  • Relies on false ads for downloads for iOS

    By BigDaves
If you’re considering playing GoG after seeing an in-game ad, DON’T BOTHER. GoG has been using in-game footage from other games for its ads to entice would-be players to download this weak RTS game. GoG doesn’t include any first person or third person levels, nor are there any zombies in the game. I can’t help but wonder how Apple continues to let this slide? GoG already includes a pretty solid P2W model that requires you to pony up real cash to proceed to any meaningful level. While it’s free to play, you’ll burn up the meager resources initially offered to you very quickly, leaving you stuck unless you agree agree to pay (real) cash for upgrades. I didn’t find the game that much fun to play to begin with. The graphics are bland, some even pixelated because the devs chose to skimp on the graphics. Choose carefully before investing a dime in this dull RTS game.
  • False advertising

    By Rambrizzy
Ad I saw for this on 8ball was a 1st person shooter. This obviously isnt
  • Don’t play this!

    By :($&,.)$;&&;;,?))
I leveled up quickly. Started paying for upgrades and equipment to become stronger. Still, can’t be on all the time. Even as part of a large alliance there is no protection. Attacked and wiped out by the same guy every week. No point in rebuilding. The fun is gone. There is no chance for smaller players.
  • Not as advertised

    By cruschad
Typical build up kingdoms. A money scheme where you have to purchase stuff to progress and become competitive or you become a farm. Kingdoms of Camelot rip off. Game advertised itself as being a strategic shooter or fps. It's just like the final fantasy game that came out. If you like these kinds of games, by all means, continue playing. It's getting deleted now.
  • Guns of Glory

    By Tyrell19@1
This game is completely pay to win, no strategy involved. Customer service is absolute terrible with actually responses taking weeks to respond. In my honest opinion I would strongly discourage any, and all from playing this game.
  • False advertising

    By Princessalicious
The ads that they run is not the way the game is played. They may have legit ads but I’ve never seen one
  • Misleading advertising

    By MonkeyKing555
Think you were downloading some kind of Call of Duty type FPS game? No you aren’t. The ad is a lie. This is a dull farming game. How they are allowed by the App Store to bait and switch is beyond me. Apple and the developers are tossers for allowing/doing this.
  • Disappointing

    By Jrhdjdhdd
False advertising and it is honestly nothing special and again nothing like the ads I have seen.
  • What

    By qwertyytrewqadsasddsa
The ads are fake and the actual gameplay is unbalanced and slow
  • Don’t Bother

    By Bored with MMPG
You have to spend too much money to be competitive and you are only fodder for the high level players. It’s not worth the expense or frustration. Best left to invalids with big credit cards.
  • Ads nothing like the game

    By jmoney dc
The reason I downloaded this game was because the ads showed my 3rd person gameplay while attacking enemies. This is just a fake game
  • Fraudulent Advertising.

    By Tackdr1ver
This game is a ripoff of several similar games like clash of kings. . Yet, they use fraudulent advertisements which depict first person shooter games, which are nowhere in the actual game to lure unsuspecting people in. Shameful and disgusting tactics. This is the seedy underbelly of the app world. Run far far away from this game and this developer. Do not waste your time or money on this garbage. BE WARNED!
  • Money, money, money

    By buzztuzz
And throw in crap support and lazy developmental inconsistencies. Great concept but pay to play. Not hundreds but 10’s of thousands just to be marginally competitive.
  • Um....

    By Nicknocl477032
I saw the game in an Instagram ad. Looked fun and easy. Just something to kill time. When I started the app...not the game I saw in the commercial. Not even close. Deleted immediately. That tells me this is probably a sorry company to deal with.
  • Customer support or lack thereof

    By Skydragon1946
Had a problem, actually a couple of problems. After filling out the information and getting a required screenshot I was told I had to review something beforehand. Bull___! This game takes in a LOT of money, but some of its practices make it a real decision on whether to play where player representation is nil. Big headache!!
  • False advertising

    By Whtbdix akk
The most massive amount of false advertising i have ever seen, how they have not been sued is beyond me. Im tired of crap games like these, they have no place in the app store. Pay to win is stupid, and games like these never last long nor keep a a solid player base
  • Fake

    By TJ Dukes
Your video isn’t the game. Idiots
  • No leveling of play

    By Lt. Touchdown
There is nothing to prevent a player that has played for years and achieved a very high level from wiping out a new player again and again. I think that is poor and lazy game design.
  • False advertising

    By SlumpTx
Thought it was a FPS Because of the ad for the game but it’s a “build your empire” game
  • False advertising

    By kinglougjlaw
Guess what folks, I was just informed by GoG service that nothing in the video you just watched, designed to tempt you to down load their app, are actually available in the game. In other words, nothing you see in their add actually represents any part of this game. FYI. Guess what folks. They just changed their add video. Still false advertising. Don’t get it.
  • Money pit

    By Dogger244
Don't waste your time. Real Money money money or get NOWHERE. Another game where it takes days and days to build anything and advance, UNLESS YOU SPEND MONEY.. RIDICULOUS.
  • False advertising

