  • Addictive

    By Egghead360
I am very impressed with this game and the options available. I spent my entire weekend playing and forgot to be an adult. Only issue so far is that often the screen fails to refocus after an in game window pops up. I then have to close the game out and restart.

Why does everyone hate this game? This is maybe the most modest free-to play game ever. I have never paid a dime on this game and I’ve actually gotten first place in the arena (and I’ve only been playing for 6 months) since WOW is so old and outdated this game is the best I can get. My three complaints however are it’s intense similarity to magic, the difficulty of the Witchwood and Lord Marrowgar in solo adventures and the fact that I love rangers (so hunter in this game) as a class in D&D but he is the most popular class by a long shot, making it annoying to play him as people think of me as -quoting Smosh Games- that annoying guy who plays hunter, otherwise, best game ever!
  • Can’t play

    By Toxicninja528523
I went through the first missions. Then as it tried to get me back on it won’t connect to the Blizzard Services and now I can’t play at all.
  • Overwhelming

    By MugFace
Iv lost 14 straight battles. I absolutely can’t win a battle to save my life. I don’t understand what else I gotta do to build a deck. It’s completely ridiculous, no matter what card I play it gets immediately destroyed... I’m absolutely done playing this game..
  • One heck of a game

    By LeeMac42
While you can play for free, and still have a great fun, I do recommen, buying some packs during each update. The amount of time playing the verse the amount spent will turn penny on hours played. I have played dozens of games and most have been deleted. Hearthstone is the only game that has proven the test of time.
  • Hearthstone

    By popajoku
Love the game I think they should give different types of brawls per week instead of just one like say maybe two or three different ones to choose from instead of just a tavern brawl

    Best game ever
  • Great game .... but two stars only

    By wiredtie
The ONLY reason I’m giving two starts after playing this game for over two years is because I am tired of losing games “due to disconnect”. For anyone who thinks this is my equipment problem .... it most certainly not. This happens whether I’m on my WiFi, somewhere else on WiFi or on LTE. It happens every every day. Sometimes the game reconnects. Sometimes it does not. I’m tired of this nonesense.

Please support the new iPad Pro sizes.
  • Great Game!!!

    By Nolzey32
I have played other card games like MTG before, but this one is different and very fun. I like the class system and the fluidity and quickness of matches. There are a couple problems though. For one, I would like to be able to make more than one deck per class so if I want to make a change I don't have to worry about messing up and losing my old deck. And there is a bug. I play on the new regular iPad, and after I win or lose a game, the whole screen is blurry and not focused. It's a weird issue and I've never heard of anything like this before, but it would be great if I didn't have to completely refresh the app after every match. Besides these though, 5/5!!!
  • 100$ spent so far equals...

    By i2CUCNME
#1.The only way you’ll win is to give more money. The algorithm is set up to drain every cent out of you, before you realize you’ve been robbed. #2.Customer service is non existent. If complain about glitches more than once, you’ll be banned from posting in the forums. #3. When checking reviews before starting this or any app, select most recent, instead of app promoted ‘most helpful’. Then you’ll see the real comments from users about that specific app. If you do this with hearthstone, you’ll see how bad of a cash grab game this truly is. I’m kicking myself for not doin this with hearthstone before giving them one penny. #4. If you decide to play hearthstone and pay, your woman might leave you.

Wouldn’t even load to sign up. Got it for a different game on do this task and get free stuff you know. Did all but couldn’t even log in. Might as well of given me a free Xbox with many games but no cord to plug in. Just don’t get it. It is boring anyway. Trust me, you’ll hate it too. Almost wish I could rate 0 stars.

WHAT IS LUNAR NEW YEAR? THAT'S CHINESE NEW YEAR. Spring festival based on Chinese traditional calendar and Chinese culture, why said lunar new year? Maybe some Korean or Vietnamese going to steal culture again?
  • Love Hearthstone.

    By ReFillzzz
Phenomenal free to play game. Gets you thinking about all the crazy plays you can create. Granted it takes some time to build up your card collection but its well worth the time. Easy to find a buddy to train with and grow. Hell, I still have my very first friend that I added and its amazing to see what kind of decks he came up with. Been playing Hearthstone for 3 years now and many more to come. Watched professional Hearthstone players for 5 years and I can’t get enough of this game. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! For new players who have watched professionals play and don’t want to wait for your card collection to grow and are willing to spend money. Don’t spend a lot of money out of the gate. Thats what I did because I couldn’t wait. I put in $200 but got instantly banned on that account after. Never got my $200 back, requested a refund but never received an email back regarding that situation. I STILL LOVE THE GAME THOUGH!!! and would recommended to other friends.
  • Glitches and lags way too much

    By Pandacorntribe
Sometimes when I’m battling someone the game glitches and keeps a persons turn open even though they ended their turn and stays stuck without letting anyone concede so you have to close the app and reopen it to be told you lost the game which is unfair considering it’s the apps fault for being poorly made. It also doesn’t stay open in the background if you want to look at another app, it just closes off and you have to open it again. Sometimes the app even closes when you just are editing your deck and what not. Terrible.

