LOVE this app. I scored bonus points with my boss for sharing it with him too. Seriously a game changer!
  • This is a great list solution. Not just a shopping list.

I’ve been using this service (the app, the browser) for probably 5 years now. Initially it was for grocery list to synchronize between my husband and I. Now it’s used for family packing list (air travel list, kids list, camping list, gym bag list), birthday party supplies list, and now also recipe collection. A really awesome feature is the ability to pull up a recipe, tap on the ingredients you’re missing, and it will automatically get added into your grocery list with a notation that it’s for so-do recipe. So when I’m cooking and an ingredient runs low, I just tap it and it will get renewed on the next shopping run. Also, the ability to track which stores we like to buy each item from (e.g. BevMo vs. Costco vs. Whole Foods) and the prices (e.g. eye drops from Walgreens vs. CVS) is awesome.
  • I. Love. This. App.

I am over the moon about this app! The integration with Alexa is perfect. I can keep my shopping list organized for when I’m at the store. The notes are a great reminder to myself of my game plan as I’m shopping. Creating meal plans is so easy; even changing serving sizes and adding ingredients for those recipes is a breeze. And I just cannot find the words to properly express my excitement over the Import Recipe feature AND I just discovered that it works with Safari on my iPhone too! 🤯 As if all that wasn’t enough, it seems like these developers can read my mind before I can! I occasionally think it would be nice if... only to find this app does that now! Love! Love!! LOVE!!!
  • Awesome list app

If you are anything like me, you have to make lists for everything. I use them for packing, grocery shopping, setting up and tearing down for camping, you name it. This is by far the easiest and most versatile list app on the market and, believe me, I’ve tried them all. The price for premium is better than most, as well. Edit: It just keeps getting more useful. I love to cook and have always struggled to save and organize recipes. No more! The recipe function, along with the plugin that lets you download an online recipe to the app and save it, is simply awesome. In the recipes, you can click the ingredients you need to buy and they go right to your grocery list. I can’t say enough about this app.
  • Game-changer

My husband and I use this for our grocery list (and other lists too)... I love that you can connect it to Alexa and Siri, so as you’re cooking and use something up, you can tell Alexa to add it to your grocery list, or tell Siri as you’re driving in the car to the store when you inevitability remember something else you need. Also love the “import” feature on the full version- with basically two clicks you can save a recipe on the app and easily add just the ingredients you need to your list!
  • Very Handy

This app is very handy to have around. I especially like the store location feature. Whenever I’m near a store that’s assigned to a particular list I have then my phone will ding letting me know I’m nearby that store and have items on my list. My memory is horrible anymore so that really helps me out.
  • LOVE this app!

I am so glad we discovered this app. It works perfectly. My husband and I can add things to our shafted grocery list throughout the week, including by using Siri, and then it’s always available on our phones for whoever goes to the store. The recipe importer and meal planing calendar are just great as well. I recommend this app to people all the time!

This is an update to my previous review. Anylist Complete continues to impress and improve. It has now become my go-to general listing program. It continues to be great for recipe finding, meal planning; and can, optionally, add ingredients to shopping list. I’m now using it for additional information such as packing lists and other reminders. Previous review: “ I tried 5-6 apps for recipe planning and shopping before settling on Anylist and it keeps getting better.” — a long term satisfied user
  • No subscription for me.

I really like the app, and would gladly pay for the premium for, but the f**k if I’m going to pay for a subscription. Put a donation page like the other good apps - I’m not signing up for you to quit supporting your users and then giving them hell for trying to unsubscribe. Deleting this crap.

Game changer. Everything you would want in a to-do / recipe / grocery list app and more.
  • One of the most useful apps out there. . .

. . . and it’s a grocery (and more) list! AnyList is exactly what I was looking for and is well supported by the developers. I wanted a “list app” that could easily be shared with others and one that was accessible on the Apple Watch as well. Your grocery list can be viewed on the Watch and items can be “cleared” simply by tapping each item. And all items are synced to all members of a shared list. Simple but fills the need.
  • Apple Watch

Love AnyList! I have been using it daily for all the things to remember for at least 3 years! I received an Apple Watch for Christmas & was excited to see that it was one of the apps that I could add to it. Unfortunately it says that I have to purchase AnyList complete in order to use it on my Apple Watch. I would have to purchase an upgrade for $7.99 for the year! I really enjoy the free app & really don’t have a need for the upgrade! I just really wanted to be able to use it from my Watch as I am working throughout the day & need to add something quick.....
  • Excellent App and amazing customer service!

I cannot seem to find a way to edit my previous review, but long story short, I had trouble with a key feature and the developer took the time to post a reply that helped me fix the issue. Now the app is totally 5 stars for me again! Thank you!

