  • Pitiful App

    By Homerunking44
My daughter's class uses this on the desktop computers at school (and ours at home) just fine. I've loaded the app on my iPad so she can use it on the go. Well, I have reinstalled it twice and this pitiful app isn't working. You can see half of the screen and hear the man talking, but that's it! Save your money - there is nothing but frustration you will get from this piece of junk app!
  • This has a bad score when you go on the quiz

    By Xtramathsux
If you try and pass the second time which is division you can’t get any wrong and on top of that you have to go fast like sonic the hedgehog so this is a terrible app
  • Awesome

    By sistershark

  • Xtra math more like xtra STRESSFUL

    By Crazy Trixie
I hate it so much. I’m so stressed. (Response to developer)and we can’t seem to find out how to.
  • Bad

    By Lkr28
Love how a 5 star rating AFTER my initial 1 star made it in but my rating did not. This app is a confidence destroyer. Well it only too 4 months for a developer to reply with a “what can we do to make it better”... It is too easy to fat finger the wrong answer and although my son knows the right answer it shows like he does not because as soon as a miss type happens it locks in that it is a wrong answer. My son had his addition math facts down on paper a couple months ago but in here it still shows he does not. Need to be able to back space to correct an answer and need more time as 3 seconds is not enough for a kids if he does not key perfectly.
  • Forced to Sign in every time

    By Stapati
The app does not remember your logged in state and forces the user to sign in every time. Remember me does not work, tons of bugs for a paid app. Totally a waste of money, it’s much easier to use the free version on browser.
  • Speed tool only

    By TheGreenwichGirl
This app doesn’t teach anything but speed. It’s how to learn by rote. It counts the number of questions answered correctly in a row, not the number answered. As if we or anyone gives a mouse tooth how many in a row are answered, rather than the degree of accuracy overall. The app in general fosters incredible anxiety. My 1st grader gets all the questions right, but goes to pieces in the beat the teacher section. When she accidentally presses 11 instead of 10 because she’s trying to beat the clock, she wails, “I’m terrible at math!” This app is a source of misery in our household. Frankly, the only source of misery. I wish the designers had to listen to my daughter’s anguish. I wish the program allowed for tracking progress without tears. Why is my 1st grader being asked to race the teacher, anyway? Isn’t it enough to race her peers? I give this app a C+ for content (as a math timer) and a D- for quality of design aesthetic.
  • HATE

    By cool Rea
I hate this app I only do it because my mom makes me I am under so much pressure when I do it I do not like this app at all. It’s a better app now that I changed it to 6 seconds but I still HATE doing it thank you for reading this
  • Bad

    By #############$&*!
Bad. Really bad. If I could zero stars.
  • 3 second response time is absurd

    By herodotus2
The developers who created his app refuse to allow parents the ability to change the response time. Their arrogance leads to unnecessary frustration with children. I strongly recommend you DO NOT use this app with children until they provide a way to change the timer value. It will frustrate the child and turn them off of math. my child now refuses to use to app because this timer issue the developers are beyond arrogant they are incompetent and hide behind the statement “research has shown” but they can’t provide any peer reviewed research. why because it doesn’t exist. they made up of a number and they will not let us change it. don’t waste your money on the app. it’s junk
  • Uninstall this game

    By funn people
If you have xtramath ,please do not keep it.Reasons: 1.It’s so boring.I had this game for 3 months and it is so bad. 2.It’s so lame. 3.You can’t make it fun. So if you have this game, uninstall it now!
  • Not showing properly on iPad Pro 11”

    By tqwrrty
Layout needs updating for this size. Bottom of the app showing at the top of the screen. As such, application unusable.
  • The easiest and most efficient way for kids to gain essential math skills!

