  • Not worth it

    By CSB43
I won’t be renewing after my year subscription runs out. Difficult interface, doesn’t work all the time, easy for kids to disable
  • Form over function

    By dblondin
For what it does, it’s overpriced. The user interface makes simple things like setting specific time periods for internet access impossible outside of one hour chunks at the start of every hour. And when it’s disabled you can’t allow certain programs that rely on internet access like Spotify. Basically they’ve chosen to limit features in order to keep the interface simple. But at the expense of it not solving the problems it’s intended to.
  • Parental controls and internet filtering.

    By Di NapoliMyatt
I have two young sons and Qustodio is a great ally for ensuring their internet safety through reliable parental controls and internet filtering.
  • Recommend this to other parents

    By Mechic Hulse
I love the peace of mind that Qustodio gave me while my kids access the internet. I can definitely recommend this to other parents. Your teens need such a program!
  • Internet filters app

    By Toy Auckland
I used to check my son's internet history on a daily basis to keep an eye on the websites he is visiting. That was a futile attempt what with the incognito mode and that is when I decided to set up internet filters. I tried the free version of Qustodio, and I have to say it is pretty impressive. It gives age-appropriate internet filters on its own, so now I don't have to keep checking his history. As a parent, I would recommend this for sure.
  • Very responsive and helpful app

    By Shillabeer Laurie
I have used many web filtering apps and the feature which differentiates Qustodio from all others is that it uses real-time analysis to screen inappropriate words and content thus blocking websites efficiently; many other services still depend on a listed database of inappropriate sites! The customer support team is very responsive and the features are also very helpful. Will recommend this app to all parents.
  • Wonderful

    By Kia1587
This app is wonderful and the bad reviews are from the teens themselves. Of course no teens will like it because they don’t like rules that simple. This is an amazing app and my teen was getting into trouble and viewing things they shouldn’t have. This apps makes me in control and the free version gives a lot of support! The paid version gives an extra boost. I love this app so much I am saving up for the premium version. Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe!!!

I use it to limit time on computer so he can earn it with good behavior and choices. Would like it if it was on 5 minute incremental periods vs 15 minutes increments. I have not had good experience with time restriction but that is not critical for my use.
  • Nice idea but implementation issues block iCloud backup and find my phone

    By massdad
I’m mostly interested in internet blocking based on filters and content. For my purposes this works well. However this VPN also blocks iCloud backup and find my iphone. Filed several bug reports to no avail. It’s a deal breaker when can’t backup or find the device. When can this be fixed Qustodio developers?
  • Can’t open it

    By supasudi
Paid for subscriptions and works great on computer. However I just got a new phone for my son and it won’t even load. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling and still nada. What’s up with this most recent version?
  • Perfect for teenage son

    By dougwads
It is really hard to find a good app that will let you set time limits on your kids device, and also kind of track what they are doing, this one is perfect, and super easy to use and setup. I am a thrilled parent. Found this buy reading reviews of the best softwares available in a news article.
  • Highly recommended

    By Dupsylove
This has been a life saver for me. I have 3 kids with individual laptops and it drives me Crazy not knowing what they are up to when they get on the internet which is required for school and home work. This has given peace of minds, highly recommended
  • Mediocre Product, Terrible execution

    By J1A1S2O3N5
My mother installed this, and I dislike it with a burning passion. It will say you ran out of a time allowance in the middle of the night, it resets at 4:00PM every day, and it also halves the speed of your phone, it feels like. Any time you want to go in the internet, you need to wait up to 5 minutes for Qustodio to load, and then it works. Barely. If you are a helicopter parent who cares not a whit about functionality, just the controlling influence over your child, this app is for you.
  • Lacking for iphone

    By Lyleeloo
The app interface is fine, fairly easy to navigate, but certainly not instinctive. The limit categories are too broad. You cannot block certain search terms. Also, you cannot block specific pages within a domain—I may want my kid to be able to access YouTube for educational videos posted by his teacher, but certain channels need the option to block. It’s all or nothing with this app. Kind of pricey given the limitations. There are less expensive apps that do the same, and equally expensive or very slightly more expensive apps that do a bit more.
  • Fraud

    By Hjsum
This is a fraud company. I paid the subscription and then promptly cancelled. They don’t refund your money. There’s no phone number to contact. They don’t REFUND your money. You are enrolled in a subscription service on iTunes which you can’t cancel. I’m now in the process of contacting the FBI, Better Business Bures and Apple.
  • Worked for the first year...

