  • No tags view

    By Nornwen
There is no way to view all your tags and the hierachy you created for them... this seems like a massive oversight and is preventing me from using this over OneNote, which at least has more hierachy options then evernote seems to be willing to provide. If they aren't going to include a tags view, they should at least include more hierachy for their notebooks. (Which has been a top requested feature for years.)
  • An extension to my brain

    By The Monk Dude
Searchable, tagable, limitless, nearly perfect. If only it could cook.
  • Works great!

    By HotDonna
It always works so well syncing from my phone to my laptop! I have hundreds of work notes as well as recipes, etc that are always so easy to access with this app.
  • It is getting bloated

    By pmgreene01
I use Evernote a lot. The interface is getting too cluttered. We need a return to simplicity
  • Uploads Duplicate Notes

    By voice__of__reason
Evernote still uploads some notes in duplicate. Duplicate files are very common and use up the users data limit. Since it uploaded two of the same file again I deleted one. I checked in the notebook and one still remained. I then emptied trash. The double was deleted as well as the original file in the notebook. Great job Evernote. Your motto used to be that you remember everything for us. Clearly Evernote has dementia. The free service offers a mere 60MB per month. Switch to an alternative service while you still can. Also, convert webpages that you want to save to Evernote as PDFs using iOS print. This way when you inevitably jump ship you won’t have conversion issues. If you’re planning on syncing notes with a PC be ready to get to know the spinning wait symbol. The PC version is very slow. Maybe a new name is in order. Maybe,,, Everwait? 6/14/19 v8.2.1
  • One change needed

    By evie9
I love this app. It has changed my life. But my fifth star (in my rating) is on hold until I get this fix: when saving an article to Evernote from my phone or iPad, it appears in my list of notes with images that are not part of the article, but rather that are part of the teasers intended to draw you into other articles. This is awfully annoying! These images appear much larger than the actual article headline, so at first glance, the note may seem unrelated to anything I’m interested in. It’s just confusing and a waste of time. If an image has to be captured, why not one that accompanies the text I’m saving??
  • New version coming?

    By Searching for art
It is very slow to load all the files. Sometimes I lost my writing as I suspect the pointer is in trouble. Thanks.
  • Ipad app slow and buggy and Evernote refuses to fix the problems

    By Adam David Long
Pretty much every time I try to use Evernote on Ipad it takes FOREVER. I try to create a new note and all I see is that stupid spinning gear as the system just gets stuck in a loop trying to sync with the server (I guess). People have been complaining to Evernote for years about this crappy performance and they just don’t care. Nice to see new competitors like Notion showing up.
  • Amazing Productivity Tool

    By ALM0725
I have been using Evernote for years and I, highly, recommended it to anyone who is looking for an organization and productivity mobile platform. I use for my business and my personal life it keeps me organized and on task wherever I am.
  • Great App for Studying

    By viewsfromtheeast
This is a great app for studying and taking notes 😍👍😁
  • So organized and happy!!:))

    By ChloePie Ari.
I love all the templates and how easy it is to be organized compared to googles docs which I use for writing papers but I can never find a good way to type notes and Evernote is the way to go!!!! I so easy❤️👏🏼
  • Still no vid pic audio export

    By AnemicMe
I can’t believe after all these years en still doesn’t allow users to simply export a saved photo video or audio file to the phone .. Dropbox does this easily..my guess is every other cloud app does this easily. from my perspective, files saved in en are useless if not easily accessible from iDevices. this may sound like an exaggeration but it feels like my notes are locked in a prison. time to el chapo this b*tch
  • Avoid this app like the plague

    By bushfan225
I wish I could give this app a lower review than one star. I’ve wasted way too much time on trying to update my credentials. I’m stuck in a permanent cycle of trying to update my password, all while being told my current password is invalid. If anyone has a solution, please help
  • Buggy

    By kelv2580
App is very buggy, not good
  • Excellent App

    By 1dopebloke
My life is on Evernote. Everything I do is recorded somehow on this app. Evernote is LIFE!!! Thank God they fixed the Apple Watch app too so now I can live while away from my phone. All jokes aside, without this app, is be lost.
  • Thanks

    By Sanlu235
    Love it
  • IOS app lags, a brilliant tool overall though

    By Tarun Vaish
I love Evernote as a tool, but the iOS app is disappointing. It crashes, search functionality is terrible, the app keeps blinking when it is being used. Notebooks and shortcut functionalities are also not the best in the app. The CEO is doing a good job by showing snippets on YouTube, but until the phone app improves, such PR will not help. I have introduced 10+ people to Evernote- that's how good a tool I find it to be, but please fix the iOS app. If that happens, I'll come back and update my rating and write a detailed review.
  • Burned Twice. Never Going Back.

