It’s easy to use and understand had other apps before but this one is the best!
  • Needs to show monthly cost.

App doesn’t show what the monthly cost is after the free trial (I n iphoneX). Makes me suspicious of the app when my wife and I had to google search what the premium cost a month would be. Overall app is good and stable. Design is ok. UX is fairly intuitive.
  • App shuts down by itself

I have been using this app for years and since the last update I can no longer count my carbs, protein and fat when I quick add my recipe or food. I now can only do it if I purchase the premium plan. Along with turning off in the middle of logging food or making a recipe and making me re-enter all the information I have moved my 4 star rating to a 2.

Bought a year premium. A few months go by with out using the app, next time I use it says I am not premium. Check my subscriptions and sure enough it says I’m good for 6 more months. So I google how to fix the issue and myfitnesspal website advises to just purchase it again and I won’t be charged. So here I sit getting charged again. So just be wary about this app as it has no restore subscription button and you could be throwing $80 down the drain.
  • Greed $ over health

It used to be a great app but now it’s more focused on money than helping people log their fitness-weight loss journey. You have to pay for the basic carb and fat (food journal) log. Goodbye -I’ll think twice before purchasing Under Armour apparel in the future.

Really gives you everything you need to know about nutrition
  • Great at food monitoring

    By Coko11203
Used this app off and on for years and it’s pretty good at listing nutritional facts of foods I’ve searched. I wish I was able to modify the pie chart though. I would like to be able to include fiber since that is considered part of a balanced diet as well.
  • Room for improvement

Interface is not nearly as user friendly as the LoseIt app. The premise of the app is good but it’s frustrating to use. The free version only gives you access to half the screen while scrolling in diary mode. App is glitchy and freezes a lot. Any time you leave the diary page and come back, it scrolls all the way back up to the top, and you have to scroll down again. I’m constantly scrolling in this app. Can’t see macros on the main diary page. App defaults to home tab but diary tab is the most frequently used. It could be so much easier to use than it is
  • Not as good as older version

    By njiuop
Record was a much better app, better graphics and better user interface. This app requires you navigate through several pages to log data. Also limits your goal choices and progress view more than the older version. Now I have to use this app and MapMyFitness to get the same data Record use to log. Food bar scanner is very helpful and works well.

This is an awesome app to use for weight loss. It tracks every aspect of life. The calorie menu was very much up to date and is easy to use and navigate.

The app crashes every time I try to log something
  • Fraudulent billing

    1
    By lizzytx
What ever you do don’t start the premium subscription. You will never be able to cancel it. The button to cancel your subscription simply does not exist! I had to go through my bank and put a claim on this company to get them to stop billing. Completely dishonest business.

I loved my fitness pal and this app helped me lose the weight I need it. At that time I used to pay 9 bucks for the premium, now it’s 19. There are other apps that are great also and not 20 bucks! Shame on you guys!
  • Latest release Freezing when updating entries

    1
    By ASlackJawYokel
Constant freezing when adding/updating diary entries. Must close and restart app to get the updated entry to take effect and continue working.
  • New update bug

    2
    By Tay-Day
With this new update, when you complete the exercise set and select “Log Set and Rest” it does not count down the rest time and go to the next set like the previous versions. Instead it leaves the page totally back to the list of exercises.
  • It was good

    3
    By Allyblackness
I’ve never written a review for an app, but have enjoyed this one long enough as to get pretty perturbed by the changes. The updates are absolutely god awful and devolve what was once a fantastic app. If you now hit a meal option and go to log calories, it asks you once again what meal you’re logging. I ALREADY TOLD YOU. (Ex; lunch) Please tell me this is a glitch? Additionally, is it after midnight? Backtracking to the day before is now either impossible or too difficult to waste my time. I’m sorry but if it’s 12:20, you’re yesterday’s calories. I hold hope you’ll fix the app, otherwise, I’ve been a loyal user for years and will seek an alternative. It was absolutely amazing for tracking over the years and I’d have nothing but good things to say prior to this review.
  • Complications

    4
    By Shaunmichae
Please add this app as a complication to the Apple Watch because it’s really annoying that I have to go into all my apps on my watch to check my macros.. please add this in the future.
  • Saving each item takes several minutes

    1
    By 25845584558
This app is in dire need of maintenance. Adding a single meal can take hours as you have to wait several minutes for each meal item to be saved
  • Scanner is great