    By Ceejamejay
I loved this app for the first year, so I renewed for a second year. That’s when it stopped working. I had to download the app quite a few times and if didn’t matter. It stopped tracking my kids’ time and usage and wouldn’t lock their phones. To make matters worse, I emailed the help desk and they assured me that they were working on the issue and would get back to me... four months ago. Still no resolution and now I have to find a new app. Grr!
  • Does NOT filter anything!!

    By pkokenes
We purchased and installed this on an android. After about a month of use I started questioning how well it worked and decided to do a test search. I typed in a porn site and not only was it NOT blocked but it didn’t even show up in the parental history view! I did the same thing in incognito mode (which is supposed to be disabled via qustodio). Not only did it allow incognito mode, it also allowed porn sites through AND again hide it all from the parental history log. We have tried emailing customer support ( because there is no phone number) for a week and we have gotten absolutely no response. Awful!!
  • Good but...

    By thomspersonal
Would get 5 stars if it worked better on iOS. The messenger and phone tracking/settings don’t work for iOS devices. However, if you have android amazing app. Other than that complaint... all the other parts of this app work great on both iOS and android.
  • CRAP!

    By JTM 3RD
IPHONE USER’S! Do not upgrade to premium. You can not use any of the upgrades that you pay $54.99 for and Qustodio can not refund your money because you pay through the Apple App Store. Then Apple says the app isn’t refundable. Do not purchase it’s useless.
  • Overall a good app and does what it says it does

    By Krookiemonster
Does a really good job of keeping your kids safe on the internet. Also helps monitor how much your kids are on their devices. Their interface is pretty usable and helps see what they have been on. I’m deducting a star because their support could improve. Offering phone support would be helpful. I had some issues on the 2009 MacBook my son has and only having email based support made it take much longer to fix the problem.
  • Locked out at first installation

    By concerned pareent
I was initially interested in this product to block my preteen son from adult web sites. Unfortunately the intended device (iPad) will not let me access the program at first installation, it will not accept my Qustodio password despite multiple password resets. Online “help” replies with a message to expect a response in 2 days. At that speed, they might as well just send me a letter in the mail.
  • Why?!

    By Mr. MechBurgerYT
Why is YouTube only allowed for like an hour or so and then won’t load?! Can you turn this off? If not, is it a bug? Or is it default? Help!

  • Not what I thought.

    By Zcrid
I thought I would be able to see texts, monitor social media, keep my kids safe from internet predators. Really the only thing this app is good for is to set screen time limits.

The stupid app keeps taking vpn off of my phone and then I can’t use the internet. I have the automatic connect vpn thing and it still doesn’t automatically connect. I have to personally go and connect the vpn and even then it doesn’t always connect. It is the dumbest app that they’ve ever made!!!!!
  • Great app

    By tlk100
Only reason I didn’t give five stars is because it only monitors text messaging on android devices and not on iOS yet.
  • It works!

    By HonestPIMom
We’ve used this app for a year. We can see every website our teen visits. We can regulate if we want but instead it gives us an opportunity to educate him. It helps him makes better decisions with guidance. We can regulate how much he is in specific apps. That way his game time is limited. I can also see if he’s trying to play a game at school and he gets a text from me saying, “Dude, pay attention!” I do wish you could regulate what time of day individual apps are available so game apps could be shut off during school hours. Another good update would be to see text messages. Not word for word but just triggering words and emojis. Most bad reviews seem to be kids who are upset about the app. Good I’m glad they are upset. It means the app works! Trust is earned and my kid knows we trust but verify. We’re here to help him make better decisions and to be a good human.
  • The internet problem

    By Mr Faxo
I’m a kid I don’t care I have this app installed but why does my internet go down and go do I fix it youtube doesn’t work and it’s not even blocked
  • BS

  • False advertising

    By Piuytt
You should make clear that Call/SMS monitoring, panic button and some other features ONLY apply for Android phones, not iOS. Had that been made clear I would not have done the expensive (and otherwise useless) upgrade to Premium.
  • Has huge flaws

    By Ih8lags
This VPN won’t let my kids connect to my WiFi and also whenever they go over the time the don’t know they got on text from me. It is a good idea but far from perfect.
  • Easy to use

    By Dadrill
My friend recommended to me Qustodio. I tried other apps and find it but confusing and not user friendly. I eventually purchased Qustodio since my 10 yrs old got iPads last year. The only set back was I wish there’s a passcode or password so my kid can’t access Qustodio on my phone. I just have to set up passcode on my phone instead. Qustodio don’t have all the apps video games control but majority and main ones like fortnite, YouTube, Facebook, roblox, Madden NFL, even amazon.
  • iPhone users, beware!