    By MayD1221
Our school recommended kids to do Xtra Math and I am so happy that they did. Whenever my son asks for iPad to play games, I will ask him to do Xtra Math and then he gets to play. At first, he resisted but it only takes 5 min. so, I guess he realized he would just do it. He got frustrated first and every beginning of new segments but I told him, he would do better next time and he did. The key is to do it everyday, just 5 min.
  • Xtra Math is a helpful app

    By Eastern2018
My daughter is enjoying the app. It’s definitely challenging for her but it has improved her grades. I love that it’s a person there talking. Thumbs up to this app
  • Nightmare

    By Wbh441
Luckily this app is required for my child curriculum. The app cost $5. And deletes itself from the pad after use. Nightmare to have to have to download the app and rework the sign-up info every time.
  • Fun,encouraging, and helpful

By Rudolph the red nosed giraffe
I am always excited to log back on because when ever you get something wrong they don’t give you a hard time, and Mr.C is very nice and encouraging and has helped me out a lot! I’m assigned this for homework everyday but it is more like homefun🤗! Two thumbs up!!!!👍🏼👍🏼
  • Convinient but temperamental

    By MrsDazz
I love the convenience of this app! My kids are able to get there homework done while we’re out. Or they can use the iPad instead of sitting at the desk. But my kids biggest complaint is that they often get answers wrong because when pressing the number keys the app thinks they pressed another number key. So they often opt for using the computer so they don’t get incorrect answers. Really wish this would be corrected.
  • Doesn’t render correctly on iPad

    By quigley0
This app fails to display on iPad, making this a blocking bug on ipad

  • Great math practice

    By ashpag
My daughter struggles in her math, but not enough to receive extra help at school, I’ve seen her math skills improve after using this app. I like that it’s no frills and the “reward” is getting a correct answer and not something happening on the screen. In real life, things don’t explode or jump out at you when you succeed.
  • ARGHHH 😤

    By posp#jkjguuhwkksj
This is so boring can u at least make it fun!? Like make it like an animals ina cage and it’s more colorful and do math to free animals so kids will at least like it

  • Do not buy this

    By I hate Xtra Math
When I started it was easy but at the progress quiz hoes faster then 1 second and I was at 99 percent on subtraction then I did good on the progress quiz but it brought me down to 89 percent
  • Love this app. I recommend it for all elementary school kids

    By परेश
Mathematics has been around for thousands of years. Every civilization since cavemen has practiced, taught and enhanced humanity using math. This app won’t make you mathematician genius, but in this day and digital age, where even infant interacts and learn from digital media and devices, this XtraMath app is an excellent tool/app for any kid till they perfect their basic addition, subtraction multiplication and division skills. It’s the daily practice of doing it in every day till it becomes part of your DNA is the best part of it. Help your kids with good tool/app like this. Try it and you’ll see the difference in your kids abilities to do quick math.
  • Annoying

    By The app rater man
XtraMath can be helpful but annoying. The progress quiz the ticking is weird. When I do RACE THE TEACHER the next day I do the progress quiz my score reflects my race the teacher. But I do not like the Custom Program. My goodbyes.
  • Bad

    By Dragonzi06
I am a kid I love math butt this app makes me hate it I can do the quick maths sorry about some of my bad spelling
  • 0 stars if I could!

    By Asreils
I know I am a child but still I hate the race the teacher because it makes my mind race and can’t think, also I am 5th grade so why should I start at adding! I think this is a terrible app and should be removed, also the teacher only gives you 3 seconds to think in the “race the teacher” mode which is not enough time to compel the numbers on screen! I think teachers should never use it ever!
  • EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By Readnread
I used to hate math But then I started doing this all the time after my teacher show me it’s a very educational/phone game for kids
  • I hate this app

    By Big boy (Sh1ft)
It wouldn’t even let me Click the number when I missed it by a little. And I used to love math before this stupid game hopefully you are very sad on what you did on making this game I think you shouldn’t of made it in the first place and it tells you to memorize it in stead of showing you how you can solve it by showing your work. This is the worst game ever hopefully you hear me out and make it better have a good day and don’t buy this stupid bad game
  • Do I have to do this?

    By Awesomefacekkkk
    That’s wut I wonder
  • Pay to use the website??!

