  • Poor security and zero support!

    By ibeenjamn
The app provides anyone your full name if they enter your phone number. I found this out when trying to add a family member with a new device that was registered with someone’s old phone number. The app will not allow me to enter the code it sends to the number so the number can be reset and thus the app will not work. I emailed the Life360 support email address for help. I received an immediate, automated response pointing me to their FAQs. Still no response to my technical issue. Very poor service!

We like this app, since the update 3 days ago it is draining the battery. This needs to be fixed so we can continue to enjoy. When fixed will change rating to 5

Worked great until update 72hrs ago, now either won’t load or won’t update location. I’ve had this app for over a year with few issues but it’s now unusable.

  • Love the app, but...

    By Preacher3550
My wife and I use this app to locate each other in a hurry without sending a message. We are both having trouble receiving messages through our carrier since having this app. I hope there is something that can be done, as we like this app and don’t want to switch to another one.

I recently went on a trip out of the country with a few girlfriends. While we were gone, I asked my parents to just keep an eye on where we were. We were in Turks and Caicos and my dad could even identify when we stayed at the hotel pool versus going to the beach. What piece of mind!
  • Someone is using my phone number

    By The Dude(57820)
Some person is using MY phone number for this app and the verification process isn't working. Whenever i try to send a code it sends but theres nowhere to enter it in the app so i go nowhere. Now its saying i tried to verify too many times and to “come back later”. Do you people not verify the first time someone registers?! Ive had this phone number for 7 years!!! Please fix promptly! My name is NOT “janella” as the app keeps claiming!

  • Great! Just one issue

    By Nicole moscioni
This app is perfect for everyone! But the one problem I do have is that I go to see where a person is and it says they’re somewhere that they’re not all the time it never shows the person in the exact spot they’re in and it’s just irritating.

  • Someday days it work

    By Autumngold11
There are times it works great and other times it doesn’t work at all. Since the last couple of updates it isn’t what it use to be. A couple of times it didn’t track my husband at all, I called him and is gps was on and my phone kept saying he was at my home. It has happened more than once. Don’t care for the last two updates.

This app helps track on my kinds
  • This app should not be on the App Store

    By its always correct
It isn’t even a full day with the app and my family is ripped apart. I’m a 14 year old girl who needs space. With this app that is not possible. My sister and I both heard awful things from this app from other kids we know. Saying we have no privacy and they feel like they are being controlled all the time. I do agree that every child/ teen should have a type of control but this has gone to far. After reading some reviews off this app there have been many misleading situations when the child was in the right and the location was wrong. Not to mention our street name is wrong. I feel as if with this app there are many complications in which need to solved but I will forever hate this app. Thank you!
  • this app is trash

    By nikki.101
This app needs to be deleted off the App Store. My mom downloaded this trash on my phone without me knowing so she can follow my move 24/7. When ever I try to hang with friends or go to someone’s house she’s always stalking my every move watching every stop and waiting till my phone will die. This app also drains your battery so much I once had 100% and it went down to like 60% with me barely using my phone. Also if my phone dies the app will say I turned off my location so my mom will think I blocked her or deleted the app. This app is an invasion of privacy and and it useless. NEEDS TO BE DELETED!!!!🤬
  • Not accurate

    By fyeredd
Not accurate, I was sitting right next to someone and the location was not accurate, when we set it up so that when someone leaves the house it wasn’t accurate, great idea though
  • I’ve used this app for over a year

    By Cassla_724
I’ve always loved this app! For instance, my 10 yr old daughter was riding the bus home from school but it had been 30 min past her usual drop off time. Turns out, she had a substitute bus driver and he never did drop her off. I called the bus garage dispatch who told me she’d be home in 5 min. We waited 20 more min. At was at work while this was happening and her dad was waiting at home. She kept calling me at work crying, confused & scared. Turns out the bus driver had no clue where he was going. Dad was able to look up get location and go get her himself. With that being said, the location and notifications are off lately. My notifications are going off at weird times and are inaccurate. For instance, my most recent notification as of this morning, was saying that my 10 yr old daughter left home at 4am and went to the woods 5 miles away and returned home around 7am. Then left again and went in the opposite direction to the north, almost 10 miles away and returned 17 min later around 8am. All of this is inaccurate because she was sleeping and woke up around 7am and none of us have even left the house yet today. How can I trust this app on the location of my daughter if she were ever in trouble, since it doesn’t seem to be working correctly lately?

