  • Doesn’t block much.

    By DstarrB
    Won’t waste my money again.
  • Terrible

    By Audrey's Desktop
This app is not working for me I have already payed for the membership and there is no one you can call for assistance
  • An App worth having

    By rkiliansmith
This app has saved so much time by helping me avoid robo calls and other potential scam and fraud calls. I can block them and share with others by case. The numbers that are important will show as identified verified numbers. A definite must in today’s digital phone arena.
  • Had issues receiving calls

    By Terri23322
I have been using Hiya for several years with no issues. I noticed a few days ago when my husband and daughter would call me, the call went directly to voicemail. I reseated the SIM card, reset the phone, reset network settings. Made sure phone was not in Do Not Disturb mode and they were not blocked. Deleted Hiya and I was able to receive calls.
  • Just okay

    By amylou61
This app used to give more information about who calls me, but now they just show that there’s more information IF I upgrade to the Paid app.
  • Don’t buy membership

    By 111444333222
It is not worth it. It still just comes up with no information. I joined hoping it would do better. Nope. Same old unknown.
  • Tantalizing

    By tles99
Requires premium to identify caller to verify that it is scam. Must type on phone number by hand.
  • Paying for premium

    By Lemonade daze
Maybe about 2 out of 10 unknown calls can it identify . Just as good as the free addition. Very disappointed in this.
  • Not working properly

    By JimmyBear217
Bought this app hoping that it would block annoying calls but it doesn’t. Maybe it’s my phone, or maybe the app is just not working. That’s disappointing.
  • Great blocker!

    By Doggie dig
    Works every time!
  • Really?

    By anerak 1948
Nothing u can’t find by running phone # on Google Not automatic - still have to copy phone # then submit it on hi ya app urself the block thru hiya is ineffective :(
  • Save your money

    By CaptJeffP
Don’t answer calls not from contact list. This app lets all calls through and you have to research and submit info, as well as do the blocking of the number. So, save your money!
  • Used to work great

    By Chris Houston
I have this app on my Android it worked great then they updated it and it does not work like it did. As near as I can tell it don’t work at all on my apple
  • Paid for subscription, hasn’t worked once

    By Broshaughnessy
I heard so many great things about this app/service, so I went in and paid for the premium subscription for a year. A few months in, and I still get spam calls. Sometimes, after the fact, Hiya will say in the phone app that it was spam… not really useful when it’s supposed to tell you as the phone is ringing. I regret getting the year subscription.
  • Great app, but one suggestion

    By BSzen27
Does everything it promises and for free, but would love to block international calls. Can you make that happen Hiya?

    By Lovethearts
2 weeks ago I got 53 calls in 7 days from robo calls and telemarketers. I couldn’t keep my phone’s ringer on because they would call 2-3x in a row even if I declined the call. I have a baby and the ringer would wake her up but I wanted to get other notifications and calls from family. Ive has my phone on silent for 9 months. Since installing I’ve received ZERO calls that I didn’t want!! My phone isn’t on silent anymore! I was skeptical at first but it works and now I love this app.
  • Doesn’t work on I-phone

    By Woodworker pro
Had this installed for 6 months. Still waiting for it to block it’s first spam call. Followed the instructions to reinstall and assorted other fixes. Keeps updating the spam database but has not blocked it’s first call. Junk, don’t bother downloading.
  • Great App

    By June 14, 2012
This app works as billed. Really like it.
  • Goldrush

    By goldrish
    Has not blocked one call
  • Suddenly dozens of robo calls!

    By Racuda00
This app worked fine until 03/04/2019. Then, in six days I received 23 bad calls. I then deleted the app and installed YouMail and voila! No more spam/robo/telemarketers! I believe (but can’t prove) that Hiya was pushing it’s premium service by deactivating the free version hoping people would start paying just to get relief.
  • A bit of a reprieve!

    By Saber38
Thanks Hiya for a well designed App that is doing precisely what it is supposed to do and unobtrusively!! Several months later first annoying call. Love the APP. Thanks guys still blocking after all these months *****
  • Whoa...😆

    By PDawgTho
This is seriously the greatest thing, maybe, quite possibly ever...However... I find on my device/version/IOS it hasn't allowed we to just view the name/identity on my dropdown list that iPhone has as a function. I can see everything if I copy and paste number, but feel this is sort of "extra" as they say, lol. Some times the caller id will say "Oh hey! Hiya: Satan calling!" I thought that was super cool. Then...it stopped doing it! 😩 I am starting to think maybe it doesn't currently have the phone number stored to forewarn. The only other minor this is the "Blocking" feature. It's temperament for me, but not too crucial where I'm not going to take advantage of that yearly price renewal! This app is amazing and sooooo helpful. If you happen across numbers you receive calls from though, let's be in this thing and get all the spammers and Robo people that laugh with the 'ol "Ha ha ha! I'm not sure what you mean!? I've never been asked that before!!!??" 😒😐😑 Two words: DO IT!!!!
  • Works like a charm!