    By Happyhiker61
I purchased Qustodio, which implied that I would be able to monitor my child’s messages and phone calls on her iPhone. I found out after the purchase that this works only with an Android, and immediately, literally within an hour of purchasing Qustodio, cancelled my subscription and closed my account. Today, I received notification from the Apple app store that I was charged for a one year subscription. When I tried to contact Qustodio, I found that you could not send them an email if you have closed your account. I have sent an email to Apple, apprising them of the situation, as well as my credit card company. In the short time that I used Qustodio, it falsely sent notifications to me that my daughter had visited Facebook and Youtube, neither of which was on her phone, and was solely in my possession. I will update soon to report how Qustodio responds to this situation.
  • Poor performance, not user-friendly and annoying to even TRY to use.

    By Andrew Wolthers
As a parent I was searching for an app that could regulate internet usage. I heard about this app through an ad, and I decided to try. However, the system was IMPOSSIBLE from the get-go. I finally set the app up on my phone as well as my children’s phones, then it was a PAINSTAKING process trying to connect their phones to my phone and I hated trying to set it up. And once it was finally ready, my kids could get into the system and change the usage settings FROM THEIR PHONES. So yeah I’m a little angry to say the least. I deleted this app and I am eager to use Questodio’s competitors apps because it can’t be worse than this.
  • life ruining

    By lapeche58
makes apps glitch, even when my kids time is up, wouldn’t let my kid facetime my parents even when i fixes the settings. DO NOT GET THIS APP. IT RUINS LIVES.
  • Muy buena!!!

    By El duque maravillo
  • CRAP!!!

    By Epic Brony Gamer
I am a “child” whose parents put this app on MY phone. And it does its job, but in the worst way it possibly can. When it removes apps and returns them, I find them spread all across my home screen. They aren’t in their folders anymore and they aren’t organized the way I organized them. What’s wrong with these retarded devs? Did they think it would be funny? If they did I’d love to send them a virus that rearranges their desktop. If you idiots would change the app that would be great. I really don’t appreciate you trashing my home screen!
  • Ripping apart your friendship with your child.

    By ndyevdjxj
My child now hates me for putting his app on their phone and laptop. She will now ignore me and be very rude. Don’t put his app on their devices because your friendship with your child will be ruined.

Hahaha u got my moms phone stupiud app hahaha
  • Easy to use

    By DoubD
This app was easy to set up and to use to manage use of screens. I set a time allotment for each day and all screens turn off after that.
  • Not happy!

    By hsparent55
Thought it would be a good tool. Man was I fooled! It’s been a pain in the neck ever since I installed it. It completely uninstalls all my sons apps forcing an all day reinstall the next morning. And that is only one of the many problems it has. When you think it’s blocking something it isn’t.
  • Not reliable

    By Fanhanging
So when it works it has been helpful- but too often it shows no details but hours worth of usage. I try to block apps but the kids are still able to use them. I have contacted customer service and followed their directions- I have even searched online to see how they could be getting around things. Still no luck fixing it. So basically worthless to me.
  • The App is limited but...

    By PickingAway
3 stars here because much of the functionality I would like to see in the App is only available in the web page. So, rating the App itself, it is really limited. The service in general is good if you want to understand and monitor what you kid is accessing and the time he/she spends. We have not really had luck with the limits as they seem to lock too much up when times up. That is, I need for my kid to have this as a voice and text communication tool always. I want to limit his surfing and game usage. See like what they do it turn of the internet access rather than browser access when browsing time is up. This of course kills the ability for WiFi calling. That and we have never had any luck remotely unlocking. You might say, “Hey you can do this all...”, but if you can it is not intuitive.
  • Beware of paying annual fee for “trial” service...

    By igdyod
I downloaded the app, thought it looked pretty good so bought a one year subscription. But noticed fight away online that I still show as “trial” customer. A week later, I have now exchanged a half dozen emails with different customer help employees who have no ability to find me in their system and once I sent them the receipt they sent me when I paid they suddenly went silent. There is no contact info to call them. Is this a real company? I’m giving them one more day then contacting my credit card company claiming fraud. Not impressed at all!
  • Poor reporting from app

    By terronisaurus
Aside from being buggy and regularly needing to be reinstalled, when it does work it does not differentiate between time used and time unused in a day. We wake up to see that 6 hours have been clocked despite no use. This makes monitoring usage time impossible. Too bad I bought their “2-year special” ; unfortunately there are very few alternatives.
