guess for now it’s just force of habit. Anyway I’ll check back after some time passes to see if it’s still effective
  • Two weeks, 52 calls.and Nomorobo caught...0

Look, I understand these phishers are hard to pin down, but really?? 52 calls and it didn’t catch a single one. And I have a premium subscription (well, *had*...just cancelled it)! I have over 100 apps, not including the apps that I tried and deleted, but out of all of them, this app is a spectacular failure. It fails so bad that it’s almost awesome in a twisted way. I downloaded this app because of the high rating, so maybe this works in other areas, but on my phone it is completely useless. Better to go back to answering with police whistle or chimpanzee screams or making especially gruesome pseudo-threats. Doesn’t prevent them from calling me, but nomorobo doesn’t either.

I noticed a sharp decrease in the number of Robo calls I was receiving. Once in a while one will come through and then it’s important to input that number so the Robo call team can review it and make sure others don’t get that as well. But it is well worth the subscription price.

I’ve been getting very few robo calls now. Recently I’ve been getting some phishing texts saying they’re from Wells Fargo, but I’m dong my part and inputting those too. This is a great idea. Deleting, blocking, or not answering is one solution, but sharing our combined numbers and information is a way to take some sort of positive action and help other people while doing so. Instead of focusing on what I don’t like I can focus on what I can do. Great idea, Great App, Great job everyone who takes the time to report the numbers and make it all work!!
  • Ineffective

Doesn’t do anything to stop or identify local area code spoofed calls. Still get 2-3 of them daily. Occasionally identifies other calls as spam or robocalls. I cancelled my subscription after the first year. Since the app really doesn’t prevent calls from ringing through, It doesn’t eliminate the annoyance factor. I simply don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t recognize. If it’s a legitimate call, they’ll leave a message.

Can’t imagine how many calls I would get without NomoRobo, but I still get too many Robo calls!! Something Hass to be done about this! It’s such an extreme invasion of privacy, utter waste of time, and surely has to be a violation of our civil rights! There are days when I seriously feel so violated! This app is great but when it catches 95% of the robotic calls that I receive it will be worthy of five stars.
  • Good app

This app works, i’m happy to pay a little each month, for the garbage this app prevents from getting to my phone, I strongly. Recommend it!

None of the Robo calls are being marked as Robo calls until I share the number with Robo call, identify it as a Robo call, then I see the red dot and the word Robo call next to the number. That doesn’t really help me much since I am doing all the work.
  • Doesn’t stop anything.

I keep getting spoof calls every day. It just seems too obvious that it’s using sequential order with one digit different each day and the algorithm still can’t catch this. Terrible product.

With everyone adding in numbers it helps a lot! We still need Congress to make it a felony to spoof caller ID.

  • Redundancy

I get hit by over ten spam calls per day. I have to block these calls on my phone, then report the number to Nomorobo. I thought Nomorobo was supposed to recognize spam callers and block them for you. So I have to block numbers twice. Too much work. Nomorobo needs to access my blocked numbers and keep the list themselves, along with the early recognition. Don’t they cross reference numbers with a database built by all of their customers?? Also, when the same spammers call back with consecutive phone numbers, can’t Nomorobo recognize the pattern and block them? I don’t see any of the spam texts being blocked. Wasn’t that supposed to have been activated with update 11.0? Why can’t we enter spam text numbers like we do for voice calls?
  • Free version gone?

I’ve used a few robocall blocking apps, I came across this one, Nomorobo call and downloaded the then free version last year. I went on to check earlier this year and noticed it was no longer a free app. I’m hesitant to pay for the app now with only 500 or so users/reviewers. I’m confused by the testimony on you app page that shows 2.5 million satisfied users? I’m not sure why the reviews would be so low at approx 500.... I’d think with 2.5 million users you would have more reviews. This deters me from the payed app now. I’ll keep looking for a higher reviewed payed app to block calls for now. If there is a legitimate explanation for the difference in numbers, I’d be more inclined to try the month to month option to see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be. All I want is an app that blocks robocalls/scam calls, without me needing to put those numbers into the app. Which defeats the purpose when paying for an app.
  • Blessed Relief

Nomorobo has significantly reduced the disturbing number of robo calls I was getting. It does not get all of them but I sure am thankful for the relief.
  • Great app for eliminating annoying calls

Works great, just need to HAVE IT OPEN in order for it to work! Blocks 95% of my annoying calls, which is great!! Occasionally one gets through now and then, but maybe 2-3 times per month which I can handle. I just have to make sure to remember to re-open the app every time I clear out or restart my phone which is not a problem by now as it’s become habitual.
  • Love it

I noticed no decrease in robocallers. I was reporting more robocallers than were being blocked. i think i was paying for a service and then providing that service free information everytime I reported a robocaller to them. in the end not worth it. i’m interested to see people who actually had robocallers blocked with this service.
  • I’ve loved this app until recently

    3
    By Tonopia
This app has been absolutely amazing until recently. The app isn’t blocking known robocallers anymore. I’ve been getting more and more of these annoying calls and then looking them up in the app to see that they’ve already been reported! And the app isn’t blocking them. I’ll change my review when I see this has been fixed.

I started using this on all my phones a few years ago, back when it actually worked... Alas that day is past. Over the last year or so it has fallen from poor to useless. I have removed it from my phones and am trying other options. I gave it one star in memory of a time, long ago, when it worked.
  • Latest update is very reliable

Prior to Nomorobo my wife and I had an insufferable number of phone calls that came in hourly from robocallers. I don’t know how this happened it made it so we were considering changing our phone numbers. After reading about Nomorobo winning the FTC challenge, we decided to give them a shot. We also use Verizon’s free Call Filter as it helps to identify callers whose names would not otherwise be displayed (this should be a default feature for all carriers). Anyway, Nomorobo has made it so I can trust my phone again. I no longer worry about answering robocalls and this latest update makes it updated seamlessly and regularly giving you the newest identified spammers.

