Surprisingly helpful. Someone mentioned Daylio on Reddit and I thought I’d give it a whirl. Since it reminds me to log every evening, I do it every day (again, surprisingly). I also added some custom activities like walking the dog, or taking a nap, so I can keep track of stuff like that. Seeing my summaries of every day like that, all in a list, makes me happier because I realize most days are good, with a few rad ones sprinkled in there. How thankful I am for that. Download the app! It’s 1000000% worth it
  • Good App

It’s easy! You can perfectly describe exactly what your feeling with emojis! Then do your journaling like you want. NO PRESSURE You don’t feel like you have to make perfect sentences. One word description or a whole page! It’s your choice. They DONT offer to let you buy a book of your entries! Thank goodness! Talk about pressure! You can print it yourself if needed! Daylio is easy and fun!
  • Nice app.

Daylio is an amazing way to get your feelings out at the end of the day. You don’t have to write anything or spend a lot of extra time. It is very simple and only takes about 5 minutes.
  • Great!

Love this app. Can track my mood quickly and easily and I even get a reminder so I don’t forget.
  • daylio is A M A Z I N G

i absolutely love this app! it helps so much to just get down your thoughts and what’s going on. it also is really easy and simple to use and lets you edit your responses and has a very large and interesting option of activities... anyways i love reading my older entries because it’s just like reading a diary you write a while ago.
  • Great

    Amazing love it!
  • Amazing app

    By Bay Catki
I really like all the customization this app has!! The interface is acute and it’s really quick and easy just to add simple things to your daily log if you don’t want to write out a whole entry. I wish they would just let you add photos to entries! It’s the only thing it’s missing and why I didn’t give 5 stars.
  • Very useful!

    By jzsaffron
I’ve been wanting to keep a diary for a long time, but I could never stick to physical books. I would always forget to write, then I would get frustrated over my missing entries. Daylio lets me know when I update several days in a row, and I don’t like to break a chain once I've started it. I also love the features that come with the premium version, especially the ability to customize mood options. Makes keeping a diary so much more immersive and fun.
  • Love & recommend to everyone, just one suggestion

    By jessicajolly
I absolutely LOVE this app. It has helped me track my anxiety, depression, and migraines. It’s also nice going back and reading all of the notes & memos I left for myself. Like a mini time capsule. I finally upgraded because paying just a few dollars is worth having such a valuable app. I only wish I could change the colors of the moods. I personally would do shades of red to green. It’s difficult for me to glance at a month and gauge the average mood. I really hope this is an option soon. Being able to input my own activities & emojis has been AMAZING. Thank you thank you THANK YOU! (Just add some color options. 😬)
  • Good but please change export.

    By Sammiejayjayjay
I like this app. You can write about your mood, activity during that mood, and write about it. I like everything. The one thing I would change is that you can change what dates you want to export instead of just exporting all of them.

  • Android to iOS?

    By lostcomett
I really enjoy this app, it’s very helpful and I love how customizable it is but I just got an iPhone after using it on my android and I was wondering if a transfer between the two is in the works? For now I’m still using it in my old phone but I’d like to transfer all my history to the new one. Thanks for making this great app!
  • Simple in the best way.

    By -coaxx
User friendly, realistic, and quick if you’re like me and need to just jot down what your day in tailed. I use it to remind me of what I’ve deep cleaned and when. When I’ve shopped or paid bills. Been loving it!
  • Fantastic

Helps me stay organized and see myself as a person.
  • The pro version is great

    By RowanF
As a retired, disabled senior, I was looking for an easy way to track my pain levels and activities. I used the free version for about a week and then upgraded for greater customization. That way I could rename “work” to something useful and add more pain scale icons. It would be nice to expand the rainbow rather than having multiple items under one color, but I think it will work. I appreciate the simplicity. I mentioned the app to my spoonie group and we are all discussing how to make it work for chronic pain tracking.
  • More Useful

    By Thermian 12
The updated app does a great job at allowing multiple moods per day, and more flexibility. Good job developers.
  • Cute, simple, useful

    By Deannon
I actually kinda use this as a companion to my depression medication - it helps me see trends in moods and behaviors way easier than keeping a paper journal. And you can add notes too, I try to add little things I’m grateful for or happy about in the notes. It doesn’t try to do too much and it’s better for it.
  • Keeps your moods on track

    By Somerville1968
Happy? Sad? Meh? Keep track of your moods and write a note so you can go back and read them. Great if you’re in therapy. Your therapist can read it to.
  • Love it and still want more customization!

