  • Best Habit track app ever

    By sanareview
Despite it requires an annual subscription to save your data, you can use 100% of their functions, and that’s amazing. Great job.

Still trying to cancel my subscription. Getting no help.

  • Essential app for tracking habits, best out of many I’ve used

    By 45magnum
I felt like I had to write an actual review to give this app some more support. Habit tracking apps don’t get nearly the press coverage of todo list apps, document and note apps, cloud storage apps, or even photo filter apps. This is so unfortunate, because tracking your repeated actions and adjusting them, is one of the most powerful ways to shape your life. I think that habits environment and identity are interwoven, and collectively determine the course of our lives. This app is the best I’ve found for tracking repetitions and other important quantities (besides YNAB which I use to budget, and Mynetdiary which I use for calorie tracking). For me there are a few killer features that make Strides stand head and shoulders above all the other habit apps I’ve tried. - The ability to track multiple reps in the same day, which is so crucial for actually shaping the day - A webapp that has mobile and desktop UIs, and allows Strides to be used on any device with a web browser, including my android phone. (If you’ve never tried the webapp, I def suggest you check it out. I actually have come to prefer using the webapp on the iPad because the desktop UI is simultaneously cleaner in some respects, and also easier to work with imo). The only thing you miss it on from the webapp seems to be reminders. Not a big deal for me, as I actually tend to use apps like ticktick (best task/todo list app imo) for reminders. - Tags. I don’t have to say much here, just look at most habit apps and notice that they don’t have a way to easily group and filter habits, other than simple color labels. That’s fine if you have only a few habits, but if you really track a lot of things that are important to your life, sooner or later you will want to group and filter the habits so you can focus on a select few. Love the Strides app, I’ve been a subscriber since I switched to it from habit bull (which I think is the closest to strides, but lacked the tags and the the webapp, but did at least have multi rep tracking and apps for android and iOS, the apps didn’t like to sync across iOS and android for me very well however). Very eager to see if they can add some better views for seeing all habits over the course of the week, and other reporting options.
  • Not blind accessible.

    By JimmyThe Blind
From the description, this app seems like everything I’m looking for. However, it is on usable for me. None of the tabs or buttons are labeled for voiceover. So navigation is nearly impossible. Hopefully they’ll make this app more accessible using the tools provided within iOS.
  • Really really good, but...

    By Sharks6
Updated: Since the developer updated their response to me, I wanted to do the same: - Things did not require a full, brand new purchases when their last version (Things 3) came out in 2017, five years after Things 2 was released. If you had purchased the prior version you received a launch discount. This means I spent $60 for three years of support universally so far (Mac, iPad, iPhone). Saying you’ll spend $100 every few years unless you’re okay with using out of date and unsupported software is dishonest and intentionally vague to make their model look better. Strides would have cost more during the current timeframe alone. - Fantastical 1 came out in 2011, and Fantastical 2 was released in 2015. They both cost $5 for iPhone and $10 for iPad, meaning Strides was once again more for that amount of time. It would have been another $50 for macOS, but still cheaper than Strides as it’s been FOUR YEARS since Fantastical 2 came out. - Things 3 is a full blown, in depth task and project management system. Strides is a habit tracking app. Plenty of habit apps cost much less than Strides as a one time payment, even if they don’t have as many features. To compare Strides to Things is a false equivalency as habit apps are not as complex or necessary as task/project management. I understand your pricing model, as I pay for plenty of subscriptions - for instance, Bear is $15/year for universal device support and does much more than Strides. Thanks for trying to explain everything to me, and best of luck to you as well. However your subscription pricing is beyond agreeable. ———— This app is great, it really is. BUT you're limited to only ten trackers. Okay, if you're a power user then you have to expect to pay for features, and this app is definitely worth money... Just not $5/month or $40/year! Why can't I spend $10-$20 to just unlock the features forever? I know you guys need to make money but no software is worth $40/year, period. Even professional apps only charge once. I'm looking for another app/way to track until the price comes down. Edit: I appreciate a response from you, and taking the time to write up a detailed and thorough explanation. I currently use Things 3, I've purchased OmniFocus, Fantastical 1&2, Scriviner on macOS and iOS.... The list goes on. They don't charge any monthly or yearly subscriptions and have the same features. I don't claim to know a ton about app monetization or running a business, but other apps with just as much (if not more) production value seem to be able to do it. Again, thanks for responding, and I wish you guys the best, but I'm going back to using Persistence (unless you guys make some changes, of course). Thanks again! Second Edit: Can I just say how cool it is, regardless of your opinion on this discussion, that the CEO is actually taking the time to respond to customer reviews in a thoughtful manner? Other devs won't say a word. Kudos for that. I really appreciate it. Shout out to the financial app DashFlow, also made by this company. I am a paying customer to that subscription service.
  • Love it

