  • Sync fails with watch over cellular

    By super_genius
I’ve lost count of the times I left my phone in my car and my lists don’t sync. Avoid
  • Love it

    By jslokes
ToDoIst is great! I love that it syncs with the ToDoIst app on my laptop.
  • Great App

    By admiralcatt
Edit: Dev pointed out that my one gripe is configurable, and now I look like a worked up jerk. Updated 3 stars -> 4 stars. Todoist is great for organization as a student, especially with premium. Highly recommend (just change the gesture settings first 😂😍) Old (outdated) review - - - This switch to tick boxes is awful. The swipe functionality for clearing tasks is so much more natural, it’s going to take ages to adjust to this insanity
  • Sync could be improved

    By Goatssssdd
Sync isn’t very fast between my PC and phone, I need to do it manually most of the time
  • Difficult To Navigate

    By obwobw
More difficult than it should be to navigate. Klunky. Slightly better than a mess to work with. Don’t pay annually. Pay monthly until you decide you like it. You might decide, like I did, that it’s not for you. To be honest, the programmers who wrote this are out of touch with many of the realities of “to do” lists. To be honest this is one of the few times I have ever given a truly bad review but this one pretty much deserves it.
  • Downhill

    By Nikaakin
After introducing checkboxes this app lost the grip on reality. Why???
  • Great App Except For Subtasks

    By Antc123
I use this every day at work to keep myself organized. the chrome extension and phone apps are great. For some reason, though, you can’t have subtasks in the “today” list. only in a project.
  • My to-do list of choice

    By The_Great_G
The only thing preventing that fifth star is that there is no way to set tasks to be hidden until another task is completed.
  • The "Complete" Action for the VoiceOver Screen Reader Is No Longer There In The Most Recent Update

    By CDuffley
This review is for those of you using Todoist using the VoiceOver screen reader on iOS. It was very good for some time until the most recent update when I could almost never figure out how to complete tasks because the "Complete" action in the VoiceOver rotor which apparently simulates the Delete (swipe left) action is gone. Is there any way that you could restore this action? Also, because of this, even worse, the checkboxes for completing tasks aren't noticeable to VoiceOver. The AccessibilityElement needs to be set to true in order for this to happen. This is the only thing that I know of that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Other than that, an awesome app that I hope keeps getting better over time! Get it if you haven't done so yet!
  • Awesome but why

    By Yaisah
I love this app, I’ve been using it for years now to keep my sanity. I recently went premium because I feel strongly about how much this app has helped me. Recently you updated to each task having a circle to be able to check when the task is done but I got so used to swiping left to easily delete a task, it used to be quicker just swiping but having the option to only click the circle is not very efficient for the users accustomed to quickly swiping. Can you update to be able to have the option to swipe? :( like give the users which option they want either circle or swipe? :) thanks!
  • Swell app

    By opfjfj
Really, a swell app that allows you to ease anxiety by allowing you a platform to efficiently organize and plan.
  • Love it! So easy to use!

    By Kerrijc
I’ve been using Todoist fo a couple of months and love how it keeps me organized. I use IFTTT to automate some tasks. Best list app I’ve used!
  • Best tool for personal task tracking

    By JB East Bay
Todoist is an example of a product that aims to do just one thing and do it extremely well: personal task tracking. For me, it has great features that really help me relax and know I’ll stay on top of things - but not a lot a superfluous clutter. I do 90% of this on the web site, but the app and the tandem of the two work great. Let’s hope they can make only true improvements without just changes that are confusing and add no value (are you listening Apple and Microsoft?).
  • Customizable swipe settings!

    By HelloPretzel
March 3rd, 2019 UPDATE: Swipes are customizable. You can change swipe settings to Complete, Schedule or Select. This goes for left and right swipes. Settings > General > Swipe Actions
  • Dont change defaults

    By Pahnev
When you give us new functionality please don’t change what we’re used to. BUT if you do, make sure everything actually works. Now I need to restart the app for the selected swipe functionality to become active.

    By Mi1lion
Todoist has made significant strides to be the best productivity tool out there. The UI & UX is just amazing. I’ve tried many other apps but keep coming back to Todoist. It is my final and only to-do-list app out there.
  • Amazing! No need for a notepad anymore

    By Preemiemom
I love this app and use it every day to keep my to do lists organized. It automatically syncs from my iPhone to my desktop. I schedule items to appear on my to do list such as “change Brita filter” every 2 months. Pay bills every other Friday, etc. I can’t recommend this app enough.
  • Great app, but gets worse with each update.