    By kbug7572
Excellent did diary. Really like that you can scan the UPC and it pulls in the nutrition for you Jan2020 update. Downrated from 5 to 3 because it no longer syncs with Apple Watch. Exercise is not pulled in. Yes I’ve checked blogs on MFP and Apple and tried the solutions up to and including deleting and reinstalling the app. Still great for nutrition but you won’t get any calorie credit for workouts. Apple probably caused the problem but it’s always the burden of third party apps to adapt. If MFP gets this fixed I’ll update my rating
  • GARMEN SYNC

    1
    By shineinfinity
I am a Premium member and if I had it to do over again, I would choose a different App! MFP will absolute not sync with my GARMEN and it is beyond maddening. Support’s advice? Disconnect. Reconnect. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Money down the proverbial drain.
  • Fitness Pal is Key to Weight Loss

If you chart your food intake and weight daily, you will be successful. Great app!
  • Doesn’t support Samsung health for IOS

    2
    By Turdnugget01
I racked my brain for WEEKS trying to figure out why I couldn’t sync them. The Internet was inconclusive— it was clear that Samsung health was compatible with MyFitnessPal. I only found out through finally reaching an agent from MyFitnessPal that Samsung health is completely compatible with MyFitnessPal, BUT not on iPhones. Samsung fitness watches market that they are compatible with iPhones and the Samsung health app does as well. Thus, reasonably, some IPhone users MUST use Samsung health. So why does MyFitnessPal neglect these people? It’s also strange that MyFitnessPal offers syncing with the Garmin active app, but not Samsung (on IOS). I would really appreciate it if the IOS version supported S health like the android version does.
  • Works great

    4
    By Andywmm9
Works great, but I wish it would integrate with Apple health more. For example, I log workouts on my Apple Watch. These should automatically show up as exercise in the app, but instead I have to manually add them there. In addition, it should use my weight I log in Apple health so it isn’t in two places.
  • It’s pretty nice having

    4
    By HighSchoolAthlete.Eats🍕AllDay
I wish it had more features, but it still keeps me motivated to eat healthy and exercise every day which I have been doing now.
  • PLEASE FIX

    By Nehshqga
I am paying a subscription but my macros are not updating accordingly! My fats and carb amount DO NOT CHANGE! Please fix
  • Was the best.

    2
    By Tristan the neatest ever
The subscription use is so shameful. 12$ a month to track calories. I honestly would pay a flat rate for a one time purchase. However most of the great features that were free are no longer there. Too bad they got bought out.
  • Limits and issues adding

    3
    By Bye bye Craigslist
You are not able to track most vitamins and minerals in the database therefore you do not know if you are getting all the (complete) nutrition you need from the food you are consuming. “Often” I will scan or try to add a food and it will recognize it but it won’t transfer to my log. Very frustrating
  • Dark mode

    It’s 2020. Where’s dark mode?
  • Steps Not Syncing with Garmin Watch

    1
    By Gregs3
The app was hit and miss syncing with my Garmin watch and it was a struggle to get them to show up, but now it has completely stopped showing my steps. I have synced both devices, reset the steps setting, but they’re still not showing at all in the Exercise section. Updated to add: the app has quit syncing my steps altogether. Nothing works to get them to show up. Time to get rid of MFP for good.
  • Why I like it

Works well for me. Keeping a running total during the day helps me keep the calories and micros where they should be. I especially like that it links to Map My Ride!

    By Gaming5
Great app truly helped me lose weight and it’s a great way to keep track of what your eating and helps you realize “dang this food is way worse for me than I thought” i realized just how bad i was eating and it shows all the nutrition facts and it’s just amazing %100 the best food tracking/weight loss app out there
  • Constantly asks to upgrade to premium

    4
    By Mountains889
So far the app seems good. A little ridiculous how often I’m asked to upgrade to premium which is either a lump sum of $70 a year or $15 a month. I’ve only been using it 4 days and it’s asking me for a review. Yes I like it but give me some time. Bar code scanner is very convenient. Eating at a restaurant I found to be tricky and guessing a lot. Wish liquids were separated from food - there’s a water category but if I drink juice or carbonated water I basically put that as a snack which is misleading because it helps hydrate.

  • It does the job

    By LizzzieLou
I use the free version, and it does just what I need it to, except the sync to my Fitbit. That used to work, but crapped out one day. But this is all free, so it’s totally fine.