    By muldar3000
Use it everyday, upgraded to paid version. I track everything from practice time, exercise, my weight and random habits. Once you get a long streak going you will not want to break it.
  • Useful and flexible app

    By LaurenSohee
I love that you can create goals/habits and track them in different ways (by logging yes or no, entering a number, etc). The system is flexible enough for me and notifications pop up just often enough. I do wish the goals would change color or something based on how well I'd been doing them, not just if I'm on track that day. Recommend! Update: It does regularly glitch for me these days—small things like having to tap on something again in order to enter a note, or having things shift onto the wrong day until I close & reopen the app.
  • Love this app!

    By DocHos
I have been struggling to keep up my fitness, my personal, and my family goals. With the help of this app I have been consistent for 50+ days in meeting my goals! I love the Reminders and the way that you can customize how to track your goals. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs help trying to start a new chapter and grow in their life.
  • AMAZING, but a few questions

    By Maybee360
I’d like to start out by saying I am a perfectionist, and I want my schedule to be clean and simple but also organized. This is the app I have been looking for. I can set notifications without it being an alarm. I use it for school and keeping my lifestyle healthy. My only question is, in the photos in the App Store it looks like you can have a checklist of notifications when you open your phone. How can I enable that?
  • Amazing app

    By Balgan
I’ve been using this app last year for my 3 types of improvement. Mentally, physically and financially. Love it always!
  • For the visual people

    By Arantm
Love seeing my progress toward my goals for each thing I am tracking.
  • Intuitive, clear, well-built app

    By Rod Rosa
I have been using this app to track my progress while studying piano and composition. It allows me to set daily and long-term goals, making it extremely easy to stay on track. The paid premium version is absolutely worth it, particularly since it allows the used to sync the data between devices (my iPad and iPhone). I can highly recommend this app to anyone serious about developing their skills and achieving their goals.
  • Great app

    By heyhi32
Love this app and every 5 days it give a great picture!!!
  • Worse With Every Update

    By 1Macman
I've been using Strides for quite a few years and it was a really good app. But over the last year or so, it seems to be getting slower, with every update. It’s so bad that I’m actually considering deleted it. Every time you swipe to check something off or do anything else for that matter, it just hangs. It seems like it’s trying to sync with every single change you make. Other similar apps I have only sync when you are finished and after a certain period of idle time. I’m not sure what they did to the app, but it’s only getting worse and I wish they would fix it.

    By TALON1992
Has been very very helpful for me in developing all sorts of new habits!
  • Best app

    By b1ack_c0de
Love you... Keep it up and bring some new cool features ❤️
  • Best app I’ve found

    By Andrew1234432199
I like to try to accomplish a lot in a given day. I’ve tried a few other apps that mostly just let you customize the look or have some neat hey look at how I’m doing tracker. That’s great if you only care about the accolades of showing off how committed you are to others. But if you want a real app that can track any goal from a daily to a project then this is the real app to use. I can clearly see what my goals are and where I need to focus my attention in the coming months. This app is the only tracking app you need hands down.
  • Life Changing Application

    By Kaizokuda16
If you are ever serious about sticking to your habits and changing your life, you need this application.
  • Fan of this

    By allthenamesaretaken222
Setting up a few different more detailed goals vs general broad ones has really enhanced my experience. I'm digging the way this works.
  • Best Habit App Available

    By David Haley 007
    There's simply NO comparison!
  • Great App

    By Ndnsbskszb11
Looked everywhere for this app. Great app for goals.
  • Pay Them Monthly?? For a task app?