What I like so much now is that you can see how fast or slow they are driving. Love that it shows their speed while on the road or when they stop.
  • Let your kids learn from their own mistakes

    By let us have freedom
My parents made me get this app to make sure I “wasn’t kidnapped while walking to school” which is a little less than half a mile away. And now I’m on summer break supposed to be enjoying my high school years just like everyone that is my ages parents did when they were in high school but with this app I cant do anything fun and I’m about to be a senior! I want to live my life and make my own decisions. Life360 is nice about reporting accidents but literally nothing else is good for a high school student that is trying to enjoy life before adulthood. If your a parent looking for a gps app, don’t make your high school kid download this app. It’s an invasion of privacy. Let them enjoy their youth just like you got to do. We have to learn from our own mistakes so please let us. With that I say.. I hate life360 for making me feel like a wild bear that’s being tracked to see if it lives through the winter.
  • Great app but tells on you.

    By freeswimming
    It’s a snitch
  • Horrific Invasion of Privacy

    By JuliedBranson
If you want any kind of a healthy relationship with the people in your family avoid at all costs. If you’re a neurotic parent or spouse this app will absolutely put you over the edge. There is no reason someone should need to know so much information without consent. The basic location settings on the iPhone are more accurate anyways. Such a sad age we live in...
  • Worked perfect at first

    By rec98117
Me and my bestfriend use this app and it worked really well at first we loved it but now it’s telling me she’s been at home(we live together ) for a week and she’s been out of state very disappointed

I love knowing where our kids are and being able to check in often to make sure they’re safe and where they said they would be.
  • App is the best thing since sliced bread!

    By Marysville girl
I almost never write reviews, but this app is amazing! Our seventeen year old just started driving and this app is my peace of mind. It’s also great for general updates in where everyone is without those boring updates of “I’m heading home” or “I got to school” - in a word, it’s a lifesaver and I’m happier than I can say that I found it!
  • Needs some parenting improvements

    By Scholarly Gaming
Yes, I am a teenager, but I see that this app is somewhat necessary to have. I’m not going to complain about “privacy issues” - there are already enough teens in this review page doing that. As an app, it does exactly what it says it does - it allows you to track people’s phones with their permission. It can also tell you some driving information (more if paid) and gives place notifications if you’re within a certain area. It works pretty well. However, this app could use some improvements. Given that a lot of people using this app are parents, it needs to be a bit more upfront with its limits. Most parents are reasonable, but some are quick to jump to conclusions. And when a parent like that sees a message saying that a kid’s location cannot be tracked, the immediate conclusion is “Why, the kid just turned on Airplane Mode!” And GPS isn’t entirely accurate. Location differences of a hundred feet can lead to complete disasters for kids - as some of the raging reviews show. Now, neither of these is the app’s fault. Connections do get lost sometimes, and GPS will never be 100% accurate. But a few things could help improve kids’ experiences. 1. Whenever a person’s location is unavailable, a notification is sent. Make it so that if someone opens the app, or clicks on the notification, a message shows up stating the length of the disconnect and that short disconnects of 15 minutes or less can occur sometimes. 2. Make it more clear that the GPS can be inaccurate to a degree. A purple circle is shown - change its color, and if it contains the center of a place, make the actual location show up there - with a fainter one where the GPS says it is. 3. Make two alerts show up 5 and 10 days after the app is installed, stating that Life360 is tracking the phone’s location. Make sure the notification is forced - if it doesn’t show up, make the app automatically remove the person from the circle or something. I think that parents shouldn’t have to resort to underhanded trickery to install this app. They should be open about the fact that they are putting it on there. And if they aren’t, the kids should be told. 4. Increase the maximum place area accuracy from a maximum of 2 to a max of 10 miles, and use a logarithmic scale instead of a linear one. It #1: makes the app more useful and #2: allows parents to set a larger radius so that kids aren’t automatically chained 2 miles from home. Thanks for reading my long review - I really hope the developer sees this.
