  • Crap product and crappier service

    Brought the home camera. After two weeks, thumbnails pics for recording went away, then the recording stopped and just showed a black screen. Service when they finally get back to you says they will try to fix it in an upcoming update???? You mean what I bought doesn’t work the way they say it does.when you ask when the update will be released they say in 1-2 weeks only to wait and find out the update was for something else???

    Are used to be able to leave my house without having to be connected to the Wi-Fi to watch the camera and now if I disconnect from my Wi-Fi on my phone it goes off-line It won’t return online until I connect to Wi-Fi.

    The app constantly freezes, takes forever to load, and it lags all the time. I wish you guys would fix this problem. The cameras are great quality and connect very easily when trying to set them up. I would recommend these cameras, just wish the app wouldn’t be such a pain.

    I’ve had an Axel camera for 2 years and now i find in the app that i am automatically forced to have the “lite” plan with only 24 hrs of video. All I want is to record to the sd card i’ve already put inside the camera and have access + notifications via internet. I do not want any subscriptions! If they force me to use their cloud or pay for extra cameras, that’s when I’ll look elsewhere for a better solution!!

    I do really like this cameras that I’ve set up to cover the front of my house and the back yard because it’s nice knowing who pulls up to your house and to go be able to even view it when you are not home

    Trabaja perfecto el sonido es bueno y tiene buenas opciones para programar la cámara como mejor convenga no da trabajo programarla siguiendo las instrucciones la recomiendo yo tengo otras cámaras de otra marca instaladas y esta es un buen complemento mas para la seguridad de donde la instales

    I’ve had this camera for about 2 yrs, but I notice I wasn’t getting any alerts for awhile so I reset the camera my alerts started working but now it’s not recording anything on my SD card. 😡

    My word of advice is to get something better. Cameras won’t stay connected to WIFI. Can’t delete and reinstall devices or rename them. Don’t know if it’s the camera or the app. Don’t waste your money. In reality, I wouldn’t even give it a part of a star.

    I have 4 of their cameras and the camera video is pretty good for only $40 but the app is terrible. The videos don’t load but half the time. I have contacted the company and they basically said oh well they will eventually update the app which may or may not fix the problem.

    The live video works fine but I can not hear the sound when watching it from my phone; which is not in silent mode. I just hear static when watching the live videos. Calling customer service to get technical support is not so great either. You really get what you pay for at the price of $45 for the wireless 720 version. Good luck with this camera if you get it because it is not that great when it comes to 2-way sound communication.

    The app works pretty well can get a live stream and records any movement or sounds. I gave the app a 3 because for some reason sometimes the live sound is terrible it will cut in and out and just very poor quality there is even a certain time of night that I don’t get any sound at all. I know it’s not my service or my internet cuz everything else works just fine. Once the bug is fixed i will adjust my rating accordingly.

    This company are thieves. After the app updated, I could no longer save my videos to my SD card. It’s strange that this company want you to pay them for a subscription and you have the option to save videos on your SD card. That’s a rip-off. Another customer said the same thing. On top of that, the camera malfunctioned and when I emailed support to return the camera under the one year warranty, I was told that I could not until I return the defective device. Well I was not going to do that until I got a replacement of THEIR damaged product. This company planned to keep both devices and I was not going for that trick. Also, I could never replay videos that was recorded because the videos were bypassed by the company and that’s why I needed to return the damaged camera. I would NEVER buy from this company ever. They are irresponsible and crooks.

    The record to SD Card is no longer working, have emailed for customer support with nothing but run around. Use to you could get notices sent to your phone and view video recordings, not anymore. This is a useless app and camera system. Time to look for other options, because this option is no longer feasible. Was told the lite version was free to upgrade to, yet I have searched everywhere and haven’t seen it. Just fix it to record to SD Card as it once did and send the notices to my phone. You know, sort of like it once worked🙄

    No longer stores activity with the SD card option (yes I know to look under camera settings since y’all turned off access from main activity screen). Also have to reset alert every 24 hours to even get notifications at least. Still no recordings. Unfortunately if this doesn’t get resolved I’ll be switching over to the MyQ garage opener since I have other cameras now set up.