  • Garbage game

  • Still the King of TCG

    By Joe GUnit
Best game in the App Store hands down. Though it’s had a few setbacks like employee changes, It has maintained it’s lead in the TCG world. The gameplay is wonderfully smooth and fun to watch as your minions animation triggers. The highly competitive aspect is something that I love about the game, but I would like to see more cards in standard play, that they may create more variety in deck building. I would also love it if this game wasn’t so hard to get cards without paying. I’ve paid a fortune and still don’t have many cards, I would of thought I would have all of them with all of the money I spent. Still a 5 star game though.

  • Love this game, but

    By Worldxofxperfect
I am holding 2 stars back until Blizzard starts breaking up updates so wifi isn’t required
  • Please update resolution and fps.

    By Patexum
I love this game, but it doesn't fit on ipad pro 3rd still. And the framerate of this game, why this has only 30fps, and 60+ frames while I'm touching character or sliding card? I can't understand this setting. I want to play hearthstone with high fps. Please update framerate settings.
  • Blizzard knows how to make a game and an interface

    By Wolfie2
A good game is half of the equation when making a good experience. A good game is hell on earth to play if the interface is absolutely atrocious. Props where they’re due to Blizzard for a great game with a great, intuitive interface that needs no tutorial to navigate and is trial-and-error forgiving for anyone who does end up confused. I’ve outright given up on games before because their interfaces were a pain to use. So yeah, the game is fun, keep in mind some pay-to-advance elements balanced out by rewards for avid players, but this is a game I didn’t get sick of looking at or touching whether on my phone, iPad, or PC.
  • If you like card games

    By matsci
I played 1&2 E AD&D, but Magic the Gathering took it away in 1994. I played MTG and it was okay but I hated the disagreements over rules and play. Later electronic iterations eventually overcame this to deliver clean, playable games. Hearthstone is a carefully cultivated card game with a huge player base and gameplay that is simple to enter but that offers considerable depth. The free single player games alone, like Witchwood and Kobold Dungeon or whatever are superior to 99% of all apps, just by themselves. It’s a memory hog but you can play on throttled 4g data, if you know what I mean, because all of the effects are already on your phone. The actual data from pvp is minimal. I detest games that are PvC claiming to be PvP, where you’re playing a computer that’s controlling another player’s PC team. Not interested. Hearthstone is the best I’ve found for a fantasy strategy crossover. I like RTS but not on the phone. There are a lot of ways to win, and I’ve never spent money on this game in 4 years. Just download it. Give it a couple weeks, and play the single player stuff. You shan’t regret it.
  • It takes FOREVER to load

    By AMariaMiles
This game made me so excited. I made all the way through the training missions then made me free profile. But now I can’t do anything because it take 20 minutes to load the screen to sign in. You have to in order to get packs or play with friends and to save your progress. It is literally so frustrating that I threw my phone and then deleted the app.
  • Great dungeons but iPad Pro

    By ninside
Came back to this game. Enjoyed a few dungeons already. Even bought cards packs to make it more enjoyable. But the lack of iPad Pro 3rd gen resolution support makes it harder to enjoy.
  • Still F2P

    By ScaryKoolaod
Look, I will admit I am a bit addicted to this game and that I am not technically totally F2P as I purchased a couple of the now defunct Adventures years ago- but make no mistake for what totals something like $40 over 6 years O have undoubtedly more hours on HS than any other game I have ever played. Why? Because it is now truly a solid CCG that I can play seamlessly on my phone at any time of the day. The early days it was a bit cruddy and boring but the dev team has really stepped up content in the last few years and have created a fairly balanced/healthy meta of a ccg that you can play and do well at for no monetary investment. Heck, right now you can actually be F2P newb and in less than 5 hours craft a Legendary minion that unlocks something like 36 decks for you to play - I did it for my wife so she can now play with legit, semi-competitive decks. Just a great game, still behind MTG in design I think but the divide has gotten more narrow by leagues.
  • No support for new iPad Pro display

    By Go GreenPLZ
Tired of waiting for the iPad Pro display to be optimized. Will not support this game if Blizzard will not support the device I own.
  • Good game

    By whuuuuuuu
It could have a better tutorial but it’s a good game
  • Please fix this bug