    By Ryan J Dixon
7 years ago, my wife lost a lot of information about our wedding plans to Evernote syncing issues. We stopped using Evernote. A few months ago I decided to give Evernote a shot again. I’m on a monthly subscription. This morning I was working on a note in Evernote for 3 hours, connected to and using WiFi the whole time. All of the sudden, my note synced with an older version of itself from another device. There was no trace of my progress this morning in my note history. I chatted (very slowly) with support, and they wanted to escalate me to email support with the engineering team. They may have been helpful, but I opted not to escalate. I’ll just stop using Evernote. Can’t wait for somebody to leapfrog Evernote in the note catching business.

    By skyron71
This is an excellent app overall but ever since one of the upgrades a couple of years ago it has some frustrating features. The main ones are that it’s no longer possible to search in a note directly from the search function. Instead you have to click the menu and then click “search in note,” two extra steps that were unnecessary before. More consequentially, when you do search in a note and find what you’re looking for, if you leave the app, even briefly, when you come back it resets to the top of the note and you lose your search and have to do it all over again if you were not done. This is really user unfriendly. I would have given the app 4, and without these issues maybe 5 stars, but I’m giving it a 1 star rating in hopes that they be more likely to pay attention!
  • Leaving Evernote after reading you sell our location

    By From.Zero
I was reading an article today that said you were or are working with a company called TeleSign out in L.A.. This company sells people’s location, and you were one of the companies mentioned to be working with them! I’ve been an Evernote user since 2014, but will be gladly moving my work to Bear. My location is not up for sale and you will NOT be doing that. Anyone reading this, please look up Bear for your notes. You guys are a disgrace.
  • App used to amazing, now its slow and buggy

    By Wikoogle
Six months ago, this was the best notekeeping app at the app store. I use it daily. It used to be fast and never crashed. The past few months, the app takes 5+ seconds just to even show my note. Then if I tap it to add some text to the note it takes another 5+ seconds to show the blue cursor to allow me to add text. If I accidently double tap, it instead takes me to the end of my note instead of where I pressed. Plus the app constantly crashes these days. It never used to crash before. Wish there was some way I could revert to the old version of the app I had a few months ago.
  • Helpful

    By JeanJB987
This app is so helpful, love using it for record keeping and notes and journaling. Super glad I found it!!
  • Life Changer

    By ElytraDust
When you use it for everything it makes everything so easy. I never have to worry about what device I am on. I even use it as a dream journal.
  • Downward slide

    By Finca BL
The app was my constant companion. Even spent the funds to get priority space. But the recent edition freezes and crashes, especially when doing a search for a saved item. There are 2 things that bring Evernote to the bottom. •One is the inability to do any useful annotation on a document. •The other is the lack of good support. Not only has the crash issue not been resolved, but when reported they respond as though I am the one who made the program errors and am in fault!?

  • Freezes & crashes every time!

    By Seafoamblue
For the past year this app froze up every time I tried to add a note but after a few minutes I could usually get it to work. Now for the past week or so it crashes as soon as I open it!!! I can’t access any of my notes. I’m done with this app! Once I get my info off of it, I won’t be using it again.
  • Great service but the mobile apps need work

    By American Phaser
One of the most well featured note taking services. Mobile apps are not at feature parity with desktop apps (eg. Try to edit or work with a table on the mobile app.) and can be fairly buggy and clunky (eg. An open note can take some time reloading when you switch back to the app, and this slows everything down.).
  • Conflicted ...

    By mike.erickson
I love the new features in v4.0, many welcomed additions. However the way I use Evernote on iPhone is to capture information and the previous versions this was painless (liked the four big capture buttons) As far as note composition, I can’t believe after all this time, Evernote STILL does not support markdown. I have all but given up on them adding it and am migrating to something more modern — Bear If you want/need markdown support, this is not the tool for you, definitely do yourself a favor and have a look at Bear App (available for iOS and macOS)

  • Fantastic App!!!