    By NeighborKatie
This app makes it so simple to keep track of my mental health. Love the ability to customize the moods and activities. I tend to forget things without reminders, so I also love the notification reminders to log. They have helped me stay consistent. The most useful thing I’ve gained from this app is the ability to see trends. Since I’ve started logging, I’ve been able to notice that certain activities correlate with a depressed mood. And some activities (like drinking coffee) tend to lead to anxiety for me. The one feature that I wish would be added is the ability to add more than 5 colors (moods). Even though I customize the moods within colors, I’d love to have 7 or 10 options that show up on the graphs, giving me further insight into my mental health trends. Hopeful that this feature will be added in the future! Overall, however, this is a great app and was worth the money to upgrade. No regrets!
  • A great app for mental progress.

    By SkeletorPFunk
This app has helped me tremendously in learning what affects my mental state, as well as functioning as a sort of look book for my feelings throughout the year. Highly recommend!

i honestly love this app so much. for me it’s very helpful and comforting to be able to take out my phone and write whenever i need to. this app also makes me WANT to write throughout the day which i love because it’s gotten me back into writing.
  • Great for tracking mood cycles

    By taegenmeyer
I really appreciate the added features with the premium edition, allowing me to super customize my experience with the app and cater the moods towards my daily life. I’m using it to track my mood cycles.
  • Great!

    By LovelyLemonade
It's super easy to log how your feeling and you can add what you did today by writing and/or tapping little icons. I only wish that it would allow the attachment of pictures and stuff
  • straightforward and adaptable

    By CSquirrel
exactly what it says on the tin. this is not an app for longform detailed writing (though i suppose you could?). it might be better described as a mood-/activity-tracker compared to what most people think of as a journal. and it's GREAT! it's quick and easy to add entries, and unlike many other apps i've used, it DOES allow you to edit the time and date of an entry, so if you want to log something from earlier in the day or week, you can accurately do that. i particularly appreciate the lists of moods and activities, because it is so much easier to answer multiple choice questions about my behavior and then expand on it in the "want to give some details?" box, rather than trying to come up with it all from scratch. it provides stats on how frequently you log each activity and mood, plus their associated other activities. this, combined with the ability to completely customise the activity and mood lists, is allowing me to easily track aspects of my health and then look back to see if there are any patterns. this app is completely worth the price, and a real benefit to me!
  • Love it

    By avhffbn
Absolutely awesome. I always try to journal, and it ends up in five pages a night for a month, then nothing for another three months. This is a great and fast way to get out all my feelings, which really helps my anxiety. Plus, I love being able to track how frequently I feel awesome/horrible/whatever. I do wish there was a spot to select what the strongest emotion of the day was: anger, pride, sadness, joy, etc. I can make a note of it on my own in the writing section though, so it’s not a big deal.
  • A simple app that does what it says on the tin

    By n0etic
Yeah it is super easy and does what it says, not super deep but that keeps it easy to do and stick to.
  • Good app

    Love your app so much!!🥳
  • Needs apple watch compatibility

    By Housedlunch
Needs apple watch compatibility. This app is makes sense using it with the watch
  • Please allow for more customization

    By Noah834192718
I was hesitant to download premium for this app because the mood colors do not correlate at all to how I experience moods. Since the premium description is sparse, I did some brief research and saw multiple screenshots with customized colors. I then excitedly downloaded premium, but it turns out this is only for Android devices. The in-app premium page does (vaguely) say you can customize your moods more, but this is only partly true. You can add emojis, but you cannot change the colors if you have an iPhone. I am very frustrated and irritated that this feature is not available, especially since I paid money under the impression that it was. Additionally, this app is unique solely because of the way it visualizes moods, so why would color customization be left out of that? I would think that would be the logical first thing to include. This app has been around for years now, and it is still somehow unable to include this extremely basic feature for iOS users. Please add color customization as soon as possible. Very disappointed.
  • wonderful!