    By freeliri
I was scrolling though the App Store and I found this game named harthstone. I had heard of the game because I play overwatch and I knew that Blizzard had created a couple of other games. I new Blizzard makes some pretty decent games so I installed the game. I played thought the tutorial and it was instantly hooked. Then the moment of truth came. I was going to make an account and play online! So I type in my information and it said the following “Sorry we could not process your request right now” I didn’t think much of it and pressed skip making a account but that didn’t work either! I was pretty frustrated but I figured they were working with the servers and tried again 3 hours later. But the same thing happened I was very angry but I figured to try the next day. The same thing happened again. I deleted the game and reinstalled it did the tutorial AGAIN and the same thing happened! 😡 I deleted the game AGAIN and did the same thing I did the second time. And guess what! The same thing happened! Please fix this bug so I can play your game. I use the IPhone 6s .
  • It’s alright.

    By N8 the Pirate
It’s pretty easy to learn the basics of, but unless you’re willing to pay, I would not call it beginner friendly. The game has gotten better in this regard, but I still consider it a weak point.
  • My absolute favorite game for years.

    By hgyv gocy
I just had a daughter so I can still play hearthstone while she sleeps without it being to loud. Also isn’t too involved where I can’t just stop anytime I need to. Thanks blizzard!
  • Easy to learn, $$ to master

    By Rico9971
There are a lot of sets now, many different strategies and ways to earn and craft cards, but you’ll still get smacked down in Ranked without appropriate Legendaries. It’s good that card packs have a ‘consolation mechanic’ where you’ll eventually get a legendary if you keep opening packs of the same set. Quick play, targets brawl and solo missions all add interesting rule sets and diversions, and you won’t get too far in Ranked without learning to use your card economy better and maximizing synergies, but it’s more accessible now for new players with more lower ranks and rewards too. So work on up and build what you can with what you have; you might be surprised how well you do.
  • love this game

    By Champagne.Joshi
only good on computer for some reason it’s stupid laggy on my iphone x. got an answer for me devs?
  • Best card game ever.

    By KennyGLife
I play MTG for over 20 years and this game is still more fun. The randomness and ability to play for free through Arena winnings make this game the best there is.
  • Bad Dev + Rigged

    By KariusVega
Arbitrarily change game. Rigged = metastats.net 50% win rate. 1 Star.
  • Arabic language

    By toxin7
There is no Arabic language in the game. Some Arabic players having a hard time understanding all the wards in the cards
  • Going down hill

    By TheRareFlash
I’ve been playing hearthstone for the past 4 years and have really enjoyed my time spent up until this year. I feel as if the power crunch has become insane and blizzard is floundering which is why they keep nerfing cards. By this rate there is no point in even having a classic set because of how often these nerfs are for classic cards. Not only that but blizzard thinks it’s awesome to release cards with over the top effects making the game insanely unbalanced. I was here for the shutterwock mayhem which was almost the nail in the coffin for me, but the day has finally arrived. with the latest nerfs I give my goodbye to a card game that used to bring me so much joy. It’s still an amazing game, just no longer for me
  • Great game, crash filled update

    By Nostradumbas
Exactly what it says. The game is amazing. Monetization is on par with any other card game out there. But the recent update has made the game crash every time I try and look at my collection so that kinda makes the game unplayable. But hey what can you ask for from a small Indie company /s.
  • Addictive, but sort of rigged.

    By Mooniac
First, the game format is pretty good. It’s very addictive, and you’ll have a hard time not buying more cards. Unfortunately, you will be at a disadvantage when playing others who are on PC or other platforms which allow game aids. You will also be at a big disadvantage against players who have better card collections from the previous year and who bought a lot. Even with superior skill, you’re gonna lose. Then, as if that’s not enough, when they find problems with balance, or just want to change the game, they nerf the common cards that the new players are likely to have rather than the rarer cards actually causing the issues. The result is the guys with better collections get even harder to beat. Apparently, you are going to get your butt handed to you for at least a year unless you spend hundreds of dollars. Wow.
  • Crashes Constantly

    By Lambo1451
Would love to get into this game more in depth, but every time I try to craft, disenchant, or play multiple games in a row the game closes and kicks me off without saving anything. Needs some attention!!!
  • Love it

    By Jurgory
Absolutely Love it!!! Been playing since Beta.
  • Exploitative

    By Clevelander142
HS is an absurdly expensive pay-to-win card game. It encourages children to gamble on card packs, pays only a small fraction of value back on the endless numbers of duplicate cards, and it costs thousands of dollars to obtain a complete standard set - just in time to rotate most of them out. The packs are essentially pay to win loot boxes and should probably be considered an illegal gambling operation targeting children.
