Description

MileIQ automatically tracks and records your mileage in the background as you drive your car for business. MileIQ users save an average of $7,300 per year. Tracking your miles for tax deduction purposes? MileIQ is the easiest most accurate way to create logs that follow IRS mileage standards. Easy to Use. Loaded with Features. Two of the biggest mistakes manual paper log keepers make is not maintaining a contemporaneous mileage log and mixing their business miles with personal miles. Inaccurate record keeping can result in rejected mileage deduction claims and IRS penalties. Automatic Mileage Detection MileIQ creates an accurate, contemporaneous record of the miles you drive for work. Automatic drive detection means no stopping and starting the app. No need for manual paper logs.  Accurate Mileage Tracking Features like Name Your Location and One Swipe Classification give your tax-deductible mileage records the accurate details they need to pass IRS scrutiny. A Custom Fit No matter whether you're tracking miles for reimbursements or tax deductions, MileIQ gives you the tools and flexibility to create mileage record details that reflect the miles you drive. • Personalize each drive with vehicle names, job numbers or any designation that fits your business • Use bulk editing to give groups of drives a single purpose • Use Frequent Drives to auto-classify the drives you make most often • Add drives, delete drives, duplicate drives, and more Making Your Business Mileage Count The 2018 standard IRS mileage rate of 54.5 cents per mile driven for business, 14 cents for charity and 18 cents for medical mileage. MileIQ calculates your largest mileage tax deduction. For example, let’s say you drive 1,000 or 10,000 miles for business using the standard mileage rate of 54.5 cents you’d be entitled to a mileage deduction of $545 or $5,450. Detailed Records of Every Drive A mileage log is only as good as the reports it generates. Stored securely in the cloud, MileIQ sends weekly mileage reports directly to your inbox. Need more specificity, use the web dashboard to generate custom reports.  • 20.9 billion miles logged with MileIQ • 60 million hours saved from manual logging • $2.5 billion in mileage deductions and reimbursements Join Millions of Drivers Who’ve Saved Billions of Dollars using MileIQ Try MileIQ for free. Your first 40 drives are free every month. For a complete record of all your drives upgrade to MileIQ Unlimited for only $5.99/month recurring or $59.99/year recurring. Mileage Logging that Works • Easy. Simple to install and use • Automatic. No stopping and starting the app • Organized. Classify your drives with a swipe • Accurate. Mileage logs that meet IRS mileage deduction standards Battery Consumption MileIQ consumes almost no power when stationary (as it quickly goes to "sleep"), and it will only minimally increase battery consumption when in transit. To achieve this minimal battery usage, MileIQ uses smartly constructed formulas to detect drives rather than only using GPS (which requires more power) for location data. Mile IQ failed to record my drives from Sept 17 through the end of Dec 2018!! It had done great until then but failed me for the last quarter of the year! Very disappointing!!
  • Useful but needs additional features

Easier than manually keeping track of all of your miles, but its drive detection leaves alot to be desired. Its inability to register stops consistently has cost me significant amounts of money and has caused headaches with accounting when trying to charge certain drives to the correct accounts over my time using this app since my company uses it to classify track and reimburse business drives. This could all be solved simply if there was a way to manually end drives and/or break up drives in post processing to add in stops that may not have registered.

All I want is more accurate mileage tracking. Other apps record even foot traffic... I don’t want it that crazy accurate, I just want it to be that level of accurate whenever I connect my phone to Bluetooth so that my car mileage will actually be equal to my recorded mileage. Everything else is awesome, in fact the way I can edit multiple rides on a bundle and look back to see where I was at any point of the day is a stroke of genius. Other apps try to compete by better accuracy, but I believe Microsoft can pull off the perfect accuracy, so I’d rather not leave the useful UI interactions.

The subscription required is worth it. Other apps require a piece of hardware that cost $40, or fees are very overpriced. This is seamless & Intuitive. It knows when I’m driving. I can quickly swipe right, when I’m ready to, for anything business related. This is what you want for simplicity. It works well, no crashing, no issues thus far. Highly recommended. No upfront investment, you get great trial period, and don’t have to buy ridiculous subscription. since they know they have a great product, There is no need to inflate the subscription costs without buying an annual subscription.

This app is easy to use, accurate, and provides great summaries of what type of trip you took and why and where from and where it ended. A wee designed app with good support.

I must admit I dread the idea of keeping track of my mileage. This app makes it about as easy as possible. I’ve tried and failed at a few attempts prior to MileIQ and now I’ve been tracking every single mile for months with ease! Highly recommended.