    By Jfarrell1535264
After about 5 minutes it would not let me use the app without paying them monthly or yearly....I understand paying for an app once but I’m not signing up to a subscription service for an app that does what I could do in excel. Bye.
  • Premium is Worth it

    By VegasCross
I was struggling to form all kinds of good habits. Had the app a few years ago, didn’t want to pay for it so used the free version. But then deleted it because I didn’t use it. This year I paid for premium. Now I have buy in. I’m 117 for 117 on making my bed (Read Extreme Ownership for why), having my morning devotional, praying every day, and taking my vitamins. I’m 101 for 117 on waking up on time and exercising (big improvements). It’s also fun to track long term goals and projects. I can see where I am on my basement Remodel, have memorized 58 verses, listened to 19 of 52 audiobooks already, and have done a few of the fun things I have planned out to surprise and love my wife better. I would recommend that people get the app, and commit to making strides every day. I have really been appreciating it.
  • 👍🏼👍🏼

Best habit tracking app I have seen. Worth the subscription!
  • Little App with Big Results

This app helps you stay focused on what’s important to you. 10 goals to work on of your choosing. Simple to use. Results at a tap. Like it a lot. 👍🏽😊💜
  • Simple but effective

Title. Lot of options and customization available. Great for tracking basically any personal goal/habit/project.
  • Great app!

    By shadbh1292
Helps you get habits down. And good meditation music.
  • You are what you consistently do.

    By olafhoff
Strides is providing a point of focus for my "slight edge" habits.
  • Not great

    By Cjmu24
I ha e already been charged for my monthly subscription and can see it has been processed in my bank account. Why when I open the app is it demanding I pay for my subscription again?
  • Only 5-minutes in and I’m already satisfied

    By jlhills14
I am trying to keep track of the number of practice questions I complete, as I prepare for a big exam. Strides already seems like the perfect app to keep me organized and motivated!
  • Very buggy

    By kayjustine13
I like the idea of the app, but it wasn’t user friendly. If I accidentally logged my habit incorrectly, which was easy to do because it’s not clear how you’re supposed to log it, I couldn’t fix it. And after 4 days using it, the app had deleted one of my habits and put up a paywall, and after 5 days it deleted another habit and tried to make me pay!
  • Simple but powerful

    By Poverty Case
This is an excellent tool for trying to instill a desired habit. Haven't tried using it to lose a bad habit, but I'm sure it's equally effective
  • Great habit and task app

    By Bobby3toes
Been using many months now and love it. Had a problem with freezing after an update but developers got me squared away.
  • Love this app

    By Rick swannny
So good for me breaking habits. 46 days sober and I love seeing it in here every day.
  • Helpful!

    By Jods33
This is the first time I’ve been on track with drinking water and exercising. It is motivating and helpful for tracking it.
  • Just okay

    By Fredrick Buford Galaway
Not very intuitive. Does its job okay. I wish you didn’t have to pay for so many features.
  • Small glitch, but seems fixed...

    By jmv198421
I’ve enjoyed this app for awhile now, but last week for whatever reason it started changing my totals on some of my tracking categories and I’m not sure why. This week has seemed better, so I’m hoping it was just a glitch and it’s working fine because this app does help with tracking my habits.
  • Easy to use and great versatility

    By 40s getting fit
I’m loving the app. It is easy to use, offers flexibility with notifications, I love that I can create my own reminder phrases, and it is just what I need to up my game in lots of areas! Thanks for designing this app!

  • Love streaks!

    By ahoward28
It’s fun to reach a habit when you get subtle victories with streaks. I’m still learning the features, but it seems to be great so far!
  • Great app

    By maryna123455
Love this app. Have used it for months at a time to learn new habits.
  • Not working anymore

    By Bubba Suh
I’ve been using this app for over a year and have loved it until recently. Since the last update, I have not been able to open it. When I try to open my tracker, the app just closes. Very disappointed.
