    I have paid for this “App” for more than 6 months and literally every day I have to physical connect the VPN even though auto connect is on regardless of the network. Sweaty dumpster fire.

    Every time i turn around there’s some new privacy policy from you guys. The whole purpose of a VPN is to secure your online activity and keep them private. You guys are collecting user information and selling it to the highest bidder. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I can't wait until my subscription ends.

    I’ve been with the AVAST company since I have had technology and hasn’t let me down yet. This has to be the biggest back stab to date with me. avast SecureMe was a good VPN and understandably removed from the App Store. Thinking that this application would have at least a throttle on a connection for free users I came to this as a last resort and was ultimately let down. I know that at the end of the day there needs to be a profit but at this rate people will be paying $50 a month for air to breathe.

    This app used to work great, never had an issue. Now it doesn’t connect and because it doesn’t connect, I have issues using other apps. I am so disappointed as I have to remove it and add it back on every day, it won’t work if I don’t have an internet connection and I have the cellular data active. I’ve paid for this thru 9/2021 and now can’t use it. Very frustrating!!

    iPhone SE / iOS v12.1 / 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ SecureLine v5.0.6 (legacy review) review updated on: [ 02/12/2019 ] The device is running a legacy, version (SL-v5.0.6), of this app and I haven’t found (or had), any serious issues (the cost is lame), with this app’s functionality. So what requires me to update it? I am changing my rating (bummer!), to 3 stars. For example: you cannot use the Funimation (Streams Anime) app when connected to a Japanese Servers, for example… (curious no?) I felt I may have been a bit overconfident, in rating this VPN service and would like to see some more STREAMING / P2P servers, more locales on here, and how about a less conspicuous company and server name? I noticed these issues (awhile ago), when I attempted to use certain apps/services (even if everything is set to über anonymous/private). The listed IP/Domain: ff.avast.xxxxx.xxx [etc.] (+company/country code/IP), is a bit on the nose, isn’t it? While it’s better than having my true IP/ISP listed (gps still rats you out), it still makes me feel a bit nervous, when you do some cursory research and test certain applications. Domestic (local/regional), apps can’t be utilized when you are connected to a foreign VPN. Also, if you connect to Japan (for example), and then trace the address to a psychical locale it is a government building (big brother)! Protecting our identities is [very] important, in this digital age, but utilizing, “Senpai’s” computer network does make me feel a bit paranoid! If they knew how much anime I enjoyed, they’d think I’m full blown “hakiku mori,” or a crazed Otaku! All joking aside… I’m going to test out this app as much as I can and simply report on what I discover. It’d be nice if the app’s subscription fees were a little bit cheaper! May I suggest a special 2yr/2 device plan? I feel like some people won’t even fully utilize their 1yr/5 device plan. The fact that it “looks,” like it’s reasonably priced and “worth,” the cost is not entirely enticing to me! Can you at least add more services? If you guys had a bundle of: AVS/SL-VPN/Cleaner (1-2yrs/2-5 devices), PC/MAC, then the service would be more enjoyable. Enough of my ramblings! Learn to configure it before you start harping on the Devs. 5 Stars! -------------Old Review------------ Perfect App is v4.3.2 ** ( 4⭐️ ) Barely disconnects, decent D/L & U/L speeds and if it does disconnect it reconnects immediately. Recommend getting the iOS only license for your phone and download the *.dmg from their website, not the App Store for your MAC, to avoid any issues. I never had any issues with this app and never updated this app after v4.3.2 and I'm using an iPhone SE (iOS v10.3.3). Since I never had issues with this app, I didn't see the need to update it. I will test the app's update after I backup my device. If the update is unreliable, then all these poor reviews are justified and doesn't make me feel very confident and if the MAC's App Store version is anything to go by, then it's not worth it. So far (for me), it's a 4 Star app. Let's see how it works after I update it.

    I love Avast Premium on my computer, not one problem, but this VPN has only worked off and on for the past year or two. When connecting to WiFi, it connects and disconnects over and over making WiFi connection impossible. It will be fixed one update and back to unfixed the next, I will not renew this VPN when it comes up for renewal. I’m sorry but enough is enough.

    I have ATT internet but am switching to Spectrum. No problem using VPN app while I was an ATT subscriber. Instead of an ATT modem-router combo, I bought my own router to go with the Spectrum modem to avoid rental fees. That is where my troubles began. I could not get the Netgear app to work on my iPad and one suggestion was that VPN could interfere. I ended up switching to a Linksys router. I was able to connect the Linksys app after setting up my account on my laptop, but my internet connection became a problem. I kept getting disconnected. So, I deleted the Avast VPN app on one iPad. No problem connecting on that one. Since I still have ATT, I connected to the internet on my other iPad using ATT and went into the Avast app. I disconnected the “connect automatically when not on a trusted network” feature and was able to connect to the internet again. Then I decided to add the Linksys router to my trusted networks. So far it is working. I went into copious detail so maybe people with more technical knowledge can figure this out. I am not sure if the problem is with Spectrum’s internet settings, the change to a separate router and modem, the app or what. BTW, initially the Spectrum connection worked, then it stopped working later in the day. I may end up manually connecting the VPN if my solution does not continue to work, something I can live with.

    I’ve been a PAID subscriber for 3 years, my husband and I. VPN no longer works as previously, insisting that I remove a trusted WiFi from the network to use the VPN. It’s now useless to me. No, I will not. I have also gotten renewal notifications, which is bogus. I still have my 1-22-18 Renewal Receipt for $21.21 from Apple. I’m suppose to connected through 1-22-19. Not good!

