    I have recently had a DNA test which show that I have quite a bit of Scottish blood! I would love to visit(I live in the US) but I fear outlander is as close as I will ever get. I love the scenery and just the whole atmosphere of the series. Thank you all so much.

    Update: it seems like what I thought was another episode playing was actually a 30 second ad. It was difficult for me to tell the difference between the ad and a recap, so I thought the episodes were mixed up. Original review: I’ve liked the stability of the app so far, but it seems like some episodes are mixed up. For example, episode 2 of The White Princess, “Hearts and Minds,” is actually missing. When I’ve tried to play the episode in the app, an episode from “The Spanish Princess” plays instead. I’ve tried this across devices, so it seems like a problem with the app itself, and not my access to it. It’s not a huge deal, but it did make me log off Starz and onto another streaming service to watch something else during my downtime.

    I subscribed to STARZ application like a week ago because they offered some tv series that I am interested in. The problem that I have is that I have been unable to open the application on my iPad and is an aggravation because I watch all my movie on it. I have to watch my programs on my phone to be able to see them. Unacceptable!!!! My iPad is the latest version and is up to date. Stated that I don´t have internet connection which I do have. I sent an email to the company and it seems like they don’t care about my issue. As soon as I finished watching what I want will be cancelling the subscription. 🤬

    I’ve only had the app for a day... to say the least it could work better. It has had several playback issues. Long pauses that don’t work through most of the time, to where I have to start the app all over again. It would also be a nice feature if the episodes were a bit more accessible, meaning easier to find.

    I downloaded and paid $5 dollar for the 3 month deal. This deal is too good to be true!!!!!!!!! It’s $5 per month for 3 months, they do not tell you that. The advertising is Predatory and miss leading. I have canceled my subscription, I don’t like to be lied it by companies.

    I tried to sign up through iTunes on my iPhone and it downloads just fine, asks me to create an account and then says in-app purchases are not allowed. Sooo....I guess I’m sticking with HBO?

    I just downloaded the app and the UX/UI is absolutely NOT up to standards. The home menu is blank and doesn’t load, the app is super slow and I can’t easily find my downloaded content. Sub-par App usability is how you lose customers after they’ve finished watching the show they signed up to see.

    As many people have recently stated, the content here is great but the app is absolutely terrible. It only works half the time, and when it does work it doesn’t keep me logged in so I am constantly having to put in credentials. Further, I now seem to be unable to download anything for watching while I am in the air? The pop up says “user is unable to play content with this product” content ID 44185 (adobe) product starzplay even though I am on an iPad that I have successfully downloaded and watched on in the past. Help and suggestions would be great to get this figured out. Better yet, STARZ, please just look at HBO or Netflix for pointers. Rarely, if ever, have issues with those providers.

    Love the app but it would be great if you updated it so that I can watch shows in a different language from my phone. On the tv I can switch the language but I can’t do it from my phone when I’m on the go.

    I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall this App. It’s constantly acting like I suddenly don’t have access or coverage by my provider— even immediately after playing an episode of a series or a movie! Really sick of this. This happens with NO other movie channel App I have, EVER! I’ve given up believing this is a bug and now conclude its somehow a feature, but have no idea what they gain from irritating customers this way. Just fix this stupid App!!! I have better things to do with my time!🤬 ++++++ Changed to OS 7 and now just hangs or kicks me out when trying to play a video. Uninstalling & reinstalling did nothing. Maddening.

    I do not like that the CC (closed captioning) is highlighted with a black background because it disrupts the view. Watching it from a tablet also causes the CC font to be really big also disrupting the view. I tried to download an episode and it said it was completed but I was not able to play it. Definitely needs improvement

    I deleted the app and reinstalled and since then I haven’t been able to log in with my app. I can log on on other devices but not the app on my phone. The log in page (for tv provider) will freeze and then say I have the incorrect log in.

    Normally I don’t leave reviews but I am hoping this one leads to improvements on the STARZ app, especially as I am paying for it. While the content is great, there are several issues with this app that I think could be improved upon. For one thing, the app itself takes an exorbitant amount of time to load. Videos are forever loading as well. They often time out while I’m waiting for them to load, lengthening the process. The app is sometimes difficult to navigate or unresponsive. I will click on something 2-5 times before it will actually open. Sometimes I just close out the app in frustration rather than continue waiting for a video to start or for the navigation panel to respond. There’s no quality adjustment on the videos themselves and while it’s true I often have a poor WiFi connection, the quality does not adjust itself very quickly so I end up watching most of the video blurred. If I leave the app and return to it later — even if for a few minutes — there’s no guarantee the video I was just watching will still be open and waiting. Sometimes it is, but often it isn’t. So I have to re-click on the series I was watching (2-5 times, remember), wait for it to pull up, wait for it to load, and sometimes start all over again. Another issue that has occurred repeatedly is that when I click on a series in the Continue Watching category, instead of immediately picking up where I last left off, sometimes the episode that pops up is one that I’ve already seen or finished. So after all that loading, I then have to go to Info, re-find the episode I was actually watching, wait for that to load, and then skim the video until I’ve found the part I left off on. It’s tedious and time-consuming, to say the least. I also wish it was easier to switch between episodes. If there was a panel, for instance, that would provide easy access. If I am watching an episode and suddenly decide I want to refer back to one I’ve already seen — or one I haven’t seen yet — I’d like to be able to access the other episodes quickly without going through a lengthy process to do so. Overall, I find the app frustrating though I enjoy the shows on STARZ. The app needs to be brought up to speed if I am going to continue paying for a subscription.

  • Download quality is a lie

    It asks you for the desired quality when you download a video, but does not honor it. I download at best at about 5-10 mbps, but it takes about 60 seconds to download a 1500 mb file. While it claims to take up that much space within the app, the video quality is terrible and not at all reflective of the supposed bitrate. Such a scam.

    I really enjoy the shows and movies that STARZ offers. They have a wide variety of popular block buster films and original STARZ shows. While the content is great, the app is a little difficult to navigate. I have a difficult time finding my recently watched shows. Recommendations usually miss the mark. It would also be nice to browse by a wider selection of genres rather than the few presets offered. These tweaks would make the app much more attractive and user friendly.

    The starz app is getting to be user friendly but it’s not great. When I want to go 10 seconds ahead in a video, it only goes 6. I need this function a lot because the app does not pause at the place that I’ve stopped watching. I almost always have to figure out what point I’ve watched to in each episode. Highly recommend outlander.

    I downloaded shows to watch offline but the app does not work. It allows access to the download section and see the episodes but not play them. As soon as I tap to watch a downloaded show the whole app crashes. The app should be able to play downloaded episodes when not on WiFi. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed.

    For over a month now the download functionality of the app no longer works. I’ve deleted the app multiple times, re-loaded...nothing works. I have 40gb free on my phone, so storage is not the issue. The downloads start, and end before getting to 100%. Very frustrating, as I like to catch up on my shows on my 2 hour commute every day..