    By 7shamrocks
I love todoist, but it just seems to get worse with each update. They constantly change functionality for the worse. It might be time to find something else.
  • Step backward in latest update

    By Motsumi
Changed core UI functionality. Still have confusing UI differences on mobile—two very different screens for entering and editing tasks depending on how the entry was triggered. Missing the best potential UI opportunity: makes swipe left more than just scheduling. Add A button to edit project, tag, and add comment. And please, please get rid of the full form for task editing. It’s a 10yr old, stale UI concept. No need for it if swipe left can be enhanced.
  • Great option for to do app

By I like games . com
I don’t use this app anymore, but it was a great app to me for many years. Their customer support is really speedy if you need them and always polite. I decided to stop using the app after asking to submit a request to have the checkboxes (that were added 2 days ago) have a toggle off switch option in a future update. They responded that they “don’t currently have a plan to hide checkboxes,” which I thought was surprising since it’s a feature I haven’t seen in the app for the years I’ve used it. That’s fine though! I don’t want checkboxes, so I switched apps (lot more out there now), but again, 4 stars and a polite goodbye to you, Todoist.
  • No!! Go back!

    By Love this game 2!
I love this app, it’s a great, simple to-do list and it’s so nice to just type in natural language. But the newest update is just bad and unnecessary :( Being able to swipe away tasks was so convenient and satisfying, it doesn’t make any sense to change to the tick box. The blue for P3 tasks is also jarring with the warm colors, I preferred yellow better. Please go back to the version before this and make selecting multiple tasks a “click and hold” type situation instead!
  • Swipe to complete is still there folks...

    By robfuzz
First off thank you for this update. I've been waiting for this update for years on iOS to able to multi-select and change priority quickly. It's on Android so I am so happy to see it here! Love the check boxes too! Now it matches the desktop version! I didn't know I needed the blue priority till you added it. Thanks. To everyone : you can still swipe to complete. It's in the settings.
  • New checkboxes are perfect!

    By walk4health
So glad to see the new checkboxes like the web version has. These are quicker to use and visually much nicer. Todoist is a great tool for managing my tasks and my projects, but now it’s even better than ever!
  • Latest UI update a step backwards

    By thomasruns
I love Todoist, but the latest UI update was unnecessary, not something anyone would want, and worst of all it didn’t just add a new option, it changed current functionality and made it an option you have to re-enable. Very, very poor design and implementation decisions! I hope this gets corrected soon and much more thought is put into future decisions.
  • Slight step backwards

    By gstewart
While I love the app and use it constantly, changing level 3 priorities to Blue was a step backwards Before, prioritization was an easy to see at a glance (red = 1, orange =2, light yellow =3, and no priority was empty). So the more important a task, the more red it was Now, level 3 priorities are blue. Totally breaks the intuitive, visual flow. They stand out Can you either change it back? Or let us pick our own colors? I mean if someone wants to go red, blue, black, green or whatever non-intuitive color scheme they want, so be it. But don’t force it on me in an otherwise great app
  • Just got even better

    By David (890)
Switching task completions to a checkbox button was a brilliant move!
  • Question on latest update

    By RickDeaton
Why did you remove the swipe to complete a task? You’ve added an extra click, which is slower.
  • The recent update on the UI is disappointing

    By todoist_user_for_a_year
I used to be able to swipe an item to the right to complete it. Now swiping to the right doesn't do that. Instead it gives me an option to do further things, which is not ideal. Please bring back the swiping UI.
  • New UI Is Awful

    By hdowlanienfndosnsh
They added multi select and in the process designed a UI they clearly did not test on any large devices because it’s impossible to complete tasks with one hand now.
  • Big step backwards

    By wordcowboy
The new update is a big step backwards. It’s a dreadfully poor design and changes some of the best parts of the user interface. As other reviewers mentioned, you can change your swiping rules back to the old way, but then you have these ugly buttons taking up space that do the same thing. Also, it feels like the rows have more height to them now, leaving less on the page. Overall, really poor execution of some bad ideas.
  • Almost perfect.

    By JLBiv
Just needs a corner complication for the Watch’s Infograph face. Otherwise, it’s pretty much perfect. Outstanding control of the way recurring tasks can be schedule, and superb grouping and management tools. Can be made to fit almost any Task Management Methodology, including no methodology at all.
  • Give an option to remove the circles please!!!