    By Alliekat89
I can't believe I just spent $5 for the app to take me right back to the website that I already had for free.
  • Zero stars if I could

  • Great app

    By Runningmamawith2kids
My daughter has been using this app for 2 years now with her school. I read some other parents reviews stating that their child had anxiety when the program would start. We had that at first, yes, but when I noticed it, I explained to my child that not only is it trying to get you to memorize your math facts, but if you do not know the fact, it shows you the answer to teach it to you. After she knew that, she wasn’t stressed. And if you use the app on a regular basis, your child will learn their facts quickly! And yes, it is seeing how quickly your child can answer these facts, because in school their teachers have to check that too. Parents, you should remember this back from elementary school. The only thing different is your child can use a computer and see if the answer is correct right away vs. you having to use your paper and pencil and not knowing right away if your answer was correct or not. Love the app 😍 can’t wait for my other 2 kids to get older to start using it!
  • Best practice out there!

    By Mrs Shafer
My students love this program. They have mastered all their math facts and want me to reset their accounts so they can start again!

  • Wonderful Tool

    By JaiSedIt
This app was provided free by my son’s school with instructions to use once daily. It took him 6 months to master +, -, x, \. After each set is completed, a certificate is awarded, which is a nice touch. Takes the stress off parents, no flash cards required, and can be done anywhere at anytime. I couldn’t appreciate it more.
  • I hate It!

By 123 I teach for food
I hate it because the numbers are like the iPad password numbers and I hate being tired and you don't get to regroup!!
  • crap

Crap that’s all I got to say
  • Excellent app

My son is in K.. this has helped very much.. he does practice in others apps.. but does this every day to check the progress.
  • Bad math

    To hard should teach better
  • This is a terrible program

    By allizing
I was super excited when we got the note home about XtraMath... We have been using it for two months and it has no benefit. You begin each lesson with a progress quiz, followed by two race the teacher quizzes. This is the part that is very discouraging. Not all children perform well under pressure of a timer. There needs to more practice time and less racing. We do it everyday because it is required by our child’s school. I regret buying the app. Utilize it for free and don’t give this company a dime.
  • Awesome!

    By Tail's the fox
Ok, I’m not a teenager or an adult. But this is for thanking you guys. I’m Victoria G. Green. Which you might know. Thanks so much, this is really helping me. Even for fact fluency, thank you developers for creating this! No haters! :3
  • Excellent app for 3rd grader

    By Piezoo1123
This has been a great app that helped my daughter advance beyond performing math on her fingers. Highly recommend for building math abilities.
  • Stress and "becoming smart"

    By It's smarty pants
I am actually a 6th grader and does this program. I learned in my years that becoming fast in math doesn't make you smart. There was a mathematician who was the slowest person in his math class and thought he was dumb but taking your time and learning from it is the best way to grow neurons. Also stress can give you anxiety when doing this. I actually recommend that you do st math or khan academy. Gives them time to think.
  • Pretty good, but...

    By Gems....
I love this app, mint helps me with my basic math, the design is amazing and it doesn't freeze! But I used to use this on my mom computer and after I used it, it was super laggy after. My moms computer is the only thing that pays the bills, it almost crashed, and I'm 100% sure it was XtraMath who caused the virus, same with my dads laptop, it's also the thing that pays the bills, it's his JOB AND LIFE. I tried it out on his laptop because it wasn't working on my moms computer anymore, after I used it on the laptop, it did the same, it was super laggy and almost crashed. This app has a virus I'm pretty sure. That's not the only thing, when I tried to log into my iPad (the only thing that hasn't almost crashed so far) it kept on saying my name was wrong, I don't get this and think this should be fixed if XtraMath is reading this, but accept that, pretty decent -Sarah Whinnery
  • Anxiety, fear, competition-find another way to teach

    By rsquires-99
This app is inappropriate and is a lazy teachers way to force repetition. It kills confidence, causes anxiety and scores the child with big red x’s, green checks or smiley faces. To make things worse, it gives you a ding (just like a slot machine) for a correct answer and a loud buzzer for an incorrect answer. I am really rethinking my child’s education if this is how the curriculum is practiced.
  • I wish there is 0 star so I can rate this trash app with zero.

    By dontliketrashapp
What made me mad is that you have to agree to the consent let xtramath use your child's data, otherwise you are not able to use the app even you already paid. So why don't you tell us before we buy it? I am curious which moron developed this app? Xtramath you have no right to get any data from my child even you declared that you don't sell info. I am open to discuss this issue publicly. To all parents, save money and don't waste time on this trash app.
