  • Helpful list app

As my wife and I have our iPhones with us most of the time, this is very useful to add an item to our shopping list when we think of it. Secondly, it’s nice to split up in the grocery store or while running other errands and each have our own list that we share. Wish we could categorize items on our list so we could organize our shopping up and down the aisles a bit better. Seems like the app used to do that easier.

Tried the free version for a while then sprung for the (reasonably priced) paid version its super intuitive and glitch free from my experience Its improved our grocery shopping too if I think of something I can put it down right then and its shared w my partner so whoever ends up at the store has the latest list

It would be vert beneficial to have the Amazon Alexa sync with the recipes that people have saved. By doing so, you would be able to see your recipe on the Amazon Show.
  • This is what an app should be!

Here is a thoughtfully designed app that just does its job. It's not in my way, but it gives me the direction and features I need. If every app, tool, product was designed as well as this, the world would be a better place!
  • Just pay for it

I’ve had an AnyList membership for a few years now and I love it! I can label items by store, include pricing, add recipes, make meal plans...I also use it to keep an inventory of my essential oils and I have a list devoted to all my camping gear making packing for trips quick and easy. Hands down the best app for organization!

I love AnyList!! Very easy to use. But the thing I like the best is that it works with Alexa. When I realize that I need something, I’m usually doing something, so I don’t want to have to go find my phone and open the App. I just tell Alexa, and boom, it is added to my list, the correct list! Awesome!!

This app is literally everything I have ever wanted in a grocery/meal planning app. The grocery list has all the proper features from alphabetizing to sorting by category. Make your own categories based on aisles at the store. Allows different visibility of the grocery list based on what you have/haven’t crossed off. This app also works with Alexa and is simple to use. Meal planning is great too. Ability to import recipes or Make your own. The calendar works great too. So many features. The ONE thing it needs is the ability to import the meal planning calendar into the phone calendar. We run our lives in the calendar so we can see what’s going on every day and not having to go into the app to see the meal plan for the day would be nice.

A couple of years ago I switched to AnyList from Grocery Gadget, which I'd been using for years. I wish I'd switched sooner! It's a really well put together app. They made it so easy to add images to list items, which is huge for us. If my husband stops at the store for me he doesn't have to guess which brand, variety, etc. I also like that we can select which lists to share rather than having it be all or nothing. The app is endlessly customizable - change the color scheme, font, what info is/isn't displayed, filter by store, etc. Editing to add that I've now been using AnyList for over a year. I still love it, and my husband and I use it daily. While I've always just used the notes field for this purpose, I'm thrilled that the latest update now includes quantity and price fields! Edit #2: You can now ask Alexa to add items to any one of your lists! This is fantastic as I currently have 17 lists. I tested it out immediately after I saw the update come through and I was amazed at how seamlessly it worked. A+! Edit #3: I just renewed my subscription for another year. I still think this is the best grocery app available. I prefer keeping my recipes in Paprika, but I do sometimes paste a list of ingredients into a “recipe” in AnyList so I can easily import the items I need into my shopping list. Now if only Siri could understand me better when trying to add items that way. More than half the time it interprets the name as having a space (Any List vs AnyList) and can’t find the app. 🙄 Alexa has no problem with this though, and since that’s what I use in my kitchen it’s what I use to add items the most.
  • Love it!!

I use this app daily! The feature I use often is the recipe import option from a compatable website. This includes the entire recipe and from the ingredient list, I can tap on one I need and it is placed in my grocery list. I can share the grocery list and any other list with my husband. He can check off or add to any list I've shared with him. We created a Bucket List we share and add to when we think of something. I have categorized lists for preparing to travel. I could go on and on about our lists, recipes, meal planning and grocery list but I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a system that works. So give it a try and enjoy!

The ability to scrape recipes from the web and then be able to add items to the grocery list is amazing. I used to use just a grocery list app, but with this it makes it soo much simpler to plan and organize.

  • Great App with One Glaring Omission

A nicely built interactive ecosystem of organization. But, although it can take and store photos, there is no support for barcodes. How much easier would it be to simply scan and grab complete, specific information (metadata) on any SKU?
  • Almost perfect

    By SJE56
I have no complaints so far. This would be 5-star app if there was a scanner for quicker entry of items. I am surprised for such a quality product that there isn’t one. Seems pretty standard with all the other apps of this nature.