    Useless and the most unreliable application I ever used. As far as using this for what you call a security camera, I’d have better luck watching my possessions with a blindfold on. I would never trust this app for security of any kind. I paid $40 for this piece of junk you call a camera and I’m going to have the enjoyment of taking a 4 pound sledge hammer to it. So if I’m going to lose $40 I will at least get my satisfaction smashing it into 400 little pieces. Don’t see how you get away with selling this product to anyone. The camera and app are a big joke and I’m not laughing! The application is the heart of the camera. If that don’t work nothing else will work. When you see all negative complaints what’s that tell you? The lagging is horrible. My other cameras work flawlessly on my network without a glitch. Wow you have a lot of work to do. I’m sorry I ever bought this product. Get it right or don’t do it at all.

    I have been trying to use this app and cameras for over two weeks. It is so unreliable. I have checked all network/wi-fi connectivity and yet I still can’t live stream anytime that I should be able to. I can see the recordings and I get the motion notifications as needed, but most times when trying to live stream it can never connect. It would be great if you could restart the app - and yes, I’ve restarted the cameras remotely multiple times hoping that it would reset the feed but that doesn’t do it. I’ve opened a trouble ticket but have yet to hear back from Momentum. The system was not expensive to me so I can’t complain all that much, but I’ve had to go elsewhere to cover my needs. Too bad, because in theory when it works it is a great inexpensive option but I need more stability in the live feed.

    Everything was working great and I recommend the device to my friends. I now don’t see anything on the activity screen like I used to. Formatted the SD card. Still didn’t work! Went through the setup, still not working. I just found out they updated the app without notification. Now I don’t see anything on the activity screen even though I get notifications of activity. After hunting through the app I finally found where they hid the SD card info and stored video. This WAS a very user friendly app and worked well. Now it’s difficult to use. Seems like they just want you to use their online storage. Not what the box said. They need to restore the activity screen so I don’t waste time. I’m a retired electronic tech and pretty savvy when it comes to computers. My wife isn’t so she thinks the device is now a waste of money and wants to go with another brand.

    It’s been my favorite so far! The motion alert works perfect goes straight to my phone and the sound is crisp (both ways). I’m sticking with them and hope they continue to make even better devices! Thank you guys!!!!

    I’ve been playing with this camera/app for about two days now and so far so good. My boyfriend is a surveillance nerd and has had quite a few different surveillance cameras over the last couple of years but I definitely impressed him with this one and he even expressed that this might have topped the ones he’s had.

    I bought it several months ago. Got the camera that would also open your garage. It worked pretty well and I was OK with it, although it was kind of expensive I think it was upwards of $70. After reading the information it was some wording I was concerned about that said basically after your 30 day trial you’d have to pay a monthly phoebe to store videos and play them back from their service. I was aware that this camera had a micro SD card slot and is soon as there I could still save video that way. Nevertheless I called the company within a couple of weeks after buying the camera, And I was a shored that I would still be able to record video to my microSD card after my trial. Had ended, I would just not be able to see videos to their cloud. My trial . ended and I found their word to the troop I continued using the camera for several more months. Suddenly, tonight I discover that the camera will not record any videos anymore, not even to my micro SD card, unless I pay a subscription. I don’t know how that happened. Did my phone update the app without my consent, or is the app still operating directly through their website? Anyway, I didn’t agree to any of that, and although it has now been several months since I purchased it, what is the purpose of having a microSD card in the camera in the first place, unless it is for the owner to be able to record to it. So how do they justify charging a fee? Especially after tell me there was not one!

    Really? First place the whole purpose of security camera is to record incidents. So how does it make sense to you to start recording when motion is detected after 3+ seconds and stop when it reaches 20 seconds without capturing the important part? Someone could shoot, robe (grab and ran), and even can cover the camera before it start recording. This is what you need to do. Let the camera record 24/7 and when motion is detected, save 5 seconds before the motion detection and after the motion comes to end.

    The app works great for Android, but on iPhone I can’t use the back button to go back and look at another camera in the house. I have to close the app and reopen it to look at other camera in house.

    I bought several different surveillance cameras & styles to test and this is by far the worst! Sure the daytime camera is excellent when it doesn't freeze or stops recording events or locks you out of your account then makes you create a new account only to give an error message.

    I always can only get one of 3 cameras to load quick the others just won’t load until closing and reloading app numerous times which at that point im already in that room and kills the purpose of the camera.

    Very simple to set up. Easy to add multiple cameras to the system. Great video def. great sound. Night vision is awesome! This is a must have system! Five stars for sure. Very easy to figure out.