    By Game On 2012
This has increased my productivity so much! I used to carry around a notebook that I had to constantly update between my computer and my phone. Now, this syncs all my devices with one location and is very versatile. I can’t express enough how valuable it is.
  • Syncing issue

    By MizzRosee
I can’t access the app. It keep saying I have no internet connections. I’ve been using this app for at least 8 years so the amount of stuffs I have save is unbelievable. I feel like they are trying to force me to update
  • Worst app on my phone

    By fasdfasdfas
This is ridiculous—I have so many notes on Evernote and have relied on it for years. Meanwhile, their flagship iOS app is awful and completely unusable. It crashes constantly and freezes while scrolling. I can’t even open one of my notes in the app, much less edit it. Stay clear of this horrible ecosystem and company. I will be offloading my notes to a more reliable platform.
  • 3,000 notes and counting!

    By DLS001
Since my Palm Pilot went bust, have been using Evernote for years and open it about 3-4 times per hour, for at least 10-15 hours per day for work or personal. Realize now that I want all my recipes here too. Can't live without it.
  • An app I didn’t know I needed

    By DrTruffleBee
I downloaded it after I saw Adam Savage @donttrythis on Twitter talking about it and was blown away by its unlimited usefulness

  • Evernote is my most used app

    By StuRedmond
I’ve been a extremely heavy user of Evernote for many years. I’ve experimented with nearly all other note taking apps but always quickly return to Evernote. It’s robust and handles everything I need so that I am sticking with it. Evernote’s customer base is gigantic, so don’t fall for the hype that everyone is jumping ship and headed to the latest unproven app that offers lots of needless fluff features. An important feature those newcomer apps don’t offer is an equally powerful option to Evernote Web Clipper, which is something I cannot live without. Same goes with Evernote’s free helper app, Scannable.
  • Great cloud service, buggy app

    By Erik Pavia
I’ve been using Evernote forever. As a service, it’s awesome. It’s perfect on the Mac and iPad. The iPhone app crashes constantly. Tere’s a 75% chance the app will crash when I need to create a new note.
  • My favorite app

    By MarkBurkett
I use this app daily. I keep notes, maps, images stored here, which syncs to all my other devices. If you label them properly, you can find those notes quickly. It is a must-have app.
  • Crashes all the time

    By Wholeymama
I want to use this app so badly but it crashes on iPad and iPhone every time I go to use it. What’s worse, is when I try and contact the developer through their website, the link for “contact us” and “support” leads to their accounts and billing page and there is no way to troubleshoot what is going on. I’m very disappointed with the care here and glad I hadn’t signed up for anything paid. Ps there is no app support unless you have a paid subscription.
  • extreme frustration.

    By dissatisfied in dc
I've been using evernote for years. Its been great. Recently lost a phone and had to go to an iphone 7. installed Evernote. It won't even open. Every time I open, I get the following error message "Error: Problem connecting to Evernote. Please check your internet connection." I get this message IMMEDIATELY on opening the app, BEFORE entering log-in credentials -- I don't even get that opportunity. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Same problem. So here's the really frustrating thing; I went to the web site to submit a bug-report. I navigated through the menus and got to the "Please submit a ticket" message. Great, right? I'll submit a ticket and they'll resolve this. Well I could find NO PLACE TO ACTUALLY SUBMIT THE TICKET. There was no button for it, there was no textbox to accept my input. There was lots of info about what to include, but nowhere to enter it. SO FRUSTRATING. :(
  • Reliable

    By Studiohayes
I have used it since their beginning. I try every app to stay organized. Most come and go. After many years it's nice to go back to day one and see all my notes. Please stay around Evernote.
  • Often gets killed by iOS

    By Awooooooood
When I edit a note and jump to Safari to find some data, Evernote often gets killed and reloads. Then I have to open the note again, and find out the exact editing place last time all by myself. It’s really annoying when I am doing with a long note (and often I forget the editing place). The problem seldom happens for other writing apps like Bear, iOS Notes, or even bigger ones like Word.
  • Broken app for iPad

    By PahtThai
I have a 10.5 iPad Pro and this app doesn’t load. It frequently freezes and crashes.
  • Terrible iOS experience

    By abiggs78
The iOS app constantly freezes on open. This should be a priority to fix.
  • The handwriting OCR has no rival

    By skerfy
Evernote just works REALLY well. The handwriting OCR is nothing short of magic. They really need a Linux version though.

  • Touch sensitivity

    By lainey0909
Please disable hand contact when using the handwriting note feature. Every time I write with my Apple Pencil, stray marks are made because my hand touches the skin. It’s very annoying.
  • Type so small!

    By jingai
It’s a mobile phone! Make the type easier to read, or at least have a setting to increase the size by some multiplayer on my phone. Usability 101 fail.