    By Joeblue777
If you could make the game like you advertise it it would be so cool to play. Instead, you down load it and it’s completely different, you don’t shoot guns and cannons.
  • Nothing like advertising

    By Jkhackl
This game was nothing like it was presented what a waste of time
  • Updates

    By mia1946
It’s taking far too long to update anything in your game, days, it’s not right. Having to pay for certain objects is not fair. Cut the amount of time for the updates
  • Frustrating and costly

    By grazzer1
I have played this game for nearly a year now, and even after spending a substantial sum on this game to try and keep up with other players, I am still regularly zeroed by people who literally spend thousands of dollars on their castle. It can take days, even weeks to heal my troops and in the process use a lot of resources, which of course slows my growth of my castle even further. Each kingdom has a king which can change regularly, and unless your lucky enough to be in a kingdom with very strong players, rules will be made and broken with no repercussions. There are moderators in each kingdom but they are unable to police, just advice only as they are players just like us. All in all, I still play the game because of the amount of money I have invested in it, but no longer will spend money on something that will never be addressed, and that is very unfair gameplay.
  • STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

    By ripoffgameee
Money sink, greedy Chinese developers, horrible customer service!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!!! Google KoA, same slimy company
  • Very Enjoyable

    By Gunny Tex
I really enjoy this game. Yes, if you don’t buy things you don’t get higher levels. But that’s what makes this game challenging. The tech support has never been rude or bad for me at all. I actually have found them to be much more user friendly than other games I have played. I give 4.5 overall. I recommend it to all. Great game
  • Horrible game

    By tkmommie
Customer service is non existent. Yes it’s pay to win but they devalue their own game so fast even your whale spenders are getting annoyed. Pay 15k for the something this month for it to be be free for everyone in 3 months.
  • Just having fun

    By Gamer Emperor
If you join the right alliance, the game can be fun without spending a dime. Others can help you level up without spending any money. If you chose to spend money...well that is on you, many do. Be patient and the game gives you lots of opportunities to get upgrades. Learn strategies and work with your alliance to minimize impact of being attacked. The alliance you pick will have a lot of influence on how much fun you have and how quickly you level up. My castle isn’t the biggest but with my alliance we have the emperor on our side... Fun game...give it a try...

    By Stoggiemagic
I have over 1000.00 us dollars in this game since starting in June. Im still weak as I can never catch up to the players who can spend 1000.00 a week. I am about to quit. You myst soend money to have any chance at winning battles.
  • Prepare to spend a lot of $$$

By Pay to play and pay a LOT
Worst customer service. Not a single time they helped any of my fellow players who reached out to them. Very pay to play gameplay. Everything costs $$$. They are constantly coming out with new stuff to buy, which is a replacement of the stuff you finally collected/bought. The only way to be a “strong castle” is to spend a LOT of $$$, and there will still be someone out there even crazier with more $$$. Dont even bother unless you are ready to spend literally thousands of dollars on a phone app game.
  • Money grab not even a real strategy game

    By Suisalb
Google Phenyx GoG to learn more
  • Expensive game to play

    By GOG addicts
This game is getting too expensive to just maintain your troops from being zeroed by players that are more addicted than I am. For those that can’t afford to buy packages to improve their stats, they have to shield during kill events and that is no fun. Another bad thing about this game is that it slowed down to a freezing point during kingdom vs kingdom, kill event and red guard raids. Another bad thing besides it’s getting too expensive, the game has problem loading even with good internet connection, it said network error or data error.
  • Should have headed the reviews

    By jaybird#50
I’ve seen this game advertised on other games. I looked up the reviews, and saw that they were overwhelmingly negative, most of them saying you needed to spend a lot of money to keep playing. But I tried to download anyway just to play a few levels, and then delete when it asked me for money... I downloaded the game and attempted to play, but the game never “initialized.” I installed twice, and I attempted to open several times, but no joy. I never got a chance to try the game and just deleted it. Wouldn’t it be easier to make an addictive game that sells adds than to just try to scam people?? Just say’in.
  • Amazing game

    By Lone 315
This is is really good concepts are great but it’s pay to win the cost of store items are really overpriced splender costs 100$ really insane also the badges you need to get to lvl 31 are 9.99$ for only 35 you need 1000 to level up like excuse me? Really enjoy playing the game I spend on it just sickening when I see all the cash I wasted for it wish pay to win games were very inexspensive max money spend should be no more then five bucks a day that’s totally fair also make packages cost less then dollar people wouldn’t mind spending couple bucks a day if the deal was good enough and didn’t cost to much 15 cents for a deal from shop would be awesome I’d buy it always and never complain
  • Deceptive advertising

    By Boggy Socks
I mean, the game is alright, but there’s n FPS component to it whatsoever, something that drew me to it in the first place. Hellishly dependent on pay to play once you get past level six.
  • Bullies are ok as long as they spend money