Love this List app. So easily adapted to other than grocery list. Easily restore items on the lists that I repeatedly use from day to day, or time to time. I don’t ever want to be without it! Grateful to my son for finding it, and sharing it with use. Also love the fact that my wife can see where I am at in addressing shared lists, as well as I can see what she has accomplished. I created a route list so that she can know where I am at in my errands and approximately when I will be done. Valuable tool!

Have loved this app for a long time, especially since it was free. Now you can no longer import from the web (and who knows what else) without paying for a 1 year subscription.

This app was the best app for recipes and grocery list. Now it no longer syncs to Alexa so it’s not as useful as it used to be for me. Please fix this problem so I don’t have to find another grocery app. Thanks!!

As I purchase items, i cross things off during the shopping process ... but there is a strike through that I can not remove as I have the same list for my next shopping session ... how do I go about getting that done?
  • Love the shopping list, Alexa connectivity

    By cabochica99
I use Alexa to add to AnyList alllllll the time, and I love the look and functionality. I recently started with the Meal Plan features so I could sync my meals and grocery list, and it’s a bit clunky. When you click into your meal from the meal plan, it goes to the ingredients and not the recipe. I’m hoping UX improvements are in their future for the Meal Plan, but overall I’m a fan of the app.
  • My favorite app for lists so far

    By 89Jessi
I love how easy it is to use, and how customizable it is. In the quantity, I do think they should add an ounce portion, that way you can specify how big of a container you purchased. Also, you do have to put in each of the prices yourself, they might want to consider seeing if they can team up with stores that list their prices online to auto-fill that information.
  • Great customizable list app

I’ve been using this app for a couple years now. I love making lists, and this app is perfect for menu planning, making shopping lists, making packing lists for trips, making to do lists for chores, etc. I recently got the app for my daughter, who also loves lists. The “cross off” feature is very satisfying.

  • Need to upgrade to use watch!

    By Shark0828
I made my account and my grocery list. I get ready to go to the store and I make sure I have it on my watch. Came to find out you have to pay $7.99 for the year to have access to this app on your Iwatch. Now I’m a person that only uses an app for a few months. Then I’m off to the next one. I paid the $7.99 because I did enjoy how easy the app was and I loved how it categorized everything without any hassle. We will see how it all works together. This could be a 5 star app. I really haven’t given it any time at all. I’m just reviewing so others know before hand. I’m a little upset about not knowing it was 7.99 to access on my watch.
  • The importance of honesty…

    1
    By SFCaptn
The importance of honesty… I love Anylist. Fantastic app. …but it is important to be honorable and follow through with your promises. I purchased Anylist “Complete” back when the company was just beginning. The Anylist “Compete” app upgrade; at that time; was sold as a one-time charge, including lifetime updates. After they went to the subscription model; they changed their “founding customers” subscription back to the free version. We would have to write them to get it changed back to the “Complete” version of the app. They would apologize, claim that the subscription was a “donation model” and change it back. I have paid for the annual subscription for a few years to help support them with their updates, but again, they automatically changed my account back to the free version. Is it really that difficult to mark all the customer’s accounts that you promised “life time” AnyList Complete to; so that you can make good on your past promise, and not pressure us into making a “donation”? It’s not the $12, it’s the principal. That would be the honest thing to do guys. This would help not deteriorate the good will that you have with your long-time loyal customers.

I’ve used several different sites and AnyList keeps me organized with lists and recipes that pop items for your recipes right into your grocery lists. I also enjoy being able to email recipes to friends and relatives. In the past week I have sent recipes to my granddaughters that they requested. They were impressed at how quickly I responded...thanks to AnyLists recipe option. I am also so pleased with the customer support...they are fast and efficient to help you with any questions or issues you might have. I love AnyList!!

  • Finally found a useful grocery list

    By SausalitoSam
Thanks for a great app. Excellent auto fill of common items. Sharing works great. Feature requests: preserve scroll when toggling view of crossed out items; make “uncross all” easy to find and “delete all” hard to find. Every week I cross out 100 items then reset them. Also, might be nice to have separate indicators for “don’t buy this week” and “put in cart”. “Cross out” can mean either.

I have never written a review before but this is literally the best app in the App Store. I have been using daily for about 4 years and could not live without! Being able to import recipes directly from the internet is a game changing feature.
  • Make life easier

    By Kfatouah
I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It has so many amazing features like the recipe browser that finds the recipe on a web page and automatically fills it in to your collection. The shared grocery list help my husband and I stay on the same page and the meal planning calendar is amazing. They are constantly adding new features. This app is my families MVP!!!
  • One of the best!