I cook a lot and I found this app a few years ago. I cannot say enough about it. I love how organized I can be with the shopping list for all the stores I shop at and being able to plan my meals out on the meal planner and having the recipes so easily uploaded to my device....and much much more. Thank you so much for such a great tool!😊

This app has totally changed my life. I use it to make lists of things I have for a small business with pictures added so I don’t duplicate items. I keep my home repair items on another list. Groceries on another. Vacation items to pack-goes on and on. I recently upgraded and I am just getting the hang of recipes imported into the app. Some more organizing to do! Great 👍 app! So happy I stumbled on this one.
  • Great app for keeping and sharing lists

My wife and I have used AnyList for just over a year. We keep multiple shopping, to do, and other lists that we share using our family subscription. Any additions or deletions are displayed in real-time, so each of us can keep up with what been done or what needs to be purchased. I particularly like the ability to include photos and notes in the lists. It makes it handy when your shopping to see exactly what the product looks like.

Flexible, adaptable, well-thought out. The recipe function alone is worth the price- just to be able to save recipes found on the web. The more I use it the better I like it.
  • Worth the subscription

    By ducatidude10
This app is wonderfully useful across our family. I don’t usually like subscriptions but this one deserves it. It encourages continued development Allows some really great features Pays for backup and server space And more All good useful things that this app deserves. Plus they don’t kill you on it at all. Even family is only $15 a year. It worth that to keep it an ongoing thing. I don’t usually subscribe and I don’t usually do reviews but this app is the rare exception. Keep it going guys! It’s a good thing!
  • Family share

    By Vogt4h
I LOVE that this app can be shared so my husband and kids can also update the list and let me know what they need. I hated being keeper of “the list” of what everyone needs. This way, as soon as someone uses the last of something they can add it to the list. It’s a game changer. I’ve already told my friends about it and they are using it too!

I use this for all my shopping. Easy to organize each list by aisle in each store. Saves me a lot of time, I just start checking items off as I go through the store and when I get to the end, I am done and no forgotten items. I LOVE IT!!!

This app has completely changed the way I grocery shop. I am not only saving money, but it also cataloged all my recipes with a click of a button! I would HIGHLY recommend this app to everyone who wants to stay organized, and reduce food waste!

I’ve been using this app for years. LOVE the synced shopping lists, and now being able to add items by voice using Alexa. More recently I’ve been using the recipes part of the app. I’ve been able to import almost any recipe I find online that I wish to keep (once in a great while I run across one that’s not in the right format to import, then I can always enter it manually). I’m very impressed with how easy it is to edit recipes. If I want to change items from cups to ounces, I just type in the quantity and tap the “oz.” button—no need to type a space or anything—quick and easy. The developers have thought of everything! It’s a great easy-to-follow format when following a recipe on my iPad. Excellent customer service when I had some questions in the past. Thanks for wonderful and very useful app! Well worth the price for AnyList Complete to unlock all the premium features.

I’ve been using Evernote to store recipes. It works but in a generic sort of text editor way. I just switched over to AnyList and it’s absolutely great. It has some very cool recipe specific features and what made me write this today is how easy it is to import from other apps and web pages. I just imported from Paleoleap.com and the Traeger grill app. It couldn’t have been easier. The only adjustment needed was to the steps section. It brings in all the steps into one step in AnyList. Just had to go in and cut paste into separate steps. Otherwise it’s 5 stars.

I’ve been using AnyList for several years and love it. For the last year or so we.ve had the family plan and connected it to Our echo dots... it is wonderful to be able to ask Alexa to put X on the shopping list anytime you think of something and then any time I’m in a store a just look and bring home everyone’s desires. Works well with Apple Watch too but I find it easier to use my phone in the store as I can see more list items at once

I downloaded the app for the sole purpose of being able to add prices to my items. It gives you the option to add prices but doesn’t actually let you. Why is that?
  • Best Balance Ease - Features

AnyList hits the sweet spot. Best balance between ease of use and multi function capabilities of any of the list keeping apps I’ve used over many years. Layers of features are available but very easy begin use immediately then increase set of features that you use. Sharing of select lists with spouse/partner is seamless and without privacy concerns. I share lists for Groceries, Drugstore, Movies, Household Tasks, Restaurants to Try. Try the free version the upgrade to very reasonable annual subscription to foster continued support in future. My friends thank me whenever I’ve recommended this great app.