    The updates seem to never really solve the biggest problems. This app, which I have paid for the last two years, frequently drops the connection to the server and does not reconnect. It doesn’t notify you either. I suddenly realize on public WiFi or at home that suddenly I’m no longer connected to my VPN. Happens during active use or idle periods. Additionally, every couple weeks or so it will say that it has to reinstall the VPN profile out of the blue. Closing the app and relaunching sometimes fixes this. Very annoying especially when your connection is no longer secure. Sometimes it asks to reinstall the VPN profile back to back to back even with a reboot of my phone. IPhone 10 and 6+ have identical problems running this app. I’m going to start looking for a better VPN service before my next years payment. Time to do some homework and hope to not deal with the same frustration with other providers. I’m even willing to pay significantly more elsewhere just not to be frustrated so often. I have other apps from Avast that work flawlessly so why can’t they get it together with SecureLine?

    it was working perfectly for around 2 months, after that it just stop working. it says “reconnecting “ and it never does, later an error pops up “the vpn server did not respond” . i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn’t work. sometimes it works when i use my cellular data. the support is very poor.

    The last update, make the app broken and stop work without reason. Every time shows the message to tap the fingers ou authentication when we changing the country. ( will change the VPN solution). For a pay and expensive solution not a great option anymore. My warning is solve this issues... fast...

    I’m paying $7.99/mo but it’s not connecting ALL Products & Constantly Disconnects, I’m totally HACKED and now they have my IMEI/MEID and I’m forced to get a New IPHONE ....No Response from the Developer and I can’t even get into my own Gmail, Facebook & Instant Messenger . I sent an email as I was told it covers WiFi as well as just Cellular Use without WiFi NOT TRUE plus When I was HACKED I lost ALL Pics of family members who passed away as well as my sons Graduation!! What am I actually getting for $7.99/mo when I only have 1 device ?

    Well i bought a license for my PC and it worked great so i went for another subscription for my iPhone and it sucked , tried reinstalling profile and the software and still bad , BTW i am connected to the same wifi and now i am sharing my vpn internet from my PC to my phone Update , works great now

    Not everyone needs to be man’splained when the code is crap and/or has bugs in it. It is THEIR fault AND PROBLEM that the app is saying I have reached my expiry date TWO YEARS IN THE FUTURE and not some ‘Silent Update’. What the hell is that? Has anyone had a loud one? Is it like breaking wind?! Tell me THE TRUTH - that you have an issue with the app NOT TREAT ME LIKE IT’S MY FAULT. I have touted Avast for many years even when teaching my college computer classes but this has me rethinking whether they are that good anymore.

    I was just trying to activate my free trial, then I accidentally payed for a year. Luckily the payment didn’t go through immediately and I was able to cancel it but I feel like it should be harder to buy a subscription (I did and didn’t even mean to). The trial works but I won’t be using this after my trial ends. Wack

    I’m done, tired of constantly disconnecting. Only thing they can for sure connect to is my bank account each month for their money. I want what I pay for too. I have already removed all their anti virus and pc cleanups etc from my computers this month. As soon as I close this review, I’m looking for a new vpn immediately. Gave them 4 months to get it together. I will always overlook this company from now on.

    VPN worked great for months on my PC and IPhone 6s. Then IPhone VPN just suddenly cuts off intermittently. Called Verizon Avast and Apple. No help. Removed the app from my IPhone 6s. Now I have to call Avast again and hope they can help me get it back on the phone.

    I’m not sure if this product works or not but I don’t like the way they do business. It says "free download!" all over the place, but to actually use it you have to agree to a yearly subscription right off the bat. They automatically charges you after 7days. I know a lot of companies do this, but I feel it is misleading and sneaky. Do you really want to have your security handled by a sneaky company? Not me.

    Does not work worth a (&;&: for iPhone. Constantly asking me to reinstall vpn profile then says it is connected when it is actually NOT connected (verified multiple times). If it isn’t doing this, the internet connection is just completely blocked with no internet connection when it says connected. I asked for a refund but they could not find my account even though I received emails from there when I signed up. Now I am just ignored by them after paying for a year subscription. Beware!

    Recently another VPN flagged a security breach when this VPN was in use, then my bank app flagged it as well. Upon a deeper look all the privacy offered was being shared with MULTIPLE entities including Google. What I thought was a protective product turned out to be a collection mechanism to share my data with others. Check it out yourself, I STRONGLY DISTRUST THIS APP AND THE DEVELOPERS.

    When I first purchased this vpn it was connecting fine and fast but ever since the two updates it’s very lousy it keeps disconnecting every now and then and sometimes fails to connect and keeps blinkering it’s impossible to connect on mobile data too I only use it on WiFi am disappointed

    I had this on my phone for about 3 weeks, it would constantly be “connecting” and when I would choose to disable the VPN it would automatically reactivate after a few seconds. This problem has made my only solution to be to uninstall the app. I would say about 10 times a day the VPN would be endlessly reconnecting rendering my internet usage impossible. I don’t recommend this app until this is fixed.

    The last update scrambled my iPad like a virus. If I try to connect VPN, it turns of my wireless connection. Checked for viruses - no dice. It started right after I downloaded last update. So now I can't use Avast VPN at all. Pisses me off.

    Super slow Internet speeds would be the first concern... but I purchased a multi year subscription for my primary laptop, and now to renew just an iPad subscription which I personally purchased separately they want me to pay $60 a year just for one iPad even though I’ve already paid for the computer? That’s $120 year. The service department is brutally incompetent... i’m moving over to TunnelBear idiots. This isn’t a fast service anyway it’s rather pokey.

    Having use this product for number of years, I was surprised to find out that I had issues when I purchased a new IPhone X. Their customer/technical support was unable to resolve my concerns and problems. I had no choice but to go with another product. The kicker is I had over a year remaining on my original subscription and customer service is refusing to refund even a portion of that amount.