  • Deleting app

    By AOHuskies34
Had this app for several months. It did reduce unwanted calls. But still received calls. And it was frustrating to input the number into the app and see that it is already identified as a robo caller. What’s the point of paying for this if it doesn’t work??!!! Now for some reason, I’ve been required to update the app daily. Really??!!! Moving on to another app....
  • Worked for a week

    By buttbuff
I received at least 10-20 calls a day and I was really hoping to get rid of them so I decided to pay for the calls to stop them. Unfortunately this app worked it showed me what calls were robocalls for about a week. Than it stopped showing me which calls were robocalls. Now I go to refresh the app and all I get is was OOPS there was an error. I’m not sure who I would contact. I’m not sure I will continue this app after my 2 week trial.

Lately I've been getting quite a few robocalls. It also seems to be blocking good numbers as well. Quite a few people have told me they call and are sent straight to voice mail. When I selected the option to identify robocalls but let them through, these people's calls ring my phone as they should. Something has broken somewhere.
  • Happy customer

I’m so glad I did sign up for Nomorobo, our life is so much better, now that scammers won’t be able to get through with their anointing calls. I’m also very happy that Nomorobo gets updated a few times during the day. No all you got to fix is, it’s very hard to see the yellow writing on the right and left next to “write a review”Thank you Nomorobo
  • v3 is better than ever

    By j_w_s
Robocallers are constantly changing the numbers they call from, hoping to stay ahead of all the blockers, so updating the blacklist frequently is the name of the game. I’ve tried a bunch of different call blockers and they mostly update their list 1 to 3 times a day. Nomorobo was updating once an hour, already far better than the others, but with this new version they’re updating EVERY 15 MINUTES. And it makes a difference. Fewer robocallers are sneaking through.
  • It caught nothing!

I was so excited to learn of this app as I was receiving up to 10 calls a day selling me health insurance. In the last two hours I've gotten FIVE calls. Worthless.
  • Blocks customers and lets robot calls through.

    By Weaver20000000000
Multiple times and I mean almost 15 times we have received calls labeled as robo callers and are actual customers looking for business. We have deleted the app because it does not seem to work at all. Even the regular robo calls we get on a daily basis STILL come through after blocking or adding to the database. Not impressed needs some serious work.

Doctors’ offices use robocallers to remind patients of appointments. Does this block those calls? Does it block government emergency alerts? Gallup pollsters?

I have this app on my phone, have followed the instructions to use it to screen calls and am still getting spam calls and unknown numbers. This is becoming ridiculous.

Definitely worth your time and money for purchasing this app. Saves the calls with options.
  • Not as good as it once was!

    1
    By dog gone lost!
Sadly, the original gold standard for robo call blockers has become tarnished. It no longer seems to be auto updating or refreshing in the background, and not catching calls or identifying robocallers as much as it used to. Local calls seem to get through all the time now, even if they are different area codes, prefix and exchanges. Similarly I have seen an uptick in out of state robo calls getting thru since the auto update seemed to stop.
  • If this doesn't help it's unlikely blacklists will

    4
    By zyme_
My 1st cell phone, I chose a # easy to remember: all the decent options were from near~ish town's where I knew no-one; So when any of the daily 30+ calls using unique fake [Spoofed] Caller ID #'s [cannot be blacklisted] it's obvious as the prefix usually matches mine, but I left that area code almost 20 years ago too (lol), I highly suggest that anyone plagued do this as well, & if necessary move their old # to Google Voice since that's free & has been for almost 2 decade's! -- Apps like this work well with calls from more legit creditors, but BEWARE some other apps, like those that advertise the most, which have become well known to cause huge increases in robocalls even if you never received such a call before. My 2nd best suggestion is to use a voicemail service with auto talk to text conversation so you can screeen & tell from a glance to get a decent/rough/guestimate of what they were calling about. Also some phone # to name lookup services are pretty good & are more helpful / useful than simple blocking or blacklist services.
  • Does not work reliably.

    By Another Reasonable Guy
Calls I have previously blocked on this app frequently call again and again and get through the block. Apparently, reporting a number to this app accomplishes nothing. Very disappointing. Easier to put the numbers into my iPhone’s personal block list which works every time and doesn’t cost anything
  • Nomorobo app latest update has made this app not useable!

    By GoldenEyes&Ears
Have used this app for a few months and have always made it a priority to update the software to be current. With today's software update, when click on the app, I am allowed to see the main web site for only a few seconds and then it disappears and no information within the app can be viewed or changed within this app! Really at a loss to figure out if this app is still working to filter out the unwanted robocalls. Please advise on what is the problem and how to correct for this paid version of this app! Thanks
  • Doesn’t Work At All

    1
    By Ssjordan0311
So far it has only stopped one call and it didn’t silence the ring like it was suppose to so what’s the point? All other robo calls I have had to manually enter myself after the fact and it still doesn’t stop them. Don’t waste your money.
  • Be careful!

I purchased this app or year ago and paid $19.99. The app automatically renewed a few weeks ago and I cannot access it on my phone. It says please pay again. I’ve reached out to the developer three times with pictures of my paid invoices and I have yet to hear from them. It’s the most annoying thing because Apple will not get involved because they’re a third-party and just collect the payments. Even with the app I’m still getting an enormous amount of Robo and market calls.
  • Great App and Service

I have been using the free home version (on my home phone) for several years. It just works. Finally decided to try a service for my cell phone as it was getting ridiculously annoying. I now know I should not have waited so long. What a great app and service. My phone has all it ceased spam calls. What a relief! Thank you NoMoRobo!!!
