Just paid to upgrade, NO payment making options. No transaction history. Terrible.
  • Not what I was expecting

I was looking for an app that would take all of my debt and tell me how much to pay on each debt while focusing on one card to pay off at a time. Then once that card is paid moves on to the next adding the payment from 1st card to what is paid on next one...doesn’t do that. It divides each debt equally to see how much to pay to pay off all at once...not at all helpful
  • Exactly what I was looking for

I haven’t found a more useful tool for keeping track of my loan payoff, maintaining momentum, and playing with payoff scenarios. It’s fairly basic and easy to understand as well.

I loved this app initially - the design was clear and simple and the debts were easy to add - I was impressed enough to buy the pro version. However in the year I used it several bugs were evident and never improved. First, you have to back or forward date entries - for some reason if you enter, say, a due date of 9/28 it will read as 9/27, so you have to forward date in order to maintain accuracy (I could have that backwards, but in either case you have to finagle dates). Also, the debts always register the starting balance as the size of the debt when considering the snowball - so when I began it kept trying to calculate my snowball according to the smallest original balance even though I was starting with a debt that, at present, was significantly smaller than my others due to higher payments, lower interest, yadda yadda...but was originally larger than some of my smaller credit card balances. I really wanted to like this app for some reason and worked with those annoying hiccups (hoping the developers would catch and correct, but never did) but finally threw in the towel once I paid off my first debt and there didn’t seem to be any way to either a) mark the debt as paid or b) apply the payment to the next debt. For 2 weeks now my paid debt has been sitting with a $0 balance and “projected payoff” date that updates to the current date each day. If there’s a way to correct this, it isn’t easily discoverable with an hour of poking and prodding. Throwing in the towel and recommending you go elsewhere before poking around with this one for a year like I did.

Would like to have to ability to indicate that payment was made rather than just a schedule of payments.

The free app didn’t do what I thought it would and then paid $2.99 for what it promised. Still not helpful.
  • Great app and easy to use

The app crashes every time I try to add items in. Then I open it and all the info I just put in is gone. Very annoying.

I needed this so bad! Now that I see everything I owe and the break down per month, it feels so much more manageable.
  • Another free app with hidden purchases

You can only list 2 debts at a time or pay 2.99 to unlock all features. No thanks!
  • Need to be clearer about price

I don’t like that you have to upgrade for more than 2 debts.
  • You’re paying for Excel, but it’s easy

I am in a bad position with my debt and attempted to make this app in a spreadsheet but i am more likely to check an app than a spreadsheet. I wish there were buttons to quickly add payments, but that is not an option. Seeing my payoff progress and having help make a plan to not be in debt, drowning in interest, that this app helped me make was worth $3. If only I only had 2 sources of debt so I didn’t have to pay, but I wouldn’t need this app if it were they simple! Now, making someone who is clearly in debt and needing help getting out of it makes it awfully cruel when you think about asking them to pay for the help, but the app has no ads so I understand. For me, it was worth it. I can see why it wouldn’t be for most.
  • Disappointing

Don't pay the 2.99. I did thinking it would open up some additional features but it doesn't! It's a trick- you can only add 2 debts then it says to upgrade and I wrongly assumed it would get you more features. It's really just the same as you see - not even worth the 2.99!
  • Very easy to use

This app has helped me take control of my finances and stay motived while doing so. When you see the numbers go down every week, every month... the feeling is indescribable. If you are trying to get out of debt, this app will help you succeed. You need this. Thank you Debt Free Box team.

Until I could only add 2 debts. I couldn’t even get a strategy without paying the $2.99 to upgrade to pro2. My issue is how about you take the free app away and just have people see the Pro2. Waste of time