    By Finnebobbel
Couldn’t be happier. Installed a week ago, after being inundated with spam calls. Ever since I installed Hiya, I had exactly zero spam calls!
  • Removed Review

    By Jjohnson x
Removed review. Knocked star rating from 5 to 3 because app proved to not block spam calls as well as I initially thought it did. Nevertheless, it still performed better than other apps I have tried. So, I’m still looking for a better solution to the FCC’s failure to do their job.
  • Don’t use this

    By Former paying user
This app is useless doesn’t work.
  • Takes The Mystery out of those RoBo Calls

This is a great little app to use for all those Business owners or Phone Jockeys that need the peace in mind of the unknown RoBo Ghost Callers
  • A.Higgins

I have tried other mobile call protection apps and Hiya is a very good product. I can see me using it for a long time!!
  • Very good

    By Cros eye
Performs well. Does what it is supposed to do. Would recommend it.
  • I get more spam call now than ever

    By Maddog68$$
App developer probably sells our numbers to spam community. Useless brick of an app.
  • So Far, So Good...!

    By mickismynick
It’s now been about 12 hours and I haven’t got a single Robo call or other annoyance call since I installed this app! It’s 8 o’clock in the morning and this is when the clowns usually start pestering me. Let’s see what happens, I am actually becoming hopeful! -Mike
  • Useless

    Does NOT work!!
  • So many spam calls

    By &@36(/6
I continue to get so many spam calls. I do not see that this works well at all.
  • Need to pay to use

    By OnkelPete
This app worked great when I first downloaded it. It blocked spam calls and would identify possible spam callers. I raved about it to my friends. Then, maybe after an update, I received many spam calls and looked them up with the Hiya app. Although I updated the app everyday, it no longer identifies a number as spam unless you pay a yearly or monthly fee.
  • Use to be good but not anymore

    By Poseidon322
This app used to be a decent spam call blocker. However, it has been changed. It doesn’t even alert well known scammer caller. Also, every spam report I report gets ignored. No wonder why it does alert scam caller anymore.
  • I'm not really impressed

    By Thwarp
To think they only have a database of a bit more than 200k numbers it's a wonder I'm not getting more aggravating calls. It's done an OK job of it though. But I'm still getting 2-3 calls a day and around 7-8 spoof calls a day that Hiya doesn't forewarn me about. It doesn't shine with identifying spoofing calls. It's not worth upgrading to the subscription either. I'm switching to a paid service where they have a database of over 1 million. We'll see how it goes there.

    By Pinktreehands
I’m a busy real estate agent... I get scores of calls ALL DAY that are huge time wasters. Now, I know if a call is coming from a scammer, a salesperson, or a potential client! Love it!
  • Disappointed

    By roboperson
So when I got this app it worked perfectly fine but months later it does not perform as it used to or as promised. Not happy
  • Ok

    By $$@7@(5;);$)36($9&62:5):$
This app is mediocre. I still receive a lot of unwanted phone calls but not as many as I used to. Wish this app would do a better job at stopping more unwanted calls.
  • I don’t think it does a very good job.

    By Marco48134
I don’t think it does a very good job.
  • Reduces spam calls, but doesn't always work

    By Toa Of Justice
About half the time, I'll block a number through Hiya, but I'll still get a call from that number. I end up having to add the number to iOS's built-in block list. I'm considering switching to another app for call blocking.
  • Hiya

    By ange195860
    Great App!
  • Find another ~ not this one

    By nodontwantto
Only works half the time ~ always has to be manually updated. It’s the tease ~ to get u to buy the ‘updated’ version!
  • Used to be effective

    By CaptainRowdy
Worked great until updated and now want you to use premium service. No longer flags call spoofers or spam dialers
  • Works sometimes...too many same state calls get through though!

    By telemarketers smell bad
Not sure why, it works then takes a break🤣😴
  • Protection!

    By Kjcgoc
I love that I can block numbers and warn my friends! Great useful app!
  • Useless

    By frothythdog
Does nothing but alert you that an incoming call is spam but the phone still rings. There is supposed to be an option to block whole area codes but it doesn’t show up on my phone.
  • Terrible

    By pptt333
Why should I buy the premium when the free app won’t even block the calls!!
  • Does NOT work

    By Tkey1590
Simply does not block calls. Rarely shows the details of who’s calling. I recently switched from RoboKiller because it was half the price... that was a mistake. I can’t see Hiya doing anything! Definitely not worth the premium price. Get robokiller. I know I’ll be switching back.
  • Never works in iPhone

    By xgic
It was fine in android. I put it on my iPhone and it is a waste of space