    By Erin-anan
As a teenager with anxiety and having multiple panic attacks a month i found this app super helpful. It would have a small congratulations each day i filled it out. you give a vague description of your day overall (i named mine rad, mad, bad, sad, and meh) then you say your actions for the day (which they have lil emoji thingys) then if you wanted to you gave more details but you didn't have to. and when i did nothing else in my day i felt good because i did something! overall an easy app to understand fun to do and simple and not time consuming
  • best app

    By ziara gev
i can’t explain how much i love this app. other apps you have to pay for almost everything but on here all the things that are important to me are free and it really helps me see how i’m doing!!! thanks sm and keep up the good work!!
  • Fantastic!

    By emid11
This app is really great! It only takes less than a minute for me to fill everything out. The statistics are so nice to look at and to see how I’m progressing throughout the weeks, months, and year. It’s also really helpful to look back on what days were bad and to see what I was doing and to see what I wrote in the little notes box. Overall, amazing app and I highly recommend it!
  • I can’t transfer

    By Ah'Noni
It’s a cool app and very useful but I can’t transfer my data from my android to my iPhone and that makes me use it a lot less than I used to

  • It is good but...

    By Slumpie
I like this app it is a very simple and quick journal, but I wish there was a little more to add to each entry to make the day a little more... memorable?
  • I like it but

    By rfoshee
I really enjoy the app on Android but I can't restore my old entries from Google Drive because there's no option to Google drive support!?!? Why isn't there a toggle switch for this?? Why can we export entries in formats that Daylio can't use for importing?! That makes exporting kind of pointless.
  • No cross platform support

    By alherreg
I changed from android phone to an iPhone. I’ve payed for premium, but that purchase is not valid for iPhone. It’s a shame, but I’ll have to stop using this app.
  • Love it

    By Tueps
Easy way to track how your days are going and how things trend over time. It helps me identify patterns in my moods and potential triggers. One request - more colours for the moods! I have more than 5 moods haha. Thanks!
  • 😍

Love how simple and easy to use it is! Great app
  • Great setup and absolutely wonderful for free!

    By Bananagrammer
This app is really easy to use, conveniently set up and organized. It lets me to quickly jot down some thoughts, and after a little while develops some stats on my entries which is pretty cool. I’m hoping to keep using this app because it is really great and free!
  • Rad!

    By christinaxhansen
A quick fast journal entry with so little writing that needs to be done, I love it! Wanna journal in how I’m doing/have BEEN doing, don’t really wanna log in THAT much (just not feeling it, bleh!) and this is the best app for feeling like that!
  • Simple and quick.

    By 0tomato_potato0
All I have to do is click the app then enter in a few lines and buttons about my mood and I’m done. No more sentences on paper and reminders that never work. It’s so much more easier to use this app than any other. Goodbye stacks of paper! Hello Daylio!
  • I love this app.

    By Jghaggett
Daylio has quickly become one of my favorite apps. I love being able to jot down what I’m doing in real time and be able to track my moods at the same time. And it all looks great too! My only suggestion is that I would love to have some ability to organize my entries by year. One of my favorite things about journaling is being able to easily see what I was doing a year ago today, and I would love if you could arrange your entries so that last year’s show up right underneath this year’s.
  • Amazing

    By pigirl23
I have really bad anxiety and this helps and tracks everything. It makes my life so much better. Thank you!!!

    By femal bob
So I don’t have time to write a paragraph of stuff that happened every day and I don’t want to look back on little scribbles in an old journal, Daylio has made that so easy. I just edit my moods, and activities the click then, maybe add a little note about the day. Done, doesn’t even take 5 minutes. The best part...ITS FREE! 5 stars always.
  • Definitely Worth It!

About half a year ago I moved to a whole new country. My new friend started to notice I was usually negative and she always found me off in a dark corner crying. She thought, since I talked about her so much, that it was about me moving 5,000 miles away from the only person who truly understood me. (Regarding my friend now) She informed my father after it got worse and he got me a therapist. Up to this day, I still feel very uncomfortable opening up to anyone, let alone my therapist. One day, my friend was over at my house and she was on my iPad. She said maybe it would help me if I just jotted down some things that have happened each day and read through it a few days after, and that maybe it would help me see what’s been going on making me depressed. We were looking at journal/diary apps on my iPad. (Since all my journals and books are full of drawings and sketches) We found this app, read the reviews and description, and though it was pretty good. Well it’s not pretty’s amazing!! This app has definitely helped me a lot with my depression and I use it every day! It is definitely worth the two taps you use to download it!