    By lizPlus3
If you are bullied by someone who spends more money than you do customer support will tell you it is a war game, sorry about your bad luck. They do not care if 80 players who do not spend quit if they keep 1 player who does. You will be bullied and you will have to just get over it. Do NOT let your children play this game.
  • Fake ads, Copy of other games and money grab

    By RetiredChief08
First, the ads for this game are nothing like the real game. You can’t play in first person nor third person, manning a gun on a castle wall shooting attackers. You also can’t arrange your troops strategically for battle. It’s nothing like that. Second, this game is exactly like Game of War: Fire Age. So, if you’ve played that game, then this is the exact same game. After the first day, upgrades take a very long time. Eventually you will grind to halt, lacking the resources to be able to upgrade any further and you will be forced to make in game purchases to progress any further. Once your shield expires, pretty much the only way to get another one is to pay real money for it. And when your shield is gone, you’re open to be attacked. Unlike other games, you don’t get another shield when you get attacked. This means you can get attacked over and over, even by the same player, until you have zero resources left. You’ll go to bed, only to log onto the game the following day and realize you have nothing left. You’ll spend the day trying to regain what you lost, only for it to happen again the next night. I just can’t recommend this game.
  • Just lost 32 levels - deleted it

    By Tjriley8
Deleted it. Went from level 32 to Zero.
  • Bad customer service, cheating and hacking

    By Cat II
Where to begin. Customer service is abysmal. If you have a problem expect to wait at least 1 week for an answer. Updates can remove any progress that you have made or spent money on. Mods can’t help you and people use the power of their wallets and not their brains. A lot of people are leaving the game for this reason. Developers and customer service ignore hacking and you get hammered by people who want to ‘sell’ you resources. Lastly, players on Asia get game packs a lot cheaper than other areas so they have a built in advantage. Update: I have to constantly reboot my iPad and IPhone due to reconnection errors, game crashes, and timeouts. Try at least 10 times in one hour. Tech support is less than helpful and snarky to boot. They make useless suggestions that have been done multiple times already. Tech support does not actually help so much as make useless suggestions and the act like it isn’t their problem. People are leaving in droves because of this. Tech support is the reason that GOG doesn’t make more money. Update 2: again tech support digs deeper hole. Incompetent and rude. You have to deal with what ever bugs occur and don’t expect support. F across the board. Tech support inefficient, unwilling to help, and likes to blame. People are quitting right and left because of bugs and other game issues.
  • Be honest with people

    By lostinterestafter5minutes
I got sucked in to playing this game after watching a really awesome FPS trailer. That was totally NOT the case with this game. If you want to be truthful to people just say “hey come play our knock-off version of Kings of Avalon.”
  • All of their ads contain content from other games

    By mikezphoto
This is your typical birds eye view garbage “build and wait” game that tries to milk you for $$$ and none of their ads on Facebook or elsewhere contain actual gameplay. Total junk.
  • Whst is the real game (first person war shooter) being used to advertise this game?

    By Docwells2000
The game being used as the ad bait looks phenomenal. Anyone know what it is!

    By RCCravens
Stop showing ads of troops actually battling and firing guns when you never see any of the actual action!!! This is illegal and is being reported by our PR department.
  • Money

    By hacked 45
This game changes weekly to get more money from players . LOTS OF LUCK!!
  • Not the game featured in advertisement

    By Chromealwayscrashesblech
How do people even get away with this?
  • Get ready to spend!

    By sack_ed
Reducing to one star - Update: after playing for a year, there is no strategy left in this game. Just mindless spending to win and an ok chat room. Multitudes of players are quitting, including big spenders. The devs don’t care about players, or creating fun events which apply to everyone at different levels. all events are just mega rally if you have a whale in your kingdom who doesn’t care about money. I spent over $35k and am too small to really do anything in the fight side of the game, average cost per hour of game play is $30. I will find a better game and use my play money there. My Old review about 3 months after starting: This game is pretty fun, but is really fun only if you spend real money. Best estimate is you are not wasting too much is C30-$15k in around 3 months, and make sure you don’t get in fights you can’t win. Gets a bit cheaper as updates come out. May be worth researching and talking with players before spending to make sure your kingdom is a good one, with logical rules and not too many bandits. If you don’t spend you can have fun but will mostly just farming.
  • Terrible Game Now

    By Bigshow18
I've played GOG for over a year now. It used to be great. Now its all about the money and incredibly poor support. Their servers are the worst I've ever seen. You keep getting knocked offline....several times a day. Not sure what GOG is thinking but they're running this game into the ground. I'm only staying because I have a lot of friends in the game but they as frustrated as i am. I'm in kingdom 194. They keep adding kingdoms to bring in new money. Trust me don't download this game until they change it.
  • Play 2 Win

    By Donknow
Unlike Fortnite that makes it money creating unique desirable items that people want to purchase, Guns of Glory makes purchases not only necessary, it destroys the game. I had been playing for about three weeks. I was having a good time, win some lose some. Then comes an event where players can swoop in and attack with such powers that I was literally wiped out, almost completely. My alliance was as well. The thing is there super powerful players had abilities that you could only purchase at our level. So as much fun as I was having, I am wishing I had my time back