Love that it auto classify and let’s you name places. Tried quick book app because I wanted to take photos of my receipts but the mileage part was too complicated so I stayed using MileIQ . I would love if you made a reminder feature to tell me to classify after every drive because I never do my drives and by the time I do I already forgot what was business and what wasn’t lol
  • Effortless Mileage Tracking

There are certain apps that make your life so much easier - like Uber - that you smack your head and say “why didn’t I think of that”. Mileage IQ is another one of those apps. While you’re going about your busy day, traveling from appointment to appointment, it’s seamlessly tracking your every trip. I love that you can tap on the locations it shows and it will bring up more detailed location names that you can choose from, to make it even easier to recognize your trips. As much as I love the app, my accountant loves it even more. At the end of the year, I send him the monthly reports, which makes it much easier for him to decide how best to write off my vehicle expense. A few tips I’ll offer up to those of you considering the app or those new to using it. First, definitely let the app notify you of your trips and immediately categorize them, otherwise the quantity of trips will stack up and become overwhelming. Second, use the naming function to make it easier to recognize your trips. Left to its own devices, the app will just give you the name of the town you went to rather than the name of the store or restaurant. Third, shut off the frequent drives/auto function. That way, you can be sure the app doesn’t miss any trips (I’ve yet to see it do that, despite reading in other reviews that it does miss drives on occasion) and its easier for you to track exactly where and when you traveled when you can see all your trips in sequence, from the start to the end of your day. I’m a bit OCD, so I actually like using the notes function in addition the the trip categories to write more details about a particular trip, so I have a record to refer back to if I need it (and more support if questioned by the IRS). Lastly, add in vehicles other than your work vehicle, so you can distinguish between them - or you can just delete the trips that are not in your work vehicle. If you can develop the discipline to immediately categorize your drives, and make the effort to rename your regular trips, this app will make tax time a cinch - and you’ll probably end up with a much bigger deduction.

This app makes life easier when you travel for business daily. Mitch better than the old travel logs.
  • Did not record short trips

I move between 2 offices making 4 trips per day. They are .8 miles apart. This app does not record anything below 1 mile. So it was useless for my use case.

App doesn’t work or isn’t working for me. Keeps making me log-in, goes to Microsoft log-in and then back and forth without actually ever logging in. I don’t get it.

Seriously though! This app is a game changer for anyone tracking mileage for work or taxes. Silly easy to use, it does most of the work for you (once you add in your frequent stops). It’s A+ and sooo worth using!!!

THIS IS ANAGGRIVATING DISASTER! I’ve been trying to activate mileage IQ AS AN APP ON MY IPHONE, I’ve been locked out of the app and wasted 45 mins trying to use it. Every time I’ve tried to sign in to use the app after affirming a new security code it placed me in a loop asking User name Security code It has repeated that loop 10 times with no alternative routes. I’m an architect who has written code, access into the app isn’t capable of assisting anyone as written, you e given me no way out to even contact you for support. Your Microsoft, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I’ve never written a review of an app before, I’m going to slam your entire platform as a joke! No longer a joke on me though, I will never use Microsoft again willingly

I’ve entered my email and password 10x and it keeps bringing me back to the email page. This is the worst app, I will be deleting.
  • Downloaded App but MS sign in hell loop won’t let me use it

    By Chucktown1968
Wasted time with this app when after downloading and entering my Microsoft ID and password it repeatedly looped back through the same process. So frustrated by this, as Microsoft seems to have this issue with a lot of its software. I’m officially turned off. I’ll find another mileage app that actually lets me sign in and use it without wasting my time.

I am a realtor so this is super helpful to keep track of my mileage. I just open the app at the end of the day and swipe one way or the other for personal trips vs business trips. Love it!
  • Not bad

The app is okay but it’s not for everyone, it only takes me five minutes to get to work so it may not be for me. It is probably best for people who specialize in delivery and transportation oriented businesses. If your an taxi driver, big rig operator, or a ride share app driver(Uber and/or lyft) you should get the app.

I thoroughly enjoy this app, I paid for the unlimited drives and it takes the thought out of having to log my miles the old fashioned way. Easily customizable and user friendly! Highly recommend anyone to use and get unlimited drives.
  • Amazing app easy to use

I love this app I use to be an Uber driver doing over 20 hr shifts and having to write down each mileage was a headache. I moved on to a more stable job that still makes me drive a lot. They do reimburse mileage but not the state requirement. With this I am able to track all mileage from my daily commute for my job and make sure I am ready when it comes to tax season. $60 a year for unlimited drives is nothing for me. With in one day the amount I am able to write off is greater then then price of the unlimited. I would definitely recommend this app for anyone who drives a lot of there work sales reps and merchandiser especially since there constantly driving from store to store. They already have to track mileage and send it to there company weekly to get paid but company’s deducted a set of miles before you can get paid that’s money every one is loosing out on yearly. Take back what is rightfully yours for doing your job track and see how many miles you do with just simply driving.

As a Realtor I do a lot of driving. This is the best way to keep track of personal and business mileage. I love seeing the value of my driving. Stay on top of it though, because it’s easy to forget where and why you drive somewhere.

This is a the best app, easy setup, simple use. Once setup it does most of the work and at the end of the day just swipe and confirm if you drive was personal or business. Wish, I knew this app years ago.

I use this app to track all my miles because I commute 2 hrs to school one way. So easy to set up folders and specify where it should go. I also forget to classify my miles a lot but they just remain there until you get to it! If you struggle to remember areas the map let’s you zoom in/out so you can remember is the driver was personal or not. Only thing is that it picks up EVERY drive, even if you’re not driving but I’m really not sure there’s much you can do about that??? Also, it needs a few minutes to log your miles so if you need it immediately... you may not get what you need. But give it I’d say 30 min max (I haven’t needed it immediately to include a drive I just took in LONG time) and it’ll be there.
