  • How do you master a level?

    By jame915
How do you master a level? How many times do you need to answer the questions correctly? My daughter has been working on it for months and I have tried for over an hour, not getting any advancements with having the correct answers in the correct time.

  • Terrible user management

    By Arthur Digby Sellars
Had to reset my device, and even though I’d logged in previously using a Google ID, none of the information was retained. Now have to track down a pin or some other sheet from the teacher, which won’t happen, so this is a useless download now. Hello - parents are the busiest people out there. Maybe make this easier??

  • Wish I had purchased flash cards instead.

    By 3lttlbirds
I never would have purchased this app except for my kid bringing home an enrollment form from school. I feel like it was heavily marketed towards the school and then sold to me as a good idea for my kindergartener. My 5 year old loves math and is doing well in class. It is developmentally normal for a kid this age to count on fingers or use other physical objects to solve for addition and subtraction problems. With this app she has to set down the phone to check her answer on her fingers, pick up the phone to select the answer and try not to accidentally touch the wrong # from the cluster on the screen. Add the annoying countdown timer clicking like a metronome the whole time and my kid was a balling mess of angry tears in minutes. The format would be fine for an older kid. But even if your kinder kid is ready to practice for speed and accuracy I would recommend good old fashioned flash cards. I’m bothered that I was pressured to spend $5 on this app by our school and I feel like the developers shouldn’t be marketing it for 5 year olds if they don’t understand age appropriate needs.
  • Great App!

By β€’ Amara Is Very Pink β€’
Hello! I started using this app in 3rd grade and it was boring and useless to me. I still didn’t know multiplication very well nor division. But, after the next few years, I became great! At first it may seem boring and stressful, but once you get used to it, it’s exciting and fun! However, I do have a cool suggestion! I think you should add themes to XtraMath. Such as like a magic theme, space theme, or even different colors for the layout! But I think there should also be a way in Settings to have no layout if your student/child would be distracted by it. It would be a fun idea though!
  • Boring

    By Soccer Father
Whenever I do XtraMath it always says u are not signed in. This app doesn’t teach anything. It’s basically a stupid app for stupid people.
  • Nice

I’m all all ready on division.
  • It’s okay

    By ghuvhvvgcrcyvhbuvtfexybnuhuvt
I use the app for school and it does help a little bit even though I already know the multiplication and division facts.

  • Don’t Waste Your Money!

They will keep asking you to log in and change password until you forget your account! The Forgot password feature does NOT even work. Why the F am I paying for this stupid App so that I have to sign in every every times my kid needs to use it? NOT Happy!

When you do bad on the progress quiz you do more problems and it’s unfair to kids
  • Crappy game

    By clevefox
This game is bad. This is why I hate math at school.I HAVE THIS AT SCHOOL and I agree with the person that said that their daughter liked math but than hated it because all of this crap.
  • 1st grader

    By SDesi
My 1st grader enjoys practicing with it and particularly likes the β€žrace the teacherβ€œ feature. As a parent I appreciate the clean layout and advertisement free app to help kids focus.
  • Over priced...

    By Jlabramsey2004!
It’s very basic. For $5? I’ve had cheaper or better yet, free apps that were better than this.

  • Choose online

    By Drummerbrin
Great for learning math. However, the app looks exactly the way it does online not using the app. I would save the $4.99 and login through the website. One is not better or more convenient then the other. Also the app will allow you to have the device horizontally, where online using a tablet or phone you can turn in horizontally or vertically.
  • Why

    By kid whos mad
This game never gives me time
  • Pitiful App

    By Homerunking44
My daughter's class uses this on the desktop computers at school (and ours at home) just fine. I've loaded the app on my iPad so she can use it on the go. Well, I have reinstalled it twice and this pitiful app isn't working. You can see half of the screen and hear the man talking, but that's it! Save your money - there is nothing but frustration you will get from this piece of junk app!
  • This has a bad score when you go on the quiz

    By Xtramathsux
If you try and pass the second time which is division you can’t get any wrong and on top of that you have to go fast like sonic the hedgehog so this is a terrible app
  • Awesome

    By sistershark
Super fun to play I am in 3rd and it some times I a bit hard so I got this game and now I love it !!!!!πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ five stars 🌟
  • Xtra math more like xtra STRESSFUL

    By Crazy Trixie
I hate it so much. I’m so stressed. (Response to developer)and we can’t seem to find out how to.
  • Bad

    By Lkr28
Love how a 5 star rating AFTER my initial 1 star made it in but my rating did not. This app is a confidence destroyer. Well it only too 4 months for a developer to reply with a β€œwhat can we do to make it better”... It is too easy to fat finger the wrong answer and although my son knows the right answer it shows like he does not because as soon as a miss type happens it locks in that it is a wrong answer. My son had his addition math facts down on paper a couple months ago but in here it still shows he does not. Need to be able to back space to correct an answer and need more time as 3 seconds is not enough for a kids if he does not key perfectly.
  • Forced to Sign in every time

    By Stapati
The app does not remember your logged in state and forces the user to sign in every time. Remember me does not work, tons of bugs for a paid app. Totally a waste of money, it’s much easier to use the free version on browser.
  • Speed tool only