    By concernedUser47
Please allow us to choose if we want to see the circles next to our task. I appreciate the customizability of the swipe options, but if you choose 2 out of the three (schedule and complete) this makes the circles completely useless.
  • Amazing

    By doglover537
This app has helped me a lot more than writing my homework down because I use my electronic more then my planner
  • Horrible update

    By JaneDoe789
Please let us choose if we want that circular check mark box or not!!! It makes the interface so ugly and I would never use such feature to begin with... (I already adjusted my swipe selection to what it was.) Horrible update...
  • Like it, but feels stagnant

    By 'Ru
I do like Todoist a lot, but there's functionality that I find it's just lacking. New updates have bug fixes, but I wish I saw more improvements to functionality. My personal biggest annoyances/things Todoist is missing: - There's no way to keep a project automatically sorted by date. I mean, I can use the desktop app and hit "s" every time I change something, but really? - No start dates on tasks. Some tasks span multiple days, and Todoist doesn't provide a good way to keep track of these. - Changing what time "today" ends. I'm often up till 2am or so, but any tasks I complete after midnight count for the next day. - There's no way to automatically sort the Today view by project (within tasks of the same priority, I don't want to see my projects all jumbled together). - Subtask improvements, especially recurring subtasks. Completing a recurring parent task doesn't update completed subtasks.
  • Inforgraph?

    By Mikey25922
Still no support for Apple Watch infograph compilation.
  • Awesome

    By Shirley01987
I have been struggling with to do list. It is nice to have the list in both my computer and my phone! Plus it is great to add detailed notes on computer and not have to type on tiny phone keyboard. I am overwhelmed with categories this spring and summer volunteering, work, school, etc . The application is great for helping me focus and actually know what is most important to get done-and actually getting things done!

  • Organize your life

    By FromRedding
This is by far the best organization app I’ve come across. Although I do not pay for the premium feature, I still think it has amazing features, like importance ratings, different projects for sorting tasks, and due dates. I get daily emails of what’s on the list and there is always a notification of how many tasks I need to get done that day. Perfect for a student or someone in the workplace. It syncs with the computer too so I can have my list wherever I go.
  • Time

By give me a little time
Give me a little time. Some tasks are easier to complete, and some need more study. Some have a timing issue.
  • Very good app

    By Lionel Binnie
Im genuinely enjoying this thoughtfu and intelligent piece of sftware called Todoist. Desktop and phone apps work smoothly together. Im getting stuff done! I highly recomend reading the how to use info as you start using the app as there are lot of features that you might not be aware of that are ‘force multipliers’.
  • Great app

    By philk00
Very easy to use. The Windows app makes desktop work easy, and this syncs perfectly (as you would expect).
  • The best app

    By hoofdoc1969
    #1 in my opinion
  • Almost 5

    By cbenj005
Superior app for GTD. Only shortfall is not being able to add multiple calendars to google calendar for multiple projects with the 2-way linked feature. Again, all else is amazing!!
  • Excellent To Do list for GTD

    By SRG5656
Easy to use. When I learned the Getting Things Done (GTD) approach recently I quickly discovered I needed to try a different To Do list for organizing projects and tasks. I moved to Todoist Premium, set it up as suggested by others with Labels for context and Projects for work and personal tasks. Learned to use Siri to capture tasks quickly in the Todoist Inbox. It was easy to learn and easy to transfer tasks using the web browser based version along with iPhone and iPad apps. Excellent product!
  • The best out there....

    By Briman 2015
TODOIST is the best to-do/organizer out there with all those features that you wondered why other to-do apps don’t have. (Like moving all overdue tasks to today with one click). Also with Gmail interface that allows instant creation of tasks related to emails, forward of emails to Todoist as a task and a whole lot of other features. It’s the only task app I have stayed with and use every day!
  • Simple app, easy tasks

    By Frozenfrank7
I found my life becoming incredibly busy, and I was occasionally forgetting to complete some homework assignments and run some errands. Todoist appeared when I was searching for a app, and it's wonderful! The app is on iOS for my phone, and the web, and a browser extension for good measure. Across all my devices and planning into the future, Todoist does exactly what I need it to: keep track of my life.
  • Glitchy

    By cfsmythe
I love much about this app, but I paid for the premium version months ago and today that disappeared and it is trying to charge me again. iTunes shows that I have a current subscription. Without premium the app is pretty useless to me, and it feels like a ripoff.