    By Jake0866
This is the one app that I happily pay for every year. It’s just that good. Between the meal planning, recipe library (that we built) and shopping lists that my wife and I share it just makes life easier. My wife and I share the list as we go around the store and cross of items in real time. Cuts shopping time in half. I cannot recommend this app enough!!!
  • Not Just Any List!

    By DASummers
Any List is by far my favorite app! It has made my life so much easier. I use it every day to look up recipes, make a meal plan, make a grocery list, shop off a grocery list and it’s all on one app. My husband even has it so we can share our lists adding to or crossing off the same list. I can’t say enough about how much I love this app!
  • The best!!!

    By Shelly from Sauquoit
I just want to say that this app has changed my life. The ease of making list and the meal menu is to die for. Still adding my personal recipes manually but when I search the web and see a recipe and like bang it’s in app! Then to see the recipe and the ease of adding the ingredients to my grocery list. I have created my grocery list like my favorite grocery store and there you go!! I could go on & on. If you are looking for the BEST then look no farther. Please don’t ever stop supporting this app.
  • BEST LIST & RECIPE APP AVAILABLE!

    5
    By Kbbbbbbbbbb111111
If you are reading this review— you NEED the AnyList App! I cannot believe that this is a free app! It is unbelievably comprehensive, easy to link devices, and makes the recipe-shopping-cooking process SO MUCH EASIER! All you have to do is find your favorite recipe online— could be in a blog post or on an actual recipe site, the format doesn’t matter (which amazes me). Just export the Safari page to “AnyList Recipes” and VOILA! You have the complete recipe- ingredients and steps- fully transcribed to your AnyList app. From there, you can click on the ingredients to add to your grocery list on the app, create a meal plan, and share your recipes and plans. To the creators of this app: I cannot thank you enough!! Your hard work and attention to detail is noticed and sincerely appreciated.
  • Essential App

    5
    By bravedave62
This app is essential. You pair with Reminders app And add list items on the fly using Siri. “Add coriander to my grocery list. “ And voila. There it is. I share my list with my wife and each of us gets a notification whenever another has added something to the grocery list. Generally speaking, it knows what section of the grocery store to visit in groups like items together. When you’re done in produce, move on to something else. You can even link it Amazon Alexa. I keep checklists on it, packing, boat launching, etc. Dependable and slick. Try it!
  • AnyList is Awesomely Useful

    By Word Crafter
I have been using the Complete version of AnyList for about a month and I absolutely love it! I created a multiple-category list before Christmas (i.e. gifts, homemade projects to complete, items to bake, etc.) to help me stay organized and focused. Specifically I love that I can individually decide to use or not use categories. I love it that I can reorder categories as well as items within categories. Surprisingly I haven’t used it much for groceries yet, but I think it will be very convenient. The Recipe component also looks interesting, although I haven’t used it yet either. The Help section is extremely, well, helpful. Also, I sent a question to Tech Support and I heard back within a few hours (if not less). I have yet to download the app to my desktop but I look forward to the added flexibility that will give me. I wholeheartedly recommend AnyList Complete version.
  • AnyList is Great!

Last year my Sister-in-law introduced me to AnyList and my life hasn’t been the same since I started using it! Although you can create and share lists using the free app, the paid subscription is so worth the small annual subscription price. I can search for recipes, save them to my I-phone and add the ingredients I need to buy to my grocery list! I can even print the recipe for use while cooking. And, I’ve created lists for other things like my medications. Whenever I go to the doctor, I just print the list. I love AnyList. Best thing going!!!

I spent about 15 minutes on the free version before I bought a subscription, so my husband and I could sync. This is such a robust app. Everything we hoped to be able to do, we’ve been able to figure out. The best part? We can update ONE list when we see something running low at the house. No back and forth texting about what everyone needs from the store. It’s perfect. Thanks so much!

Great list app. Syncs well between iPad, iPhone and watch. I’ve changed the order of my grocery list to better match the actual isles. I can down my list and isles in order. My grocery shopping time is much more efficient and I really hate grocery shopping.

Makes shopping for groceries and meal planning by allowing access to each family member to add to the list, document who’ll be home for dinner and meal planning to accommodate everyone without the usual chaos.

Perfect to share with my husband while we are at the store. Takes a third of the time we normally take. As he picks up an item it marks it off my list and vise versa. Amazing love the recipe import to.

Have been using app about 6 months and like it better than any of the other free list apps I’ve tried. I like being able to make separate lists for the stores I usually visit, being able to customize the icon color for the lists, and being able to add notes to the list items.
  • Use this daily - one suggestion though?