    By TheGreenwichGirl
This app doesn’t teach anything but speed. It’s how to learn by rote. It counts the number of questions answered correctly in a row, not the number answered. As if we or anyone gives a mouse tooth how many in a row are answered, rather than the degree of accuracy overall. The app in general fosters incredible anxiety. My 1st grader gets all the questions right, but goes to pieces in the beat the teacher section. When she accidentally presses 11 instead of 10 because she’s trying to beat the clock, she wails, β€œI’m terrible at math!” This app is a source of misery in our household. Frankly, the only source of misery. I wish the designers had to listen to my daughter’s anguish. I wish the program allowed for tracking progress without tears. Why is my 1st grader being asked to race the teacher, anyway? Isn’t it enough to race her peers? I give this app a C+ for content (as a math timer) and a D- for quality of design aesthetic.
  • HATE

    By cool Rea
I hate this app I only do it because my mom makes me I am under so much pressure when I do it I do not like this app at all. It’s a better app now that I changed it to 6 seconds but I still HATE doing it thank you for reading this
  • Bad

    By #############$&*!
Bad. Really bad. If I could zero stars.
  • 3 second response time is absurd

    By herodotus2
The developers who created his app refuse to allow parents the ability to change the response time. Their arrogance leads to unnecessary frustration with children. I strongly recommend you DO NOT use this app with children until they provide a way to change the timer value. It will frustrate the child and turn them off of math. my child now refuses to use to app because this timer issue the developers are beyond arrogant they are incompetent and hide behind the statement β€œresearch has shown” but they can’t provide any peer reviewed research. why because it doesn’t exist. they made up of a number and they will not let us change it. don’t waste your money on the app. it’s junk
  • Uninstall this game

    By funn people
If you have xtramath ,please do not keep it.Reasons: 1.It’s so boring.I had this game for 3 months and it is so bad. 2.It’s so lame. 3.You can’t make it fun. So if you have this game, uninstall it now!
  • Not showing properly on iPad Pro 11”

    By tqwrrty
Layout needs updating for this size. Bottom of the app showing at the top of the screen. As such, application unusable.
  • The easiest and most efficient way for kids to gain essential math skills!

    By MayD1221
Our school recommended kids to do Xtra Math and I am so happy that they did. Whenever my son asks for iPad to play games, I will ask him to do Xtra Math and then he gets to play. At first, he resisted but it only takes 5 min. so, I guess he realized he would just do it. He got frustrated first and every beginning of new segments but I told him, he would do better next time and he did. The key is to do it everyday, just 5 min.
  • Xtra Math is a helpful app

    By Eastern2018
My daughter is enjoying the app. It’s definitely challenging for her but it has improved her grades. I love that it’s a person there talking. Thumbs up to this app
  • Nightmare

    By Wbh441
Luckily this app is required for my child curriculum. The app cost $5. And deletes itself from the pad after use. Nightmare to have to have to download the app and rework the sign-up info every time.
  • Fun,encouraging, and helpful

By Rudolph the red nosed giraffe
I am always excited to log back on because when ever you get something wrong they don’t give you a hard time, and Mr.C is very nice and encouraging and has helped me out a lot! I’m assigned this for homework everyday but it is more like homefunπŸ€—! Two thumbs up!!!!πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
  • Convinient but temperamental

    By MrsDazz
I love the convenience of this app! My kids are able to get there homework done while we’re out. Or they can use the iPad instead of sitting at the desk. But my kids biggest complaint is that they often get answers wrong because when pressing the number keys the app thinks they pressed another number key. So they often opt for using the computer so they don’t get incorrect answers. Really wish this would be corrected.
  • Doesn’t render correctly on iPad

This app fails to display on iPad, making this a blocking bug on ipad
  • Ew

  • Great math practice

    By ashpag
My daughter struggles in her math, but not enough to receive extra help at school, I’ve seen her math skills improve after using this app. I like that it’s no frills and the β€œreward” is getting a correct answer and not something happening on the screen. In real life, things don’t explode or jump out at you when you succeed.
  • ARGHHH 😀

    By posp#jkjguuhwkksj
This is so boring can u at least make it fun!? Like make it like an animals ina cage and it’s more colorful and do math to free animals so kids will at least like it

  • Do not buy this

When I started it was easy but at the progress quiz hoes faster then 1 second and I was at 99 percent on subtraction then I did good on the progress quiz but it brought me down to 89 percent
  • Love this app. I recommend it for all elementary school kids

    By ΰ€ͺΰ€°ΰ₯‡ΰ€Ά
Mathematics has been around for thousands of years. Every civilization since cavemen has practiced, taught and enhanced humanity using math. This app won’t make you mathematician genius, but in this day and digital age, where even infant interacts and learn from digital media and devices, this XtraMath app is an excellent tool/app for any kid till they perfect their basic addition, subtraction multiplication and division skills. It’s the daily practice of doing it in every day till it becomes part of your DNA is the best part of it. Help your kids with good tool/app like this. Try it and you’ll see the difference in your kids abilities to do quick math.
